The property is in a great location to all of the activities around La Fortuna. short drive into town, but on a walkable street with restaurants and services. the property itself was amazing! The house itself is compact, but opens to the outdoors and hosted my family of 6 effortlessly. the landscaping was fantastic and the kids enjoyed playing in the river. one day it did get quite rough after a heavy rain, but there are plenty of shallow areas and even a smaller creek to splash around in. On our last night the clouds cleared and we could see a perfect view of the volcano right out the bedroom windows. the kitchen was sparce, but I would still highly recommend this place for a rustic nature atmosphere with A/C in the bedrooms.

Absolutely stunning property. Exactly as expected and more. There are coconuts on the property and we were allowed to partake. The AC in both rooms was phenomenal!

we absolutely loved this spot. I have been coming to La Fortuna for many many years and this is the best place I have stayed yet. the house is small and there is no indoor sitting area as people have shared but that didn't bother me at all. They have a couple chairs to hang out in the kitchen if you don't want to be outside. The covered gazebo is amazing. The river is beautiful. it's back from the road so it's very peaceful and private. We booked to stay there again before our time was even up and we can't wait to go back.

The cabin has a truly magical garden and a walk down to the river revealed a host of colourful birds and interesting plants. We heard the howler monkeys but they didn’t come close enough to see. It was very rainy when we stayed so the outside rondarvel was a god send. Very generous amount of towels comfy beds and adequate cooking utensils, we ate out most of the time in the restaurants within 5 mins walk.

The property was beautiful, sitting out at night we saw lightening bugs, in the morning beautiful birds and river. The location was great! Not right in the hub bub of the busy area, only five minutes drive into town. Things to keep in mind so you are prepared There is no indoor sitting area, only outdoor table and chairs, so bring mosquito repellent!! Nothing the host has control over lol. There is no oven for cooking but you have microwave, a small cook top and a coffee pot, so you are golden as long as you are prepared. Loved the hot water for the shower! Valeria was an excellent communicator and very clear with instructions. Enjoy your oasis in Arenal area!

Wow! Can’t say enough how much we enjoyed this property! Everywhere you look, there’s something beautiful to see. The many different plants, the jungle with wildlife, the river in the back. Just amazing. The house had everything we needed. Only draw back, was a broken bedroom window that owner knew about but didn’t address. We put a piece of cardboard up in place to keep all the wildlife out. Also, we spent a good half hour deep scrubbing the coffee maker. We are a coffee loving family, couldn’t go without a brew. Highly recommend and will return in future.

The place where the cabin is located is beautiful! Private and away from the hustle and bustle. The cabin is nice and has everything you need to be comfortable. Having a car, you can go to many tourist spots from there and it is close to the area where the Church of La Fortuna is located and many restaurants and souvenir shops. I really enjoyed waking up in the mornings, going out and sitting down to listen and see the great variety of beautiful birds that walk around and also listen to the river, which is beautiful! I highly recommend this place! ❤️

We stayed for almost a month and had an amazing stay! Beautiful, safe, and private accommodations with private access to a trail that leads directly to Rio Fortuna! Easily walkable to a handful of restaurants and a mini market w essentials. Just a couple minute drive to the center of La Fortuna.

We loved our stay at this friendly place near the river and in nature. We had a great time with family. It was a very refreshing little paradise for us. The calm and the sounds of nature did us good. Thank you for hosting us and for your great communication.

A magical place, full of peace, nature, place to live with nature, we saw many toucans, frogs, an armadillo, many different types of birds. A lot of green area where my children took advantage of every corner, access to the river the best, several days we don't need to go out as the same place has it all. But in addition to its location is perfect, many things to do in less than 15 minutes away. The host family helped us so much throughout our stay, always so friendly and helpful. We are very lucky to find this place, if life allows us we will return very soon.

We had a great time at Valeria’s place! The cottage was easy to find and instructions to get inside were clear. We enjoyed spending time outside by the creek and on the patio. Keep in mind the cottage doesn’t have AC but the fans provided kept us cool at night (in early March). Definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Arenal area.

Valeria's house was just perfect for our La Fortuna getaway. the location is very peaceful & quiet, yet just a short drive from downtown. we really enjoyed the rancho and cooking on the grill. Highly recommended!

I can’t imagine that there might be any better place around La Fortuna, that nice house is situated in a wonderful green tropical garden close to a refreshing river. Valeria and her family are the most hospitable hosts you can imagine and we can totally recommend that paradise to everyone!
