Our family just returned from a week at Villa Siempre in Costa Rica, and we’re already wishing we could go back. From the moment we arrived at the gated property and were warmly welcomed by the home staff, everything felt inviting. Pulling into the tiled parking area surrounded by lush trees set the tone for the peaceful, private experience. The home is beautifully designed, with five separate sleeping areas and 3.5 bathrooms - perfect for groups, yet still amazing for our family of four to spread out and relax. The open living space made it easy to cook, connect, and enjoy time together. The true highlight is the back of the home - floor-to-ceiling glass doors open to a stunning ocean view just steps away. We spent hours on the patio listening to the waves and watching unforgettable sunsets. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, reconnect, and truly reset, I can’t recommend Villa Siempre enough.

The pool and the location were the highlights of this Airbnb . 4 min drive to puerto viejo beach, which is beautiful and unspoiled. Our host’s recommendations were all great and the catamaran tour arranged was awesome. The beach is next to playa conchal but mellow and remote. We had a long sometimes rough drive from the airport in San Jose— Liberia would have been a better choice. Playa grande for surfing waves and sunsets. The guards of the complex were very nice. Everything was fantastic and we will return!

Everything was easy. Was ableto park behind a gate. House only had keys, lockbox or keypad would be nice but worked out very well. can't beat the location. Plenty of space and multiple AC units kept the place a great temp!

Rustic! We loved it for two nights but happy to upgrade after that. Price was good for what it is. No AC was a little hard on everyone through the nights but I loved the sound of the ocean and geckos. Super cool surfers crashing house. Not a lot of privacy for very large groups. Perfect location for surfing. I sat on the beach at 4:30am with coffee, towels and my favorite surf shammy and I left my sweatpants there to walk down the beach when the sun started coming up and when I returned all my things were gone!! My pants and towels. They left my coffee cup. So at 5ish AM someone took all my belongings. Very uncomfortable knowing someone was right outside the gate and took my things. I asked Gabriela but it wasn’t her so it made me feel very uncomfortable for the rest of the stay and I was always looking outside at night. BUT still think the place is cool

Casa Howler is an amazing villa that is just a short walk to beach, and close to shops and restaurants in Potrero. Easily accommodated our 4 adults and 4 teens with lots of space to spread out. We loved the pool, strong A/C, and the beach gear. Don’t miss out on the sunsets, local yoga at the boutique hotel nearby, and having Veronica cook a meal for you. She was lovely and the meal was delicious! The area felt very safe— there was is a security guard on the premises at night, which didn’t feel necessary, but was a welcome addition. Salty was an amazing host and super responsive and helpful! Highly recommend as a home base in the Guanacaste area!

Great place - nice and big, so nice to have space to spread out. Amenities all worked well. We had one issue with A/C when there was a power surge but Salty responded immediately to my text. We loved the animals - monkeys, birds, squirrels, local dogs coming by to say hi. It is pretty isolated - we saw one neighbor while we were there. Once you get off the main road, the dirt road to get to the house is 4 km of rumble strips - be ready! But the drive down to the beach (Playa Puerto Viejo) is 2 minutes from the house and is beautiful and calm. There’s not a lot of space when it’s high tide, but it’s GREAT at low tide. There are plenty of local amenities - little supermarkets, fruit store, restaurants. And local beaches and towns are pretty easy to get to and all have a different flavor (after the 4 km of rumble strips to get back to the main road) - we went to Brasilito, Playa Flamingo, and Tamarindo. We want to come back!

The house was wonderful and accommodated our large family. The property manager was outstanding, helpful, and responsive. The true definition of service. I would return to this home in a heartbeat.

If you are wanting to stay on a secluded, pristine beach for surfing and water sports with the kids. This is the place. It’s not the Ritz but has everything a family could need or want and is completely comfortable. Elsa is awesome and super helpful.

This place is pretty magical. Located in a quiet and peaceful location near some incredible Costa Rican beaches. About a 5 minute drive to Playa Puerto Viejo (amazing beach on the south side of Playa Conchal), as well as super close to Playa Mina and Bahia Pirates (best sunset). The home itself is large and well maintained with a large refreshing pool! We had everything we needed to feel at home. The first day we noticed that the coffee machine was not working properly and the next morning they dropped off a brand new coffee machine before 9am - great service!! We saw tons of monkeys, and plentiful amounts of tropical birds while having coffee on the decks. The washer and dryer worked great and were super helpful. The bedrooms were well appointed and the beds were comfortable. Oh and it has really really great water pressure AND lots of hot water (hard to find in Costa Rica). I’d recommend this property to anyone looking to explore the area!
