We truly enjoyed our stay! Helena and her team helped make my birthday celebration so special. The house was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our group - we spent most of our time relaxing by the pool (and they even bought new pool towels for us!). We rented a golf cart for easy trips into town, but the walk wasn’t bad at all. The location was quiet, private, and felt very safe being in a gated community. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Helena also recommended an amazing private chef for our last night, which was the perfect way to end the trip. Can’t wait to come back to Costa Rica and stay here again!

The property was great. Nice secluded area with maximum privacy. Clean and well-stocked. Helena was a fantastic host; super responsive and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Tamarindo!

This was such a nice place to relax after walking around town and exploring. The pool was amazing. AC worked great!! The house was spacious. It was easy finding my way there and how to get in. I stayed there with my two daughters and we all had our private room and bathroom. I would just be careful using the bathroom sink right away. I would let it run a little bit before using it. Some brown water came out when I first turned it on. There’s some walkable places but I definitely recommend either renting a car or ubering around !

The place was great! Helena was helpful and informative! We like to be able to walk leisurely to the beaches and this location was great, always interesting people watching on way to and from beach. The centre of the beach area was an easy leisurely walk each way. From here it was an easy walk northish to estero de playa grande river, it was cheap to pay for a water taxi to the other side. This side had a huge beach with way less people and some nice little cafes. Walk the other way to the occidental tamarindo hotel and this beach was again much less busy. But the central tamarindo area had lots of shops, a few small grocers and alot of places to get a coffee and places to eat. The house had a great kitchen and ez to relax after early am at beach and before heading back mid afternoon. Surf lessons were great, massage's at the beach. House was private and ez to relax at and all the amenities we needed and we all slept well! roof top patio had nice view Loved stay, as will you!!

I cannot say enough about our stay at Pippis Villa. Everything was perfect and more than we expected. From the location to the beautiful clean house. It was our first family vacation in a very longtime and the house provided us with a space to hangout comfortably without always feeling the need to go out. Helena was a wonderful host helping me with all the plans I made for excursions etc. If I had a question … she answered immediately. We had the best time and would recommend Pippis Villa to anyone visiting Tamarindo . Thank you Helena for hosting us !

We loved it! The main house and the separate hacienda/guest house is amazing. We felt very safe in this gated community that provides 24/7 security guards. The home and property are beautiful. We enjoyed the pool, outdoor patio and seating area, upper roof deck, and the fire pit area. The house is less than a mile from town and close to all the excursion locations. I do not recommend walking on the roads into Tamarindo, especially at night. There's ample parking near town.

Our group of 6 had a wonderful stay at Casa Pippi! Right from the beginning, Helena was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions, and she was accommodating throughout our entire stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the covered back patio was perfect for sitting by the pool on hot days. We had a family of monkeys who visited the trees outside the house every evening and were very entertaining! The area was very secure and only a short walk to shops and restaurants. Overall we had a great time and would love to return some day.

Lovely home and pool. With tended tropical garden. There is construction around. But that seems to be the case in much of bustling Tamarindo.

Great home just outside the often busy areas of Tamarindo. It’s an easy walk to some great restaurants, and the home is also a wonderful place to go nowhere and simply relax.

We just loved the stay at Pipi’s Villa and Helena is a great host! Great home, great location , easy access to beach and restaurants. Place is very safe with security at night times. Kids enjoyed the pool. As a super touch we were able to eat some fresh plantains from the garden. My family enjoyed the whole experience!

Beautiful house, pool and garden! We had a great week of Family vacation with our adult kids! The area is very calm & quiet. We could walk to the main street which is is about 1 km from the house and also rented a Golf Kart. Helena was very responsive for any question we had.

Perfection! Thank you Helena. This is a stunning home. Design and finishes are beautiful. The gardens, trees and plant varieties surrounding pool and house are lovely. If you are young and fit you may not need a vehicle. I did. But a golf cart will do just fine.

What a wonderful stay at a beautiful spot. We really enjoyed the relaxation of the place. The pool was great and the kitchen well kitted out with everything you need. Uber was a really easy way to get to and fro when it was too hot or dark to walk. Thanks to Helena for a great stay!

This was not the original plan for our Costa Rican vacation however, it turned out to be the one we needed. Helena promptly responded to questions and answered some we didn't know we had. Her home is warm and inviting with a fun decorative flare paying homage to one of my favorite movies growing up. The area was walkable and felt safe, which was important to us traveling with a child. A lot of our days were spent poolside in the sun with the occasional sprinkle of tourist fun. We highly recommend staying at Pippi's Villa if you're in need a relaxing vacation.

Helena's place is beautiful! It has a very large pool, which in our case, as we went as a family, was very fun. The kitchen has everything and more than you're used to expecting from an Airbnb. The place is really safe so you could go out at night to walk in peace. It is relatively close to downtown and the main beaches, so it has a very convenient location for both nationals and foreigners.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa! The location is ideal—close to Tamarindo yet tucked away enough to feel private and peaceful. It was just a short drive to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the ocean during the day and come back to relax in the quiet evenings. The villa itself was clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was provided, and we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Check-in was smooth and easy, and communication with our host was excellent throughout our stay. One of the highlights was how convenient it was for exploring the area—whether heading into Tamarindo for dinner, taking a zipline adventure, or going on a waterfall hike, everything was just a comfortable drive away. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable home base while enjoying Tamarindo and the surrounding area.

Helenas house was perfect! We had my parents in the ADU and my wife, myself, and our two kids in the main house. The setup was perfect. Everyone had autonomy and everything they needed. The house was also such a great layout for a vacation home. A middle shared living area (living / kitchen). With the two bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. Each en suite also had both indoor and outdoor showers. Great amenity! The house had everything we needed for an extended vacation and Helena was great. We got into Tamarindo well before our check in time and reached out to Helena to see if we could drop off our luggage early so we could explore the town without lugging everything around. She said no problem. We did rent a golf cart for the first 3 days of our stay but because it was only about a half a mile to the city center, we decided to forego the cart and just walk everywhere for the rest of the trip.

Our stay at Casa PiPPi was incredible! Helena was so helpful from start to finish, she went over and beyond in helping us book a shuttle, sharing local restaurant and excursion tips, and making sure we had everything we needed. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday with our two teens (17 & 16), and the home was perfect. The separate little villa gave us privacy, while the kids enjoyed their room in the main house. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were super cozy, and the pool was clean, we used it daily! I especially loved mornings with coffee in the garden, watching butterflies float by, pure peace. The location was just the right distance from the center of Tamarindo: close to everything, but still quiet and relaxing. Helena’s place is truly a paradise, and I’m so grateful we made beautiful memories here as a family. I didn’t want to leave, but I’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend booking Casa PiPPi for your next Costa Rica stay!

Helena's place was absolutely incredible! She has thought of everything that you could possibly need during your stay. The neighborhood is very quiet and secure. It is a short walk or drive to all of the shops and restaurants. There is quite a bit of construction with new homes going up around the area, but it didn't impact our stay whatsoever. The backyard is like you are in your own tropical oasis. We had a group of racoons that decided to have a dance party on the roof at 3am the last night of our stay, we couldn't do anything except laugh and snap a few photos! We were traveling from another part of CR and arrived early, Helena was so sweet and allowed us to check in immediately upon arrival since the villa was ready. She was super responsive and accommodating during the booking process and throughout our stay! We had such a a wonderful time, and would highly recommend Helena's place to anyone visiting the Tamarindo area. Pura Vida!

Helena’s place was exactly as described and then some. We felt very safe as her place was located in a gated community and had guards patrolling at night. Her place was extremely clean and had everything you could ask for from kitchen and laundry essentials, to beach gear(towels/chairs). The pool was the perfect size and was helpful on the days we didn’t want to go to the beach. Helena’s place was a 10 min walk to the main strip in Tamarindo. We had a car but in the mornings/day would walk into town and several other tourists in the area did the same. Our entire group loved the place and would highly recommend to anyone.

Pippi's villa was as advertised. Beautifully decorated, great location and Helena was an amazingly responsive host. Very highly recommended.

My family had a wonderful stay here! Check in and out was easy breezy with the helpful instructions. The garden, pool and firepit was definitely the highlight of the property. The location felt secure and private. The house conveniently had beach chairs, cooler and other supplies for outings to the beach. A super short drive to the beach and main street (probably could have walked but with a kid it was simpler to drive). We certainly recommend a stay here on your trip to Tamarindo. Pura Vida!

Helena was such a wonderful host, and allowed us to have an early check-in which was so helpful since we were traveling with kids! The house was spotless clean and situated in a very private lot and had a wonderful outdoor area with a pool and even a butterfly garden. It is maybe a 15 minute walk from downtown Tamarindo. The house was very comfortable and we had a wonderful time, my teenager son enjoyed the bedroom outside!

Casa Pipi was perfect. We stayed for 6 nights & loved it. We were 2 couples and one couple stayed out in the pool house & the other in the main house. Both houses were quickly renamed the Racoon house & the Skunk house based on the nocturnal activity we found on night 2. There was a lovely family of 4 racoons & one very polite skunk on the property. We also saw loads of birds (including a hummingbird whose territory is one of the back yard bushes), bats & howler monkeys. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, Tupperware, bowls, pots & pans so we were able to cook in often. Helena went above & beyond to ensure we were happy. Nice & close to town but quiet & secluded. We felt very safe. 10/10 recommend

If you’re looking for a beautiful place to stay that is convenient to downtown Tamarindo but quietly removed in a private, gated community, PiPPi’s Villa is it! My wife, son, and I spent many afternoons lounging by the backyard pool after a day of beach combing, swimming in the ocean, or souvenir hunting in town, just a short walk away. A favorite feature for us was the “Casita” guest house. Our son retired to it in the evening giving my wife and I privacy in the main Villa. We would also enjoy our morning coffee in the Villa’s beautiful flower garden which was visited each day by a dozen, multicolored dragonflies. Quite a unique experience. Our Host, Helena, was terrific! Very responsive, respectful, and helpful with any questions or concerns we had during our stay. On our next trip to Costa Rica, we will definitely try to spend part of it enjoying PiPPi’s Villa.

What more can I say than wow! The house was in excellent condition. She had even taken the time to leave the air conditioning on for our arrival in 1 of the rooms (it was very hot that day). The pool, the bedrooms, the showers, everything was clean and Helena was very responsive to all our requests. Very good communication on her part and really did everything to make the stay enjoyable stay. Highly recommend The villa is close to the city and the road was very good in a small car. A must.

A beautiful place, spacious, very well-equipped

My experience in Costa Rica was amazing and the airbnb made me feel right at home. It is located in an area with a gate and someone by the gate at all times which added a sense of safety. The place is spacious and clean so there were no issues with that. I think the pictures in the listing don’t do the place enough justice which is always a good thing. My only discomfort was that construction took place very early about 7am during the weekdays. This doesnt take away from my stay or my review overall. The “guest house” is the room that experiences it the most. Just something to note if you are a light sleeper or like to sleep in. Bring ear plugs just in case. When I do return to Costa Rica, because I definitely will be, I would confidently rebook with this host.

My family had a wonderful week-long stay in Tamarindo, thanks largely to the serene oasis of Casa Pippi. We went to the beach and dinner every day, walking or driving easily, and we were always eager to come back and relax by the pool or in the shaded area outside. The house is best-in-class for Airbnb: spacious, clean and has every conceivable amenity. The beds are firm and comfy and were perfectly sized for my adult kids and my wife. My daughter in particular loved staying in the cabana, which is both private and close enough to the main house. The pool and garden were peaceful, and with the gated community made us feel quite secure. The area is quiet, except for the nice bird and other animal noises, so sleeping was easy and restful. There are two hilly routes into town, each taking about 15 min. Or, you could drive down and park easily at the edge of town giving you another 5 min on foot. Finally, I’d like to highlight that Helena was the perfect host, always quick and helpful.

Everything was great. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. It’s modern and beautiful. The rooms are very spacious and cozy. The location is very convenient and close to downtown Tamarindo. The pool is very nice and refreshing, though at night there are quite a few big insects around and some jump into the pool, but it’s understandable since it’s in an area surrounded by nature. It has very pretty lights in the outdoor areas that give it a warm touch. The host’s service was excellent, and she was always attentive to any needs.

The location is great minutes away from the most beautiful places of tamarindo but located in such a peaceful area. If you love to cook the kitchen is more than complete! Equipped even for top chefs. The cleanliness was impeccable , the layout of the house is great for a large group of friends and family. The backyard is worthy of a magazine! The layout makes everyone find their account there

Our stay at the Villa was incredible! It was very spacious for my family & I & we enjoyed the view of the beautiful garden & pool in the backyard 😍 Helena was very helpful with anything we needed & provided so many important items in the home like beach towels & bug sprays! We would love to stay here again when visiting Tamarindo! Also the Villa was very close to all the restaurants & the beach which we loved so much !

Beautiful house, everything about it was amazing. The decor was gorgeous, everything was so well thought out. The little things and amenities made available were better than any hotel. The location is so convenient.

We had a WONDERFUL time at Pippi's place. The A/C worked great. It was well stocked with everything that you need if you want to make your own meals. The Casita was very nice. The pool was wonderful to come back to after being downtown Tamarindo. The washer and drier worked great it was amazing to have each room have its own full bathroom. It was more like a 15-20 min walk from the beach 5-10 min if you're running. Very clean!

Helena’s place was a gem! I don’t know where to start. Her house is located in a quiet gated community that felt very safe. Close enough to walk to town. Needed a stroller for our little ones, but not a problem. Her house has everything you could need. From shampoos/soap to wine openers. Helena is very communicative and very responsive. Answered all my questions and helped me find things I needed in Tamarindo. I can’t say more nice things. We’ve traveled a lot as a family and this has to be the best Airbnb location I have stayed at by far.

We loved this place!! The backyard is beautiful!! It is a huge backyard tastefully landscaped. We spent a great deal of time back there. The only nuisance was the construction next store which chased us inside a couple of times. Small animals visit the back yard on a nightly basis which makes for great entertainment!! We saw howler monkeys one day in the trees outside the property and heard them daily! The kitchen is very well stocked! We cooked every day. Easy walk into town and the beach! Highly recommend this place! Lots of space for 3 couples or a family!

Pippi’s is a beautiful home! It is private and super close to town at the same time! Helena was extremely helpful and easy to work with! This will be my Tamarindo house from here on out!!

This Airbnb is amazing. From walking in you’ll see how modern and relaxing it is. Fully stocked with everything you need (they even had sunscreen there for us) pool and yard are beautiful. Location is just out of the busy area but a short 10-15 walk and you’re right on the strip. Also nice that it is so quiet around the area as it is a new development and some construction is going on around. Overall this villa is well worth the money and it felt so peaceful while we were there.

The house was great and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was one of the best airbnbs I've ever stayed at, it's a truly beautiful home. There is a house being built next door and there is noise 6 days a week for about 10 hours per day. Sometimes the noise was louder than other days but it wasn't terrible. I would love to stay in the house again once all the construction has finished. Thank you Helena for being a great host while we were there.

This was the best part of our vacation in Guanacaste and we wish we had booked this house for a longer time. Stunning house and pool and we ended the night with vine and a bonfire in the fire pit out in the garden. If you going to stay in Tamarindo this is the perfect place within walking distance to the beach and town. We rented a golf car and it was even better to go back and forward with from the beach. Helena is so friendly and helped us with the best recommendations in town, Tabu Beach Club was great. Thanks, Helena, we hope to be back soon!
