2BR Villa in Puerto Jiménez

Sharon

Excellent, 1 week ago

Great private location, just far enough from town to feel peaceful and secluded. The house is spacious, calm, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The service was excellent the staff was very kind, polite, and quick to respond. The house was clean and comfortable, with plenty of privacy. A great place if you’re looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy nature.

Nice enough place but fairly basic amenities. Good spot for a home base if you plan to be out exploring a lot. Toilets are horrible and “gurgle” out smelly gasses randomly. Patio furniture is all old, ripped and needs replacing. Pool is clean and refreshing.

Host Response

Hello Alisha, Thank you for your words, which we value a lot and help us to find the solutions. It is a shame that you did not mentioned them while you were here.

If you're looking for an unforgettable Costa Rican nature experience, this place is for you. Immersed in the rainforest, we saw toucans, scarlett macaws, both capuchin and squirrel monkeys, and lots of other wildlife. The private pool is such a luxury, but the main infinity pool and hot tub provide stunning views from the top of a picturesque hill. Breakfast is also served here, very tasty, and we were seated on a lovely patio overlooking the Golfo Dulce. Would definitely stay with Richie again, as he and his staff were friendly and attentive to anything we needed.

While rinsing off from the pool using the outdoor shower, I watched howler monkeys in the trees! A short walk from the Villa is one of the most beautiful ranchos in Costa Rica. Swimming while overlooking the Gulf, jungle with macaws and toucans, and the mountains on the other side is amazing. Loved the walk to the rancho because we saw lots of animals, but you can drive too. Good place to stay if you have your own vehicle and bring all your food, as facilities aren’t close. We drove to Matapalo and Puerto Jimenez, and there’s a hiking trail on property. It was very hot in the bedrooms at the beginning of the night, even with all of the fans going. There just wasn’t any air flow. Not sure if it’s always that way. Wished there was a plastic or metal chair to use after using the pool at the villa as I didn’t want to sit on cushions with wet bathing suit. And iguanas liked to sit on the swinging chairs lol! Richie and family were very nice and communicative and space was big and private.
