Great accommodation, in the middle of the jungle. From the first night, we saw capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, and howler monkeys! And Dario was always responsive. I would recommend him!

Beautiful location, really in the middle of the jungle. Monkeys every day, and we also saw many special animals in the garden. Very comfortable beds with very quiet air conditioners. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor living area. Dario always responded very quickly and resolved a small issue very quickly. The house needs some TLC, but since I live in the tropics, I also know that this is something that will remain. It's very nice to have a dishwasher, a great stove and an oven. Also a washing machine and dryer; you really need these in this high humidity. Again, wow, what a great location!!! I definitely recommend it!

Dario's place is amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. Dario himself is also amazing and went above and beyond answering all of our questions. To helping us plan the trip on the front end, to ongoing support once we were there, Dario could not have been easier or better to work with. I fully recommend both the house/location, as well as working with Dario!

Darío was always very friendly and answered all my messages with questions… The place is beautiful; I would definitely go again… It was also very peaceful; we were even able to see monkeys from the house.

This is the place if you want to immerse yourself in the tropical forest, near the beach, and close to many facilities. The house is comfortable with many common areas. Dario is an excellent host; he was available and willing to answer all questions we had, from practical things around the house to recommendations for nearby activities. Caribean food is in itself an experience... testing rice and beans in different places is a must, and Dario was very helpful on this adventure!

This place was great. We were greeted by monkeys everyday in the front and back yards. Pool is amazing. Location is spectacular. Dario was very responsive and I would absolutely stay there again!

Thanks Darío . Our experience at CASA PUNTA UVA was lovely . The propriety it’s a dream come true . Waking up in the middle of the rain Forest it’s absolutely breathtaking, the sound of the rain , the birds and animals it’s unbelievable. The house itself it’s super comfy , it’s super well maintain and everything works as per usual. My favorite part it’s the swimming pool ! We would love to stay there again. Thank you for be a great host !!!! Pura vida

We stayed here for 6 nights. The house was what we needed. 3 bedrooms, a pool, close to everything yet sooo private. Big open downstairs with nice living room and kitchen with everything you needed. Great outdoor covered decks on two levels in the back! comfortable beds. We saw monkeys in the trees, and woke up to them every morning. Lots of wildlife on the property. Dario was an amazing host. From start to finish with recommendations, great communication, directions, videos on how to get there. Just so easy to talk to about anything we needed at any time during our stay. The house could use a little TLC with some of kitchen cabinets broken and a missing shower door. Some wall decor to make it homier as well. But a great house for the price. Safe, comfortable and a great host! thanks for a great stay!

We spent 11 days in the house managed by Dario. The surroundings and nature are beautiful, and we enjoyed the variety of animals we saw. Also, the internet worked perfectly. Dario was very kind and was always attentive to our needs. However, it would be ideal for the house to receive a little maintenance, especially in aspects such as kitchen utensils and some doors that have problems. Despite this, for a short stay, you can enjoy the place.

Very deteriorated, needs maintenance, dirty pool, no dining chairs, missing doors in the kitchen cabinets. Very expensive for what it offers, it's not like in the photos!
Host Response
If you don’t want to pay to rent a luxury house then you should payless and not stay in one that has a private pool, air conditioners and fans throughout the whole house, purified drinking water, high speed internet, refrigerator with ice maker, oven, toaster, dish washer, washing machine, clothes dryer, unlimited towels and a fully furnished house that has never received a bad review until you. Fortunately for Casa Punta Uva, your review completely contradicts all our guests’ reviews. We are a super host since day one due to the 5 stars reviews and even though we made an exception to accommodate your request with less than a 24 hour notice, you were constantly complaining. I have never not recommended a guest to another host before, but you are the exception and other hosts should know.

We had a fantastic stay in the peace and beauty of this home in the jungle. The pool was so wonderful, I could even do some lap swimming it’s so long! Having AC controls in each room was great given we had two couples and one kid sleeping in three different rooms, plus the shared spaces were separately cooled. The huge porches were perfect for reading and relaxing, and the location was really peaceful for sleeping (no traffic or neighbors). The first morning I woke to the howler monkeys at 5am but after that I didn’t even hear them and I’m sound sensitive. It was such a joy to see monkeys swinging in the trees around the property, and to be able to walk just a few mins to the beach, a corner store, and restaurants, or to catch a tuk tuk to adventure to nearby beaches. The communication with Dario was amazing! He was so proactive, helpful and friendly. He is always available!

Great location, close to beautiful beaches, close to Cocles and Puerto Viejo to go to lunch or dinner, safe, quiet house away from the noise of cars almost in the beautiful forest, quiet air conditioners, a forest around that attracts lots of wildlife, a very nice pool, Mr. Darío is very friendly. Close to Manzanillo.

Dario’s home was peaceful and surrounded by nature. We enjoyed countess days and nights soaking in and listening to the wild animals that were in the trees. Dario was very helpful in assisting us to get around and made local dining recommendations as we were unfamiliar with the area. Casa Punta Uva is a gem and Dario ensures you will have a wonderful stay!
