The property is beautiful, steps away to the beach and town! You can pretty much walk everywhere. I will definitely be staying here again!!!
We loved our time here! Close to the beach, beautiful home, great communicative hosts who helped with organizing surfing and shuttle. What a great place. We already want to go back!
Casa Lola is a really wonderful home. Amazing location. So easy to walk to the beautiful beach of Nosara. Laird and Maria are incredible hosts. So helpful and have fantastic recommendations. The restaurants are all within walking distance of Casa Lola with incredible food. We will definitely be back!
This is an amazing find in Nosara. We came as two couples and the space exceeded expectations. Ample room, well thought out space, stunning outdoor pool and private space. The location is moments walk to the beach, within walking distance of all you could desire from shops / restaurants / bars / activities. Host had great recommendations and excellent local knowledge. It looks even better in person which is so rare in an airbnb. Don’t hesitate to book this place you will not be disappointed!
Always fantastic. We stayed here a couple years earlier. So nice to be able to quickly walk to the beach and town. Great to play with the kids in the pool.
Very responsive. Location was hard to beat. A/C worked in all the rooms. We had a golf cart but only needed it when we went to Guilded Iguana side (G Section) a few times. There's always some construction going on in this beach town (for example dirt roads are improving), but I did not hear any loud construction that disrupted sleep. I would stay here again if we brought the same # of people again.
First the positives. The house itself is nice, tastefully designed, and suitable for a family of four. It has two larger bedrooms, a loft, and then a smaller kitchen and living area. The house is walkable to restaurants, shops, and markets in Playa Guiones/Nosara. Many folks we spoke with had to drive up and down the mountain to get to the beach. The house also has a small plunge pool in the center of the courtyard,.The concierge and communication from the owner and concierge were great. The welcome note was informative and we referred to it frequently during our stay. The owner was also incredibly responsive. The negative aspects were major construction next door and some punch list items in the house that caused some inconvenience. While there was a note on the listing about construction, the description was not accurate and there is a high brick wall and loud machinery and drilling all. Dryer did not work and there were other issues that required handyman visits.
Host Response
Thank you for sharing the house was nice and our team was responsive. We try hard to provide a good experience for our guests. Unfortunately, as we stated in the house description, the new building project next door is out of our hands, but I understand if it had more of an impact than you expected. We lowered the price for this inconvenience, but I never shared that the booking price had been reduced (my fault). We try to make every effort to be transparent and fair with our guests when things like this happen. The builders say they will be done by early 2025, so hopefully you can come back after they are done.
Great place to stay. Easy walk to the beach, with some of the best surf in the world. Our family was beginner surfers and boogie boarders. For us the waves were perfect some of the days, but slightly too big & choppy others. For intermediate surfers, the conditions would be near ideal. The roads are dirt and pretty rough in places. I'm glad we had an SUV, but were ok with it being 2 wheel drive. The host warned us to take the inland highway to get to Guiones from Tamarindo rather than the costal road, as that road gets washed out in the rainy season. So if you don't have a 4WD, be sure to go through Nicoya if you're coming from the north, not through Venado. The main thing we disliked about the house was that you had to go outside to get from the master to the rest of the house. For us, our kids were old enough that it wasn't a big deal, but if we'd had youngers it would have been a problem.
Awesome place, and an amazing location! It’s hard to find a place in Nosara closer to the beach, and it’s close to restaurants, yoga, etc. Laird was an excellent host and Sabrina was super helpful lining up surf lessons. Would highly recommend!
This place was perfect for our family. We wanted to be close to surf and this was as good as it gets. It is in an amazing location. The house is so comfortable and our host was really helpful with restaurant suggestions and any questions we had. If we come back, we would stay here again!
Brilliant stay in a wonderful location - Laird and Sabrina were totally rock stars ⭐️ 5 Star all the way!!!
Everything about this place is spot on. The location is so close to beach, and the private pool was nice for hot afternoons. But the personal service and concierge services were what made this place a winner and future home we will return to again. Laird and his team were fantastic.
Laird (our host) and Sabrina (concierge agent) were great to communicate with and made sure we got into the place even though our group had some internet connectivity issues in advance of our arrival. They gave great recommendations for surfing, fishing, and local places to eat and explore. The house was so nice we ended up hanging out by the pool and cooking at home more than we expected. It was also a short walk to several restaurants and the beach. Better than expected and truly couldn't have asked for more to experience Playa Guiones/Nosara.
Great spot and Laird was a fantastic host. House was perfect with outdoor, area pool and all around excellent amenities. We would definitely stay again. Super close walk to the beach. House even came with a boogie board and soft top.
