Gil & Bernie

Beautiful house that fit my family of 4 very well. Kitchen was well equipped for us to cook breakfast and owners had left some snacks and drinks which were appreciated! excellent recommendations for restaurants, etc. The walk to the beach was slightly farther than we expected but was manageable. We saw howler monkeys on the property which was really neat! Our only issues were the tiny ants in the bathroom and smaller bedroom and the slanted counter/sink in the bathroom. Air conditioning worked well, property was beautiful, and overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Gil & Bernie's place was perfect for our family of 4. Great location, close to lots of restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores, yet quiet and private. You can see the pool from the condo, which was great when our kids wanted to play in the pool. Close enough to walk to the beach, about a 10 min walk. A few markets around to buy local produce, fish breads, cheeses, hot sauces, crafts and more! Gil and Bernie were wonderful, very responsive, their townhome was one of the best places we stayed at in Tamarindo, thank you for a great stay:)

We had a wonderful stay at Bernie & Gil's!! Mornings spent by the pool and afternoons at the beach and lots of relaxing in between!! Bernie and Gil were very supportive and prompt in helping us with things like laundry and organising our transportation. We felt so at ease during our stay knowing they were there to help us out with anything and everything. The space is beautiful and all of the pool and beach toys were very much appreciated by our children. Their place was spotlessly cleaned and the midweek clean we received was very much appreciated. One of the best AirBnB experiences we have had!! Thank you so much :)

We had an excellent stay at this Airbnb—everything was great from start to finish. What really stood out was how much thought went into the details to make beach time and relaxing both easy and enjoyable with the supplies and amenities to enjoy at the beach or pool. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with a wonderful host experience.

Great Air B&B! Pictures are very accurate. Perfect for a family with kids. Entry instructions were very clear. Host let us check out late and were very accommodating. Great spot!

4 very pleasant nights in Tamarindo. It was during Semana Santa, and we really enjoyed the tranquility of Pueblo del Mar. Very good location, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The place is beautiful and has everything you need and even more! The hosts were very nice and gave us great recommendations for our family of 4 with young children. Thank you, Gil & Bernie!

We stayed at Bernie and Gil’s for six weeks. It was an absolutely great home-base, right in, but not right in, the thick of Tamarindo restaurants, bars with live music and coffee shops. Bernie and Gil were excellent in all respects, including communication timing (exceptionally fast) and were great people to deal with. The complex is an oasis with a lovely pool in the middle. Two groceries stores very close. Just a really great place to stay in a vibrant beach town.

One of my favourite AirBnB stays ever! Brought my family (4) to Tamarindo for a vacation and our favourite part was where we stayed! Gil and Bernie provided amazing recommendations before we arrived, answering questions about things to do and where to eat, as well as offering suggestions of current events while we were there. The location was perfect. Close enough to walk EVERYWHERE we wanted to go, but tucked away in a gorgeous property where it was quiet, private, and serene. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Gil & Bernie's place is an oasis of shade and tranquility amongst the heat, dust and bustle of Tamarindo. Communication was great, the condo grounds were beautiful and well-managed and the mostly-shaded pool was a welcome respite in the mid-day sun. Thanks again!

This place was amazing. If you want to be in Tamarindo but feel like you’re in your own paradise this is the place for you. Their place is extremely walkable but the surroundings in the community make you feel like you are in your own private spot. Gil and Bernie were incredible hosts and we had the added bonus of seeing so many monkeys while swimming in the pool which is outside their door. We would highly recommend this Airbnb.
