2BR Guesthouse in Tamarindo

Great views, very nice pool, we enjoyed it very much!

Villa Temenos is an absolute gem. The setting and views are stunning and provide for a truly unique experience. We loved the open format of the kitchen, living area, balconies, and cabana. There were so many places to blissfully relax and soak in pura vida. We got to know a few insects and critters :) but were expecting this, and there were no issues. Henry, the local host, is extremely pleasant, engaging, responsive, and happy to help. We found the location of Villa Temenos to be perfect - a stone's throw from Dominical beach, town center, and the BM grocery store and a quick 5-minute drive to Dominicalito. We surfed four days between Dominicalito and Dominical and loved having two options so close by. Our family of 4 had a magical stay!

Villa Temenos is simply fantastic! We had the most wonderful stay. Truly so peaceful and beautiful, with toucans and macaws stopping by in the trees outside to say hello. Henry, the caretaker, is the friendliest and kindest person around. It was truly the best trip to relax & unwind within nature. The location to town is great and super easy to run in and out for groceries or to grab a bite to eat. The outdoor living space truly makes the villa! My husband and I kept commenting on how we’d never spent so much time outside on a trip and we loved it! We were there during the start of the green season so were able to have perfect mornings and afternoons then hangout under the covered area to listen to the evening rain and storms. Dean was responsive, hospitable, and provided the most helpful home guide. Truly appreciated! We can’t wait to return. Pura vida!

We loved staying here! The place was very clean and close to Dominical town and 20 mins drive to Uvita. We enjoyed the wildlife and the pool, and how peaceful and clean it was. The outdoor kitchen/lounge was fine for making simple meals. We also walked to Dominical twice along the beach but I wouldn't recommend it because the walk up and down the hill is tough! You definitely need a 4wd for this property, as the description & other reviews mention.

This is the place to stay, as others have shared. The layout, design and views from the property are amazing. You have to remind yourself to explore the country and not just while away staring at the ocean from the pool or balconies. We reliably spotted toucans and iguanas in the nearby trees and even spotted an anteater out front. The restaurants in Dominical are wonderful as are the locals. Location was a great jumping off point for our day trips and there's a full sized grocery store within a couple minutes. We traveled as a family with kids (13/10) who equally loved the property and country. The layout is great with fully separated sleeping quarters and shared common space. Don't hesitate -- and we'll be back with friends.

If you’ve landed on this review, I’ll make it easy on you. The answer is YES. Is the house even more incredible in person? YES Is there really wildlife on your doorstep? YES Are the views breathtaking? YES You get the idea…. I’ve stayed in almost 100 Airbnb’s and this one is truly special. If it’s available stop looking - this is your place. Bonus points for grocery story being close. If you book - you definitely need a 4wheel drive vehicle.

This place was ABSOLUTELY beautiful! Pictures truly do not do it justice. Henry, the caretaker, was super sweet and responsive, which definitely was the icing on the cake. We did have some power outages and ants, but due to the excessive rain, this was totally understandable. The guestbook was overly thorough, which made it a breeze to locate the beach and the restaurants. HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Mono Congo and Moromo Forneria. Everything we had was INCREDIBLE. If you are a cat person, there were quite a few sweeties in town! That sealed the deal for us! We would definitely return—-albeit maybe not during the rainy season. :)
