An amazing place!! Starting with the kindness of the hosts, the impeccable cleanliness of the place, all the amenities you need to have a fantastic stay. We felt better than at home, highly recommended, we will definitely return! Thank you for creating such a beautiful space in an area where Costa Rican roots are still felt.

We loved being just outside of the city to connect as a family and very much enjoyed the porch and private pool. Daniela is so helpful and responsive. Ubers or transport were easy to take us wherever we wanted to go. Thank you so much for hosting us!

Villa Fortuna was lovely! My group of 5 spent 3 nights in this peaceful and beautiful home just down the road from La Fortuna. The pool was refreshing, the AC in the bedrooms worked well, and we appreciated the privacy and natural surroundings. We even got a traditional breakfast delivered one morning which was delicious and convenient. Daniela and Arlen were super friendly and helpful!

This is one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in, especially for the price and amenities offered. We arrived in the dark, making it a little tricky to find (use Waze, not google maps) but Daniela was waiting for us to give us a tour of the house. We loved the pool and patio. We opted in for the breakfast on our first morning, and it was the perfect first morning in La Fortuna. Bar El Escape is about a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the house, and we went 4/5 nights we were there! It’s approximately 20 minutes to the heart of La Fortuna but we liked being in a quieter part of town and felt very safe. We saw lots of wildlife on the property, and loved looking at all the native plants. Our group of 5 had more than enough space. I would recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting La Fortuna!

My family and I had great week here. It’s close to La Fortuna. About 20 minutes away. Very private which added the relaxation we needed. The pool was great and very clean. Definitely need a car if you stay here. They offer breakfast for a small price. We ordered one morning and it was delicious!! Would definitely recommend this place over and over.

We had a wonderful time here. The pool area and outdoor eating area were real highlights. Daniela was extremely helpful and responsive. Getting there was slightly tricky, so I'd recommend trying to arrive before dark. With that said, when we got a little lost, Daniela and Arlen were super responsive and ready to go out in their car to find us. We loved the location and the privacy here. I saw hummingbirds outside my window while still in bed in the morning. Parakeets would fly overhead in the mornings and evenings. A/C's worked great. As did the hot water showers. No electric shower heads here, which we liked. Thanks again to Daniela and Arlen for a great time.

Our family of 6 stayed comfortably in this home on the outskirts of La Fortuna. We didn’t want a touristy feel. We wanted to get to know the locals and the culture, while also seeing all the amazing things La Fortuna had to offer. We went to the waterfall, volcano, Hanging Bridges, hot springs, etc. Having a private pool was icing on the cake! Definitely recommend popping in the little pasteria about 2 minutes away from the house! Communication was excellent. Definitely recommend this place!

The location was great 20min from downtown La Fortuna. The views from the property were amazing. We spent hours in the pool and enjoyed every minute while there. Daniela and Arlen were great hosts and responded right away if we had any questions.

Very nice place near La Fortuna (15 minutes). The house, grounds and pool were clean and well kept. AC in all bedrooms were working well, we slept comfortably every night. After every outing, we really appreciated the pool. Overall great visit, would go again. Arlen and Daniela were very responsive, checking and checkout was easy and seamless.

Great place! Hosts are very responsive and even came to bring us fresh fruit! It would have been appreciated to have a gas bbq allowing us to use it. Otherwise the pool was really exceptional!

Very quiet, spacious, clean place, good parking, nice and clean pool. Immediate attention. The place is about 20 minutes from La Fortuna, on well-paved streets (ignore Google Maps).

Amazing stay! Daniela & Arlen were awesome! The place was exactly as described in the ad and in other reviews. Highlights for us were the laundry facilities, pool and outdoor terrace area! Google maps “house fortuna” will take you right to the house.

Perfect place for a family vacation! Clean accommodation. Large living space. The pool is super well equipped; lots of chairs and bathroom nearby. Located about 20 minutes from several activities, restaurants and shops. Arlen was very responsive when the outdoor dining room light burned out; he immediately came to bring us one. Daniela had prepared tamales for us which were excellent. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The welcome from the owners was exceptional, warm and attentive. The place is peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery, which allowed us to observe hummingbirds, frogs and even toucans directly on site – a magical experience! In addition, the proximity to a small convenience store and bakery within walking distance was very convenient. We would highly recommend this place to stay and hope to have the opportunity to return someday!

This was a wonderful house and the hosts are very helpful and responsive. The house was a little challenging to find, which we knew from past reviews. If you’re coming from San Jose, don’t take the first option that Google maps gives. Go for the second or other option instead. We loved the privacy of the location - it made for meditative mornings before the kids are up. The pool was fantastic as well and we loved sitting in the outdoor area for dinner. Very much recommend the place.

Very quiet and wonderful place. I’d recommend anyone staying in la fortuna to book this place. You have the house to yourself and a pool and spacious amount of backyard. Hosts were always responsive to my messages.

Very nice location , house very removed from the road and other dwellings. It absolutely takes a car to get there ( 20 minutes from the center of Fortuna) It was a little complicated to find even with waze and Google map but fortunately there was a photo of the house to let us know that we had arrived in the right place . The pool is super large with a paddling pool for the little ones, the best. The layout of the house is a little surprising but everything is there for our comfort. Hosts are physically present to welcome us, it changes lockboxes. I recommend it.

This house was very clean, comfortable and basic. It sleeps a lot for the size. The huge grounds and outside areas are really lovely- we saw so many birds and wildlife and the kids enjoyed the pool. I felt very safe in this location and the hosts were very responsive. It is a little out of town and I think maybe a map would help with finding it (don’t use google map’s first route from Fortuna but the second one got us there). Thanks!

Friendly and welcoming hosts. Check-in was a breeze. Exactly as shown in pictures. Kids loved the big pool. We weren't able to fully use the outdoor amenities due to non-stop rain but the whole pool area is great. As for the home, rustic but had all the necessary features for our family of 5. Outside TV was nice to watch the CopaAmerica football matches! Hosts were quick to respond to text messages. Brought us some welcome fruit and prepared some coconuts for the kids to drink from. Location is just perfect. 10 minutes from La Fortuna in the middle of a working yucca farm. Privacy and quiet was a plus. Overall, was a great experience.

Fantastic hosts and home! The hosts are very responsive and go out of their way to be helpful. They got me help in pouring rain when my car got stuck and were in close communication when there was a (brief) power outage that affected the whole area. They also let me know about a road closure, gave restaurant recommendations, and even called to check if open before we went. The house is nice, with good air conditioning in the bedrooms, and the outdoor pool area is large and clean. The kids loved it! Very private surrounded by farm. There’s a small local restaurant right down the road and more options about a 10 minute drive away. Main La Fortuna is 15 mins or so. It’s about 30-45 to Arenal depending where you’re going around the volcano.

We had a wonderful stay here! The house was very clean and spacious, located in a private and peaceful part of the property. We were surrounded by nature, and saw toucans and lizards near the house! We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, swimming each morning and night. Our host was lovely, they were very responsive and gave us some great local food recommendations! There is a delicious bakery (Panadería) a couple minutes down the road in a blue building. Anyone passing through La Fortuna looking for a relaxing place must stay here!

The hosts are super friendly, easy to communicate, super responsive and the place is very close driving distance to most attractions in the area. Will definitely return if I ever come back the area.

Had a great time in a beautiful setting. We liked that we were still close enough to town, but far enough to feel like we were somewhere remote. The place was just as described and the hosts were friendly, they even dropped off a delicious bowl of fruit.

Worth every penny and minute spent! Although our flight was significantly delayed, Daniela and Arlen were very accommodating with our very late arrival time. We were greeted at the time of arrival, given a tour of the home and and easy to follow instructions of how to operate appliances. Fresh fruit, coffee and chocolate awaited us, and very much appreciated given the late arrival. The home met all of our expectations and more. Everything was clean, tidy and uncluttered. The swimming area was clean and kept, as well as the grounds. The covered carport with rear entry was a bonus on rainy days. The covered porch was perfect for dining, enjoying the scenery and listening to the rainfall. It was the perfect place to spend my birthday with family. All amenities, local restaurants and activities were within a short driving distance. Daniela and Arlen were marvelous! Easy to communicate, addressed any concerns and gave excellent local dining suggestions. We will be back for sure. Pura Vida!

Very good choice, the house is very nice and comfortable, a great plus the pool. And what we liked the most was the privacy of the place.. just to go with the family, with children and pets. Super recommended!!

We had a fabulous & peaceful stay here. The pool was the perfect temperature and it was so relaxing. One of their dogs even came by which we absolutely loved. Both the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful & gave great recommendations. They even brought us some fresh fruit. We can’t thank them enough for having us in there beautiful space! Would love to come back!

We loved how peaceful and tranquil this place was! Secluded in the rural area amongst the fields, with the private driveway, we had the whole place to ourselves. Surrounded by amazing tropical nature and exotic flowers and birds, we enjoyed relaxing on our terrace or in the pool, making poolside bbq, just chilling in the pool during the day and stargazing at night. Absolutely recommended!

Beautiful, peaceful accommodation off the beaten path. A little tricky to find at first (especially at night), but small inconvenience for the secluded and private location. Pool area is fantastic, your own personal oasis and the home is very comfortable, well appointed and pristine clean. Great option for families with kids of all ages.

Our family of five (2 adults, 3 children) spent 3 wonderful nights. Daniela and Arlen's property was so beautiful and private. The house was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Our favourite part was the private pool all to ourselves, including the sitting areas and bar with lights. Less than 15 minutes to La Fortuna was worth the drive to explore nearby. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. We hope one day we can return!

This small family is so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. It's a beautiful piece of paradise. Located in the heart of the land of the Fortuna region, this villa is a haven of peace. We felt like we were living the life of the locals but in a luxurious way with a huge private pool. We felt alone in the world. Pura vida makes sense.

We liked this house very much! The place is super private, no neighbors around. The property is very large and the house is very comfortable. They allowed us to bring a pet, which was what we were looking for and Daniela was very attentive when we needed help with a few things. The water is from a tank because there are water problems in the area, so if they go, we recommend bringing water to drink. Many thanks to Daniela for everything, we are looking forward to coming back soon soon!

The hosts were fantastic. They sought us out in town when we could not find the house which was extremely helpful when we had a day full of tours to get to. They lived next door and had cows and dogs that we enjoyed petting and feeding. The property was beautiful and secluded and placed with a beautiful view of the Arenal volcano. The area had great food and tours for coffee and chocolate and was close enough to the base of the volcano to drive to some of the more volcano oriented tours. Unbelievably friendly and responsive to any messages or requests. Loved our stay.

Spectacular, beautifully spotless

From the beginning there was excellent communication and willingness, we asked if we could take a kitten and they were very kind to collaborate. There is complete privacy and there is a very safe environment, the pool is an excellent size. We had a problem with the water, but they immediately helped us resolve it. We are very happy to have stayed with them!!!!

The place was as described on the airbnb page. Arlen and Daniela were very attentive to our needs, they welcomed us with fruit and sweets. They were always attentive to us and very kind.

This was a wonderful home with beautiful outdoor space with amazing porch, outdoor bar and pool. Very private though the outdoor cameras were a little awkward. Indoor space was nice though there were a lot of ants in the kitchen area. The clothes washer was a little tricky to work and no dryer. We didn’t see/hear from the hosts at all except for check-in and check-out. They were friendly and easy to communicate with through air bnb messages. They came and met us when our gps didn’t take us to the right location.

A very private location, which is perfect to visit with family or friends. It has very spacious spaces such as bathrooms and rooms. And the swimming pool area is very well equipped. Thank you to the hosts for their great attention.

I’ll start by saying this. We did not get to stay in their house. There was a situation beyond the control of the owners. They are awesome, very proactive and secured another location for us within 20 minutes. The place we moved to did not work for us. It was a great location but just did not work for our family of five. Daniela and Arlan are awesome people and they did all they could to make our trip awesome. Next time I vacation in CR I hope we can stay at their property.

The home was just what we needed for our stay in Arenal. It was close to everything we needed while still offering privacy and beauty of surroundings. The space was perfect for our family and the children really enjoyed the pool! Additionally, Arlen and Daniela were extremely kind, hospitable, and friendly. They met us at the house to give us keys in hand and they made sure we had all we needed. They offered local recommendations and even gave us a little insight into their beautiful community and ecosystem.

Excellent place, we loved everything, starting with privacy and tranquility, since the house is secluded from the main street and the environment is pure nature, also very nice house, clean, perfect space to share as a family. We feel very comfortable with communication, always very attentive to us feeling comfortable and cared for, they even welcomed us with a detail of chocolates and it was very enjoyable. In our particular case, we had a personal mishap prior to the first reservation and we spoke with Daniela and Arlen and they were extremely understanding and were able to chat and agree on a change of date and we all felt very welcome from there. Overall, we only hope to be able to come back again soon and meet other friends and family.

La Fortuna was the last stop in our Costa Rica trip and this house was a great place to spend it. Lots of room for everyone, good sized bathrooms and the outside was great for lounging and hanging out by the pool. Amazing hosts, super friendly and so helpful. We needed something for the kitchen and they brought it super fast and even brought some fresh fruit as a bonus!

Daniela & Arlen's place is the perfect home to stay at while visiting the La Fortuna Area. The house is set in beautiful surroundings with a lovely pool and outside kitchen with BBQ. The house also has a great coved veranda in front, perfect for family meals. We were 7 people and the place was more than big enough for us. Daniela & Arlen are also great hosts and made us feel right at home when they checked us in. It's a great place to stay as well if you like friendly cats, Daniela & Arlens, that come to visit from time to time. Thank you for a lovely stay 😀

The house is wonderful if you go with a large family. We had plans to leave, however we loved the house so much that we decided to make the most of it and stayed as long as we could. It was an excellent choice, very private away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but at the same time only five minutes from the center of town. The pool area is very nice and everything is very functional, as is the house. Also Daniella the hostess was always very attentive to anything my family needed since her house is only a quarter of a mile away. in general i recommend it
