We spent a week at Sarah's amazing glass house in the hills. While transparent, it is intensely private with spectacular valley and ocean views. The highlight is the double infinity-edge pool, which offers the best vantage point on the property. Surrounded by nature, you’ll hear the steady hum of wildlife and the distant roar of the ocean. The night skies are equally impressive; you can star-gaze from the principal bedroom or even from some of the outdoor showers. The house is well-stocked, making it easy to cook and clean. Bathrooms include plenty of towels. The local host, Stevie, was very responsive and personally greeted us for the check-in. Good to know: Road/Vehicle: The road is steep and bumpy. As tourists, a 4x4 with extra clearance made us feel much safer. The House: AC is best in bedrooms. The kitchen/living area gets warm, especially when cooking. You can open the glass doors on three sides to fully merge the space with the outdoors.
Beautiful glass house overlooking the jungle and ocean. Loved spending time out at the pool watching the colorful birds and listening the Howler monkeys. Steven was an amazing host in every way! He was responsive to our questions and needs. Thanks Steven.
We had a fantastic stay at this property. The house is truly unique, with beautiful architecture, a great layout, and complete privacy. You really feel immersed in nature — it’s set right in the middle of the jungle with no neighbors around, which makes it very special. Waking up to the sounds of birds and seeing animals around the property was an incredible experience. The views are stunning, the pool is great, and the overall design of the house makes it both comfortable and memorable. That said, it’s important to understand what you’re booking: this is a true jungle experience. There’s nothing nearby, which is part of the charm, but it means you need to be comfortable being remote. Access requires a 4x4 vehicle, especially from the main road, and driving back at night in complete darkness is something to be prepared for. If you enjoy nature, privacy, and a bit of adventure, this place is perfect. We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back.
Sarah was a very generous and attentive host. She was helped by Stevie who was quick to respond to any questions and was also able to help us with his local knowledge of the area. The wildlife sanctuary is stunning and ours was a very memorable stay. Thank you!
Blue Sound Villa is paradise on earth! We had the most wonderful time. It was luxurious yet still rustic as we were surrounded by nature. The pool was a huge highlight and we spend many afternoons and evenings in the water. We cannot wait to return!
We had a truly wonderful stay! The house is architectural perfection, the glass walls make you feel completely immersed in nature while still enjoying total comfort. It is incredibly peaceful, the bedrooms are lovely, and we absolutely loved the bathrooms with the indoor/outdoor shower experience. The views are simply unbeatable! My personal favorite way to end the day was sitting by the pool and watching the sunset. If you’re looking for a serene getaway with stunning vistas, this is the place. We didn't want to leave!
Beautiful location and views, very peaceful and private. Stevie is attentive and clearly cares about guests’ comfort and happiness. A lovely place!
Host Response
Thank you !!!
Quite an incredible stay! You truly feel like you’re alone with the jungle. There is no one around you at all and you just hear all the animals. The house was beautiful beyond words and very clean and well maintained. The entire house is glass which is amazing! (You’ll see some bugs too - they recommend dimming the lights or they will definitely come in the house). Outside there was such a peaceful, quiet and private atmosphere with a such a beautiful view. A great pool as well! Steven was so kind and helpful, and very responsive. He also quickly got us some awesome surfing lessons and zip line tours! The drive is a little rocky for sure but you get used to it. It’s definitely worth it. Overall beautiful stay.
Staying here was an absolute dream. If you're looking to truly disconnect and soak in the raw beauty of Costa Rica, this is the place. Remote enough to feel like your own private slice of paradise, yet still close to small local spots that give you a real taste of pura vida living. The beaches were some of the most stunning we’ve ever seen—quiet, unspoiled, Playa Palada probably being the most fun for our young kids. The home itself was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Kids loved the pool! We’ll never forget falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the jungle and having the koatis and bird come to the pool for a quick sip. If you're craving nature, tranquility, and an off-the-beaten-path adventure, this place is it. Already dreaming of coming back!
We felt right at home, the home is absolutely stunning with beautiful ocean views and of the valley below filled with monkeys and birds! You could hear the howler monkeys which was an experience we’ve never heard before so that was amazing!!! This place is most defiantly somewhere to relax while visiting Costa Rica!! We will most defiantly be back!
Great communications, beautiful home and another great time in Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Great place and breathtaking views of the jungle and ocean and Steven was super accommodating for an early check-in!
A perfect place if you’re looking for solitude and communion with nature but with modern amenities. It really is the best of both worlds at this place!
Nice peaceful private location with good hill walks and 10 min or longer drives to local beaches. Very nice pool and comfortable setting with views to ocean. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Would return for another time.
This was our second time staying here, and we’ve already planned our third, so that tells you how much we love this place. It’s beautiful, peaceful, surrounded by nature. The valley and surrounding hills are lovely and you can often hear the ocean. The road to the house is well maintained, house is easy to find, and Steven is always responsive and so helpful. There were a few electrical outages but the utility company restored power fairly quickly and that’s just part of being in Costa Rica. It’s not much of a drive to Nosara for lots of restaurant choices and the few in San Juanillo and Ostional are mostly very good also. We did a boat snorkeling trip which was great. The pool is fantastic and most homes don’t have one this large. There are plenty of gorgeous beaches within comfortable driving distance. In short, it’s a lovely home in a beautiful setting and we’re sure that if you want beauty and nature that you’ll love staying here!
