Andrés was a phenomenal host! Before we arrived he gave us a perfect and varied list of places to visit. The instructions to get into the Airbnb were easy to follow and accurate. The Airbnb was beautiful, clean, and provided everything we needed and more. The surrounding area is lush and green with an interesting drive. We felt very safe as Andrés looked out for our safety via cameras and sensors. The rooms were spacious enough to keep things and there were plenty of indoor spaces to explore and visually enjoy. It can get a bit warm inside but it’s not an issue as there is natural airflow coming into the space. I’d recommend this Airbnb to anyone who wants a bit of seclusion and beautiful natural sights to look at.

One of the nicest and most beautiful homes I have ever seen and stayed in. A beautiful home surrounded by beautiful greenery. WiFi was super fast, and location was perfect. A perfect get away. I can’t thank Andre’s enough for the fast responses and flexible check in and check out times. Will definitely be coming back recommending it to other family and friends!

Very unique place. A little dated but nothing that would harm the experience. No AC but you can make a cool draft by strategically opening windows. I can’t say we missed having an AC at all. Lots of nature around, wake up to birds chirping every morning. Host was very responsive and helpful. We had a private chef cook us dinner per his recommendation and had a fantastic experience. Overall, if you’re an adult couple looking for a unique and romantic place this is a great option.

I loved the open design concept of Andre's house, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the setting - tropical trees, animals, beautiful skyline. We enjoyed sitting on the balconies, taking in the breezes, watching the birds (we saw Toucans everyday). It was very peaceful. Andre's recommendations were perfect! There are a lot of hiking and mountain bike trails near by and good restaurants within driving distance. The house was well stocked. Thank you Andre's for a wonderful stay!

SPEECHLESS about the home! Book expeditiously! Be careful with chefs though we had a horrible experience with the chef and not a dime back. That didn’t have anything to do with the host though I guess but Andres was AMAZING

This place was such a special find. It’s tucked away in a quiet, secluded spot, and the design of the home is just stunning—like something out of an architecture lover’s dream, but still warm and welcoming. You really feel connected to nature while still enjoying all the comforts of a beautiful, well-thought-out space. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and offering great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. It made a big difference and helped us make the most of our time there.

Andres place was absolutely stunning and paid so much attention to detail and beauty !! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back . We spent most of our days lounging and enjoying the views outside of all the glass floor to ceiling . I love watching all the birds and butterflies while sipping coffee. He gave amazing instructions and recommendations and it really made the trip so special ! we did have the private chef Gabriel come out and cook us a birthday dinner and it was phenomenal!! This beautifully designed masterpiece of house will be unforgettable. Costa Rica has captured my heart ! Thank you so much Andres for being an amazing incredible host !!!! :)

Andres place is an amazingly designed domicile. It is such a treat to be inside and outside of it. The backyard is beautiful and more treed than the front. So you get both. Every platform on the house has an indoor and outdoor space—you always feel like you’re both inside and outside. It’s amazing! The cross-drafts are great. Andre is VERY attentive to responses. We appreciated that very much. As a first stop outside of SJ, we would totally recommend!

Andrés was a great host! Lots of excellent recommendations and proactive in making sure we arrived and were comfortable. This home is stunning! Such a gem and I loved the secluded location not far from a wonderful little area. We visited the caves and had dinner (recommended by Andrés), cooked breakfast at the villa and ate on the gorgeous deck surrounded by beautiful birds. Day two we visited the mountains, coffee farm and “the hand”… so fun! We had spent time in Quepos and this was a good change of pace. We very much enjoyed Ciudad Colon and Andrés Villa.

Fantastic stay! The very minor issue we had with a short power outage (not normal, just poor timing!) was solved immediately by Andres, who was extremely responsive. The space was truly lovely!

The Villa was perfect and in a quiet neighborhood! Everything was easy to access and use. The only thing is the master bed is a mattress on the floor and it would have been a little more comfortable to have a box spring or it lifted off the floor a bit. Other than that it was perfect and would highly recommend! Andres was very helpful and had great communication!

Andres is definitely a super host. He responded within minutes to the couple of questions I had for him. There was no much to ask as the house is beautifully designed and has everything anyone would need, as described. It was absolutely worth the price. I would stay again without hesitation

Andrés is an incredible host! He was very responsive and gave clear instructions on how to get to the AirBnb which was straight out of a fairy tale. Absolutely gorgeous! He gave us some great recommendation’s! This trip was one of a kind for me. Not only was I celebrating my birthday but I got to propose to my now fiancée. Andrés recommended an incredible private chef that I highly recommend. We will be visiting this property again!

I had a great stay at Andrés’s villa. He was extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations and getting me set up with a driver and private chef. Gerardo was my driver the entire week and he was incredible. Chef Gabriel cooked for me 2 nights and both times were amazing. Highly recommend them. I was solo on this trip so the house was a little spooky at night with all the sounds of nature (birds and bugs tapping on glass). But besides that everything went smoothly. Great secluded getaway

Great place literally amazing. It’s extremely elegant and beautiful. The drive to the place I would say is the only setback but once you get there you understand the drive is worth it because it’s a breathtaking spot in the mountains.

Super unique spot that looks amazing in the day time. Andrés was very responsive and even provided great recommendations for activities and restaurants. Check-in was also very easy with very detailed instructions. The house is surrounded by foliage/nature, so as expected, there are bugs. As a pro-tip, you can keep the doors/windows closed in the evening. Also, the location is about 15 minutes away from the main city, so plan accordingly.

Highly recommend staying at this beautiful home. Andres is one of the best hosts I’ve ever experienced (and I’ve stayed at a LOT of Airbnb’s). The house is wonderful and has a lot of amenities - everything you need.

Andres' villa was everything I expected and then some. The villa was secluded enough that our experience felt private and intimate but close enough to a local cafe and convinience store. The drive into the city was about 30mins and Andres was very helpful in communicating relatively quickly with local recommendations. It really was an experience worth having again.

Andres was a great host and very communicative throughout our stay. The bnb is exactly as pictured and just as beautiful in person. There’s nothing within walking distance so you’ll need a car to get to a grocery store or to get in town for dinner, but all are within driving distance (15-30mins). Andres gave us great recommendations on a private chef (Chef Gabriel) and a masseuse (China) who came to the house! We had a very memorable experience at this house and would recommend to any visitors to San Jose!

This place is Absolutely breath taking. The architect of this home is just stunning. Definitely plan on coming back. This home was the highlight of my whole trip.

We had a great stay at this beautiful villa. It is worth the money. I would recommend definitely having a driver or renting car. However, there’s a lot of curves and uphill because the villa is in the mountain. We saw Tuscans from our bathroom. I loved the master bathroom and bedroom. However, there was a scent coming out from the pipes but I think this was due to the forest and the location is in candles and incense helped with this though. Andres was super helpful and gave us wonderful recommendations.

The Architect's Villa is what its name is evoking in the purest form. Many of the features could only come from a creative mind with a taste for design and beauty. It blends seamlessly with the beauty of the surrounding nature without compromising the comfort of the modern world. You may need a little time to adjust to some of the unique elements of the house. It is built to benefit from the fresh breeze with large glass doors that open on each side. Although there were no screens we did not have issues with bugs a little to our own surprise. Mind you we were careful to shut all of them when darkness settled in and the need for artificial light appeared. Andrés is as nice a host as you can dream of. He is clearly one of the best.

Special place to rest, read and have a glass of wine. Very nice house, nice vegetation many birds to see

We had a great time at the Architects Villa hosted by Andres! Initially we had a hard time finding the location as it was late in the evening & not much lighting in the area. Once we located the villa, it was extremely easy to get inside with the instructions that Andres provided. The villa is perfect & looks exactly like the pictures! Andres was very responsive & helpful when we could not locate the third bedroom due to the intricate design of the home. After calling, he was able to navigate us to the room with no issues lol. Prior to staying at the villa Andre’s provided multiple resources/things to do that came in handy. I’d recommend that you hire a driver (we did) as the villa is in the mountains and Uber isn’t too responsive. Takes around 15 mins to locate Uber & another 20 for them to arrive. Our only complaint were the bugs (to be expected) so we purchased Raid. There’s also no AC. Be aware of that. But the villa is cool at night. Overall, the stay was amazing would recommend!!

Andre’s place was beautiful, looked exactly like the pictures. Andres was such a pleasant host, he was very communicative, responded quickly at all times and gave amazing recommendations and help. The few small things I would comment on is 1) there’s a lot of bugs/insects that fly in, so be aware. 2) it would be nice to have automatic blinds on every window for additional privacy, at night it felt a little scary being there as girls just because of how open the house was. it would be nice to have another layer of privacy for that. Other than that, the house & experience at the villa was great.

Loved the villa . Andres was great with communication and helping with any questions I had . The location is kinda far so we weren’t able to get Ubers from the villa or Uber eats to come to the villa. But if you’re out, Uber will take you back to the villa. Only complaint I have is there was a lot of insects and spiders . Other than that everything was great .

Owner and architect of this beautiful villa - Andres - is one of the kindest and most responsive Airbnb hosts I have ever encountered. Nothing was a problem and he offered many great suggestions for us - both during our stay at the villa and for the rest of our 10 day stay in Costa Rica. The villa itself is beautifully designed and super spacious. I loved gazing into the forest behind the house. The location is tucked away up in the hills behind Colon. We found the best restaurants to be in Santa Ana which is about 30 minutes away. I highly recommend renting a car for maximum flexibility.

Such a beautiful place, it was actually breathtaking, enjoyed my stay. It was a bit out the way but Andres was really helpful with contacting drivers to pick us up. It would be a nice idea to maybe have a car service associated with the Airbnb to make it a bit easier to get around. Overall, enjoyed my stay, very lovely place.

Where do I even start - what an incredible home. - location is in a gated community and in a small town so feels very safe - villa looks better than in the pictures - host and staff are extremely kind and welcoming - honestly looks like something out of a James Bond movie Thank you so much Andres!! 5 star host with a 5 star property!!

Andrès’s home is beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The villa is in a very quiet and safe area. Upon walking into the home we were taken aback by the beautiful design and attention to detail. The villa smelled amazing and had spa quality toiletries in the bathroom. We Before we even arrived in Costa Rica, Andrès was extremely helpful. He sent me a list of things to do and an ideal itenerary for our short stay. He also connected me with a trusted taxi driver friend of his who was just as amazing. The driver spoke perfect English and picked my fiancée and I up from our remote ecolodge in the rain forest. We had a minor hiccup with the pick up and Andrès stepped in to communicate with our hotel since there was a language barrier (I speak no Spanish and couldn’t relay what the driver needed me to). Andrès called the hotel and smoothed everything over. He even helped me when I wanted to order Uber eights. Highly highly recommend his villa. You will love it!

Andre’s was very responsive and helpful in locating this home. Phone reception was close to zero in the area. The house itself is in a rural neighborhood in the woods but still has ubereats delivery available. There is no uber car pickup though and you need a taxi to get back home. There is no air condition but the wind breeze from the walls that open keeps the place cool. Andre’s was also very respectful whenever he had any requests. I would recommend highly.

Architect’s Villa INDEED!!! WOW! 🤩 From hidden rooms to opening walls, this place was AweMAZEing! Andrés is helpful AF -never taking more than an hour or so to respond, resolving issues same day, reaching out months before our stay w/ tips, hints & recommendations! He helped us plan romantic retreats filled with fun, adventure, & animals! They were our top experiences and the best food! 😋 The villa is beautiful!!! 😍 Black overlays everything from countertops to end tables. This jungle house opens up utilizing walls of windows that make catchin’ a breeze and bird lullabies immersive! Saw Tuscans, Monkeys, deers, & motmots! A maid comes weekly to keep the bugs out and Andrés didn’t quibble over a broken cup & movie rental. His generosity was as abundant as his thoughtfulness! He made sure we not only felt at home but became friends. Only downside is the reflective windows attracted accidental bird deaths & my newlywed wife became traumatized from daily hits. Andrés will remedy! 😁🤙

Gorgeous home - truly unique! Stayed with my parents and boyfriend and we all found the property comfortable, relaxing and perfectly equipped for our stay. Highly recommend the el Toldedo coffee tour and the rescate wildlife rescue sanctuary; both about an hour away. Tulsi cafe is a short walk away with lovely veggie and vegan food! Also check out the peace park opposite. Bistro 22 in the local town is great for food and local art!

This house is simply magical, surrounded by lush tropical forest I enjoyed every moment of my stay . Having a morning coffee in the back terrace of the house where butterflies and birds abound, was a peaceful start to a day full of fun! I was able to hear the monkeys in the distance , and also saw a couple of toucans. There are restaurants close to the house and a well stocked supermarket just 2 minutes away by car , easy to walk to also, and 10 minutes away is downtown ciudad colon where you find anything you may need, there’s an Argentine restaurant I would recommend called Che pizza. I will definitely return to stay in this unique house on my next visit to San jose !

This place was beyond our expectations! An architectural masterpiece designed with one-of-a -kind details and finishes. Spacious, modern and full of light from every angle of the house that makes you feel one with nature. We enjoyed the house so much that we stayed there the whole time. Birds singing, an untouched forest right on your backyard, ample terraces and balconies to take in the green of the surroundings, amazing landscaping and fresh air. Internet speed and AV in the house was great. The house is located up in the hill about 8-10 minutes away from the town Cuidad Colon where you can find great supermarkets and all basic services and only 20 minutes away from the well-known Multi Plaza Mall, Escazu and Santa Ana with multiple high-end shops and restaurants. Andres was an amazing host, friendly and attentive throughout our stay. He knows the area very well and recommended restaurants and places of interest. Andrés is a top tier host! I traveled to Costa Rica with a friend for a short 3 day stay and much of our experienced was curated by our wonderful host. He provided a perfect itinerary and amazing restaurant recommendations and he was available every step of our stay. We simply lucked up on finding this beautiful property in just a week ahead of travel and from the moment we arrived at the property to the time of checkout we were in awe. It was truly the highlight of our travel experience to Costa Rica. The design of the villa is as striking as art in a museum. I found myself sitting and staring in amazement. It is beautifully designed and yet comfortable and prepared with all of the essentials needed for an amazing 5 star stay. It’s a short (for Costa Rica) 40 min commute from the airport. It’s peaceful and perfect. I can not recommend this place enough and I will definitely stay here again. We would honestly travel the world just to stay at a property that was hosted/designed by Andrés!
