Very peaceful area surrounded by farms and beautiful sunsets and views. Very friendly, responsive and helpful hosts who also prepare great meals for guests at additional costs. The owner built the house and carved several features and furniture himself. Lots of amenities in the house. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Note that the part of the drive to their house is on unpaved roads, although you don't need a 4WD to get there. Also, note that there appears to be a fence across the road directly in front of the entrance to their house is- it is actually a series of posts held together by wire that you will need to unfasten and move out of the way to get access to the house.

This spot takes a bit of time to get out to, but very much worth it. Super friendly hosts, clean and charming country house. Morning coffee on the deck was perfect!

Staying with Kattia and Alvaro! Great beautiful cottage at the foot of the Tenorio Volcano. Super idyllic and quiet. Beautiful contrast to the hustle and bustle in Tenorio Park/Rio Celeste. It's about 40 minutes by car to Rio Celeste, but we were very happy to be away. In the evening, just go out, listen to the birds and enjoy the sunset. A lot of things and furniture in the cabin are made by Alvaro himself, which gives the cabin something special. The scorpion chairs outside, the entrance door and much more. Dog, cat and cows have also stopped by. Too bad we had to leave, we felt super comfortable! And Alvaro, thanks again for sharpening the machete, which makes my Costa Rica souvenir even more valuable! I hope to be able to come back again in this lifetime!

My family of five had a delightful experience at this airbnb! I would suggest a 4x4 vehicle to access the property. The area is private, with beautiful scenery and animals everywhere! The birds are always singing! We were greeted by a friendly kitten when we arrived. The cabin is rustic & unique, hand-built by the owner. The home is located in a rural area, and our hosts were willing to provide us with WiFi and even hot water! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the farmlands. Kattia & her husband are great hosts, they were extremely kind & treated us like family. We were learning our Spanish, and they were very patient with us. Kattia’s cooking was absolutely delicious, so don’t forget to request home-cooked meals during your stay! Kattia also offered a private jungle horseback riding tour by a local guide, which was wonderful! If you are looking for a peaceful and plentiful Costa Rican experience… choose Kattia’s cabin under the stars! ✨

Great place! If you like a quiet authentic charmfull place, this is the right spot. You life in the middle of the nature. We felt almost like farmers. It is a more house for people that want a bit of adventure.

We liked it enough for the stay as a family, friendly and nice place

although the apartment is far away, it is a spectacular area on the bases of the Tenorio volcano and the nights are incredible to see stars due to the low light pollution that there is. It is a highly recommended stay to spend some time away from the care and noise, special to spend some very relaxed time

Kattia really spoiled us with amazing hospitality. Their house is located exactly where we wanted to spend our time in Costa Rica. It is in the middle of nature immersed in real Costa Rica. She even provided us with an amazing home cooked dinner with fresh squeezed lemonade. The house is full of hand carved furniture and amazing artistic creations by her husband. we had plenty to do with its close proximity to Tenorio. Highly recommend.

Good location to explore the Tenorio Volcano/Rio Celeste area. It’s in a picturesque peaceful valley with beautiful views and we love the unique handmade touches all around such as the entry door and scorpion chairs on the patio. Kattia and her husband are incredibly welcoming and genuinely warm people. If you have the opportunity, we recommend you ask to have a meal or two prepared for you by them. Their place is a true taste of Costa Rican country living.

It was just a step to cut off a long drive but it became a great experience. The place is peaceful and warm. The welcome is perfect and finely this region of Costa Rica, which is not necessarily on the guides, offers a beautiful experience. Sunset on the heights of Aguascaliente is worth a visit.

Cute and peaceful little house. Car essential, shopping before arriving. The 3 bedrooms allow everyone to have their privacy. The Wi-Fi is not very fast but it's there. A slice of heaven with a magnificent view!

Charming, beautiful, secluded, refreshing place, little Eden immersed in the countryside. Car essential! Beware of the possible confusion: agua caliente is well next to Nuevo Guatemala and not Palmira! (do not go through this village), Atypical and artistic furniture ( created by Kattia's husband!). Simple comfort in direct connection with the surrounding nature. Beautiful manguier in front of the house! squirrels play in the garden... Kattia is very welcoming and discreet at the same time, touching in her concern to please us.

We were very comfortable with Kattia! The communication was always very friendly and fast and we had a great time. The airbnb is well equipped and in a very nice location :)
