If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, we would do it without hesitation. After staying in several accommodations in the area, this one is by far our favorite. It has everything: an exceptional setting in the heart of nature, a beautiful home, perfectly maintained, very well equipped and tastefully decorated. We immediately feel good there. The real strong point remains the experience. Waking up in the heart of the jungle, watching the animals from the terrace and enjoying the calm is simply magical. The location is ideal for discovering the region while staying away from the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for the best place to stay in the area, look no further. It's a property that we would recommend without hesitation and where we'll be happy to go back.

Thank you very much, Agatha. The house was even more beautiful in reality. A house built with respect for nature, a house where you feel extremely zen… in a quiet but very lively place. The morning coffee (and mangoes!) while watching the toucans, parrots, and others... waking up to the sound of monkeys... pure happiness. By approaching it with an open mind, living according to the sun and among the wildlife, we loved our stay.

This was our first time visiting the Puerto Viejo area and it didn’t disappoint. The home is an open-air concept (no AC) with an entirely open-air kitchen and living area. The bedrooms are located in a lockable space that has many screened, modern windows and retractable doors for natural airflow. The master shower is huge, doorless and adds to the open-feel of the home. We woke to a family of howler monkeys right outside the kitchen entrance and every night we fell asleep to the sounds of the jungle. This property is a nature-lovers-paradise. Side note - If you aren’t okay with bugs…this isn’t your place. It’s open to (all) the natural elements…however, we quickly found that by simply working ‘with’ the nature - everything coexisted just fine. Up with the sun - down with the sun. No lights after dark (backlighting and intentional lighting only). The home is very convenient, quick drive (with 4x4) to Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo. Agatha, the host, was so kind and answered immediately.

An absolutely magical and unforgettable stay at Blue Hill Estate! The house is simply extraordinary, fully open to the outside, spacious and tastefully decorated. The surrounding environment is simply exceptional: we were blown away by the 360-degree panoramic view combining the lush jungle and the ocean. It was a daily pleasure to relax in the beautiful infinity pool while listening to the sounds of nature and observing the animals (howler monkeys, parrots, toucans, etc.) directly from the property. The location on the heights offers absolute calm and very pleasant coolness, while remaining close to the center of Puerto Viejo. A huge thank you to Agatha for her incredible kindness, her smooth communication, and her very warm welcome. Everything was perfect and perfectly equipped; nothing was missing. We recommend this paradise 100% and hope to return very soon! Pura Vida!

If you have the opportunity to stay at Agatha's home, do it! Words cannot describe how truly magical this place was. Agatha and Erika ensured we were well taken care of and went out of their way to make us feel special and right at home. Leaving this place with tears in my eyes, new friends and so many incredible memories!

I’m not sure I can put in words how perfect Agatha’s home was… the aesthetic was just perfect! Thoughtful design and artistic pieces that had such a wonderful minimalist flow! I walked in and literally said I could live here, never leave. The location was so diverse and picturesque while being nestled in and capturing the soul of the caribe vibe in puerto viejo area♥️ The house was calm, flowing and tranquil. So easy to relax and cook there; easy to get to beaches an see the town and culture. Monkeys in the trees, beautiful birds and so much more lush beauty right in the backyard. We will be retiring to this haven of light and love!

It felt like a real privilege to visit Agatha's beautiful house. We have never lived so beautifully, cleanly and perfectly equipped. We would absolutely recommend a stay there to anyone, it is a special experience. Even the shampoo smells so good that you never want to leave again…

Agatha's very private hilltop house was fabulous. It has amazing jungle/ocean views. The open air kitchen and living area is the best. The bedrooms are all suites and the master opens up to Costa Rica's great outdoors. Well planed and extremely clean. This is a one of kind gem.

Beautiful home; definitely one of the nicest homes in the area. Very clean and well decorated. Incredible views! Agatha was very easy to get a hold of with any questions we had Road leading up to house is doable only with a 4 wheel drive- I would definitely recommend arriving before it gets dark on your first night!

This home is absolutely stunning. It’s tucked right into the jungle and is fully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The open design without walls is fantastic. You literally see and hear the jungle all around you. Waking up to the peaceful sounds of birds and wildlife was amazing. We even spotted a large iguana lounging in a nearby tree. Overall, the home is an incredible blend of luxury and nature.

We loved staying at the Blue guest house. It had incredible views, the house is spacious, comfortable and modern. Our bed was super comfortable and we slept very well. We loved the nature surroundings and to see the toucans and iguanas in the trees. I would definitely recommend this house to my friends and family.

The location is secluded and beautiful. Agatha is an amazing host - she helped me resolve an issue with my vehicle and was always responsive and helpful throughout the stay. The view is breathtaking and there is tons to do in Puerto Viejo and the surroundings. Saw abundant wildlife - including numerous howler monkeys - on site. Incredible experience, thank you!
