We had a lovely week stay at Toucan River Paradise. The yard, patio, outdoor space is spectacular as many others have described. We were only inside to sleep all week! Very relaxing when home from excursions. The area felt safe. 4 minute walk to a really good little outdoor pizzeria (Pizzeria de la Sari) and a small market that had anything we needed. We did not have a rental car and never had trouble getting an Uber to anywhere we wanted go in the La Fortuna/Arenal area. The host was also very helpful and responsive to questions. I highly recommend this little gem of a house and location!

Great stay!

The place is beautiful, and access to the river is an extra that gives it a feeling of total naturalness. The gardens are wonderful and well maintained. Comfortable and quiet.

This place had amazing location with stunning courtyard on the river. Suren was very responsive and supportive during the trip. It is a great location near lafortuna and easy to get to all of the amazing adventures nearby. I felt the value was amazing too!

Our family (two adults, three teenagers) loved our stay at Toucan River. The house is super cute, clean, and well-equipped. The lush garden with the small outdoor lounge is absolutely charming, and what can I say about the direct access to the river from the garden? Wow! A really nice location, within a reasonable driving distance of all activities near La Fortuna. We highly recommend it!

It really is a paradise. The house is exactly as described and shown in the photos, and it's even more beautiful when you enter. It's all lined with wood, feels very cozy, and everything works perfectly. It has an area in the courtyard with hammocks, tables and chairs that is perfect for breakfast outdoors, or for going out at night to listen to the river. It's wonderful. The vegetation has cocoa trees, and at the end of the courtyard you can go down some stairs and reach the river, which is very nice. It is also very safe since it has locks and latches that make you feel protected at all times. Close to all tourist attractions. Totally recommended

A small group of us stayed at this location. Everything was as described. It was a great quiet location with easy access to the things we wanted to do in the area. Unfortunately the tropical storm prevented us from enjoying the river, but it had clear instructions and access was pretty easy to understand. Families can rest assured that everything was locked or fenced well enough for young kids. Bathroom is outside, but it seems to be pretty normal here. Beds were comfy with plenty of extra blankets and towels. Having a washer/dryer was nice. We ended up using the drying rack and were able to have clothes dry overnight easily with fan on it. Highly recommend location. Host was also very responsive.

The waterfall and the backyard was refreshingly different and a treat in itself.

What a wonderful place!! We loved our stay! The place is quiet and clean, the outdoor veranda is so nice, and the hosts were great.

Unbelievable setting. There is the most beautiful river running through the backyard. Perfect for our needs.

This location was more beautiful in person than in the photos!! For a group of four, this was the perfect location to stay. The home was well stocked with kitchen necessities and linens, and the water pressure in the shower was AMAZING!! The home also felt very safe. My husband and I walked to the local shop at night with no issues. I would definitely stay here again.
