The gardens, bird feeder and privacy were spectacular.

Wow! This was an incredible base to explore Arenal/La Fortuna. The home itself is spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The interior is a little dated, but everything is well-cared for. There are multiple lovely outdoor spaces to sit out and enjoy the panoramic views of the lake. The real showstopper are the grounds though. Just taking a walk around the property was astounding. There is an incredible diversity of flowers. The sheer variety of birds we saw at the house was greater than a guided tour we took in a different area known for its birds. It was truly memorable and may be one of the loveliest gardens I've ever seen. The location is great. The town of Nuevo Arenal is cute and has a nice variety of services, and La Fortuna (and all of its activities) is just a short drive away. It was a little confusing to find initially, but once we knew where it was, coming and going was convenient. The host was very responsive via text.

This place was absolutely incredible, HIGHLY recommend!!! It was like having your own private, lush, lakefront park all to yourself! Stunning views, gorgeous surroundings, very comfortable home. Very responsive to any issues or questions. Had some issues getting in but they were super helpful and resolved everything quickly and pleasantly. Absolute GEM of a place!!! 10/10 would stay again!!

Villa Corazón is a beautiful property right on Lake Arenal. When you drive through the white entrance gate, you arrive in a tropical paradise garden!!! An endless variety of trees, bushes and flowers grow and bloom and smell here, it's really unique. I have never seen such a beautiful garden anywhere else in Costa Rica! You can watch a variety of colorful birds from the terraces of the house. The sunsets are different in color every evening! The villa is spacious, offers a lot of space, and is tastefully decorated. The view from the windows is reminiscent of a painting by Monet. The place is wonderfully quiet and secluded. Nevertheless, you can get to Arenal with its shops and restaurants in no time. I was here for four weeks and would come back anytime. I can only recommend it and for garden lovers it is a "must" to experience it here.

Wonderful place to stay! A paradise

Our family called this place our "secret garden". This is a plant and bird lovers paradise. Quiet and secluded, with amazing views of Lake Arenal. From the porch sipping our morning coffee we were able to see toucans and hummingbirds. Pure magic! Great location for us to explore all that Fortuna has to offer, while keeping within reasonable driving distance to Liberia Airport when it came to leave. The house was very clean and well equipped with plenty of space for a large family. There is AC in one room. The other rooms can get warm especially in the afternoon but we were usually out until after dark so this was not a problem for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again some day!

Beautiful, super private home with extensive gardens and happy birds to keep you company all day. Lake temperature was perfect for swimming. Downtown and homes in the area show pride in ownership and community. This place is a gem.
