The treehouse is stunning and quiet. A slice of heaven. It’s the perfect sanctuary to read a book, do yoga, and rest after a long day of activities. Easy to uber in and out.

This property is a few minutes’ drive from Tamarindo. The architecture is beautiful, with many glass walls, nice furnishings, and comfy beds. You are surrounded on all sides by treetops, which is peaceful . They have grown since the listing pictures and there is no longer a valley view. The biggest thing to know is that the home is designed so that the entire middle area of the home is outside, including the bathrooms and single shower. You are in the jungle, so this means encountering flying beetles, mosquitos, spiders, and geckos, especially using the bathroom after dark. It gave the experience a luxury camping feel. This design also affects the feeling of security. You go in through a locked gate, up stairs, and you are in the middle of the house. There is no true ‘front door’. The kitchen and each bedroom have separate locks. It felt less secure than a traditional house. It wasn’t the right fit. After initially refusing, the owner processed a partial refund. I appreciated that

Definitely better in theory.. we were disappointed by how many bugs insects and other critters we had to deal with we couldn’t use any of the lights in the house or in the bathrooms without getting swarmed at night. They were able to crawl in through the doors and get into the bedrooms. Large spiders. Hard to get to the pool wasn’t clean. We wished we had stayed somewhere else.

The photos didn't do it justice. We were extremely impressed with everything about the property and Gladys was super responsive anytime we needed her. I could not recommend it more highly!

We had a great stay at Gladys’ place and would definitely come back. Waking up to the sounds of the birds and wildlife each morning was one of our favorite parts. The property is a bit tucked away, but after the first drive it was easy to find. It’s also conveniently close to plenty of great restaurants. We highly recommend staying here!

Our stay was amazing!! The place is absolutely gorgeous, really close to the town of Tamarindo. Super tidy, exclusive, and beautiful views!!

The place was very close to nature, very nicely decorated, and we got to see many large and small animals here. There were four of us, and we had a 4x4 vehicle, which (as stated in the accommodation description) is a great advantage for getting there.

Great location close to town, but private and gives you the feel that you're in nature. The architecture of the house and bedrooms was stunning. Waking up to a glass wall overlooking the rainforest was incredible. Howler monkeys in the AM were a hoot..! A+ stay and all very nice and clean. Thank You!

We had a wonderful stay for two nights. We loved the proximity to town but the best part was coming home to the peaceful and beautiful treehouse. Great design on the treehouse with lots of space and being immersed in nature. German was great and very helpful and Gladys was super responsive. She had made suggestions for places to eat which we tried a few and they were amazing.

Already dreaming about the next time I can come back to this slice of heaven. We felt fully immersed in this treehouse. Not for you if you don’t enjoy living amongst lizards, monkeys, bugs, birds, etc. Easy to get into town for groceries. We didn’t rent a car and Ubers were easy to come by despite the rocky road. All the essentials were there. The design was tasteful. The pool was the perfect temperature. Keep in mind the trees are less lush this time of year so don’t expect as much green as the photos. Overall an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy the simple things. Gladys was an excellent host and gave great recs for masseuses, surf lessons, restaurants, and beaches. My only regret is not staying longer.

The monkeys came to visit us the day we arrived and the day we left. Peaceful surroundings and a great secluded place in the jungle
