Alex was very responsive and helpful in getting things set up for us. Harold the caretaker was very helpful as well. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning in each bedroom was cool and very comfortable. The main area is not air conditioned, which is normal for the area. The house is far enough from Nosara that a golf cart is very useful. Alex set us up with a fishing charter that was one of the best experiences I have had with with my family. The picture on the Airbnb site doesn’t show the dirt road in front of of the house. It is no big deal, in fact it was nice to have for the golf carts we rented. Surfing is best further down the beach towards Nosara. We tied the surf boards to the golf carts to get where we wanted. Alex introduced us to Thomas for the fishing, and Thomas recommended Tato for an in home authentic Costa Rican dinner. Using the fresh tuna we caught on our fishing trip, he made the most delicious Carpaccio we’ve ever had. 10/10.

We were a family of 12 consisting of grandparents, children and grandchildren. It has seven bedrooms and accommodated our group beautifully. Harold, who lives on the property was very helpful. We also had a local chef prepared dinner for us. We were recommended a fishing guide as well as horseback riding.

Alex's place is literally off the beaten path. Because of this you get to experience some amazing sunsets. You also get a mostly private small section of the beach all to yourself. The area makes for nice morning walks along the beach as well. Located in a calmer, quieter more laid back vibe of Costa Rica. My family of 6 were comfortable. Also, Harold, the groundskeeper is awesome. Truly a great help and addition to Alex's place.

The house, the view, Harold, the perfectly chilly and well appointed bedrooms were perfect. We absolutely loved our time here- it felt amazing to be a long walk away from the middle of town and it was a super easy golf cart ride back. Thank you for creating such a magical place. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Stayed with a group of friends and babies under 2. Perfect place for little ones to play on the deck and then enjoy the tidepools and the beach. Great boogie boarding steps from the house. Peaceful location. A little tricky to find but once you are there you won't want to leave. Communication was great and they were responsive when we had requests or questions!

We loved staying on the beach. The sunsets are epic and it is a beautiful part of guiones. We loved the palapa for rest and play time.

Beyond expectations. Harold the groundskeeper was an absolute gem and was so kind to our kids and all the guests . We had 4 kids under 5 with us and 8 adults and we all found the beauty and magic of the place . Tide pools , monkeys , warm water , kind locals , away from the crowds . Absolutely amazing and we will be back !

We read a review before booking that said, “This house is an experience.” After staying here, I understand exactly what that meant. This home gives your family a place to be together in a way that’s hard to put into words. At night we walked down to the tide pools under the moonlight. During the day we bought fish from the fishermen next door. After sunset, the caretaker would start a fire so we could walk back up to a warm glow waiting for us. These are moments you remember forever. With 7 beds and baths, everyone in our family had their own comfortable space, yet we were constantly drawn back together. The kitchen opens to an open-air patio with a table for 14, surrounded by hammocks, chairs, couches, bean bags - every possible place to sit, talk, laugh, and just be. The community of people behind this home are unforgettable. They truly embody and embrace the Pura Vida lifestyle - a blessing for us to have experienced. Something our family will never forget. Thank you!

I absolutely loved my stay at this house! The views were breathtaking, and the sunsets were among the most beautiful I've ever seen. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was a fantastic feature, adding to the comfort of our stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, making meal preparation easy. I also appreciated the accessibility of surfboards, yoga mats, and various chairs, which made lounging at the beach incredibly enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

If you’re looking for a private location with the best access and view of the ocean, this is it. Within a short drive to the coolest restaurants and cafes in Nosara. Within 40 feet of a fishing company who took us out and helped us catch ahi tuna, which we had for dinner. We met the owner who is wonderful and friendly. But our favorite aspect of the trip was meeting the house’s maintenance/housekeeper Harold (HARRO) who is the sweetest most amazing guy always coming by to make sure we had clean towels and took out our trash. Helped us book things, get more drinking water, and help with laundry. We will miss him and this place! It felt like home!

This home was pure magic — right on the sand with sunsets that took our breath away and waves as our soundtrack. The house was spotless, cared for daily by the lovely cleaning staff who kept everything so fresh and welcoming. Coco, our wonderful host, made everything seamless — from arranging tours and airport transfers to answering every question with warmth and speed. Harold, the house staff, always appeared at the perfect moment, whether helping with tide times or finding us a tuk tuk into Nosara for breakfast. Each morning and evening, my daughter and I walked the beach feeling peacefully secluded — swimming, exploring tide pools, watching monkeys, and meeting the sweetest beach dogs. This was my second trip to Costa Rica, but this experience touched my soul in a way no resort ever could. My heart is full, and I can’t recommend this home enough. We’ll definitely be back.

This is one of the only true beach villas in Nosara. Right next door to this villa is a house of nice fishermen. Their boats are colorful and quiet, but as a result there are bones on the sand and a lot of birds there eating. Also directly in front of the house is pure reef so not great for swimming or surfing. You can walk just a little to the north for a clear stretch of beach that is good for swimming. There is an amazing outdoor space. The bedrooms and bathrooms have been nicely updated. The interior common space is not a great place to hang out, and the kitchen was a bit run down, which includes the appliances. There’s a house manager who lives separately in the way back, who was a big help. To get to the main beach and town is about a 20-25 minute walk on the beach, or an 8 minute drive. You have to drive down the beach to get access to the main road. We rented an ATV and this was fun. Get ready to get wet when it rains!
