A quiet apartment with a relaxed atmosphere. A green jungle on the balcony, plenty of nature and animals, perfect privacy, and perfect hosts. Close to restaurants, a bakery and an amazing beach within walking distance. Thank you!!

My family fell in love with Mari and Doug’s compound and with their style of hosting. It was extremely comfortable, stunning views, very connected to the natural surroundings and animals. The pool was our hub. Beyond our expectations on all levels. We’ll be returning!

Great stay at Mari's place! amazing private setting, quiet location above Playa Pelada. easy to walk down to many great restaurants and the beach via the little connection shortcut trail that Mari pointed out. she is an awesome host, super kind, friendly, responsive, and accommodating. Mari really went out of her way to make sure everything ran smoothly, even for a last-minute booking. I would stay here again if ever in the area.

Nice spot wish we had more days there. Was easy to check in after hours and nice communication leading up to the stay even tho it was súper last minute .

Mari was extremely responsive and they are such a friendly and welcoming family. Beautiful pool with great sunlight. Nice workout area and easily walkable to the beach and multiple restaurants/convenience stores. Apartment was clean and as described online. Stayed 2 weeks and loved every day there. Highly recommended

My son and I went for a surf/yoga trip to Costa Rica and selected Mari's place to stay in Playa Pelada. I had never been to Costa Rica and so was a little unsure of where to stay. Her place was nicely situated above the little town of Playa Pelada (a 6-minute walk) and 10 minutes to the beach. We also used the trail system to walk to Guiones each day for surfing and yoga. What we enjoyed about Mari's place was it was very safe and we liked that the owners were nearby and always so helpful. They responded quickly to any questions we had and helped us with questions or transportation requests. The place was clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the decks in the morning and late afternoon and the dipping pool which we shared with other folks on property. It allowed us to meet other travelers and enjoy cooling off in the hot afternoon. I would stay here again in the future and recommend to those who want to be a little removed from town, but close enough to walk everywhere.

Very nice apartment well located up high in Pelada but with a quick two minute walk down to the main street where there’s lots of restaurants, we particularly enjoyed Sunrise Café as well as taco Tuesday at Al Chivo’s!! The apartment had everything you need to enjoy your stay from a comfortable couch to a nice air-conditioned bedroom to the kitchen and all the cooking utensils needed if you wanted to save money and make a couple meals yourself. Plus, Mari and Douglas were very nice, helpful, responsive accommodating if anything was needed. Highly recommend!!

This was an amazing place to stay in Nosara - just a quick walk to the beach! And the outdoor pool was a really nice addition, gave us a way to cool down during the hot days. Mari was very helpful and super responsive.
