The accommodation is very nice. There is a pool in the backyard and a view of the sea. We walked to Punta Norte (about 15-20 min) and to Chedraui (10 min). Highly recommended.

We had reservations for 6 night. We only stayed 2 and had to find a new location for the remaining 4 night. Uninhabitable. Nasty would never recommend that place. Two words. S- hole. Don’t go. Very unhappy. It’s a very nasty place. The apartment needs major work!!!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE. As a 12-year Airbnb user, I rarely write negative reviews, but this was my worst experience ever. The listing falsely claimed there were two beds; we arrived at midnight to find only one. Even worse, the unit was infested with roaches (including on the bed) throughout and ants. The closet had old, dirty laundry & reeked of must. I immediately messaged the hosts, but only received automated replies for 36 hours. When they finally responded, they were dismissive & denied the issues. They even accused me of booking an AI listing. When I sent pictures as proof of the 2beds listing, they quickly updated their listing to show 1 bed & still refused to refund me. They ignored the insect infestation, claiming it was just the ‘tropical climate.’ I had to involve Airbnb Support to get a partial refund. Do not be misled by the location—the roaches & the host's dishonest business practices make this stay unsafe & unprofessional. They are not super hosts.

The place was perfect for my gf and I for the 3 days we stayed on the island. Daniel was proactive on communicating with me. He also set up transportation from the airport to the ferry and from the ferry to Playa Del Carmen by his brother Mitch was a pleasure to get to know. Definitely will be back in the future.

The good: the view is spectacular. If it's just to see the sea, the place is very good. The bad: you can't go into the ocean at the place. There's a barrier with a lot of sargassum and stones that prevent you from entering. To go into the ocean, you have to take a taxi and travel 2.5 kilometers to find Playa Norte, which has a spectacular ocean. The post mentions things like body soap, and when you ask for them, first they tell you that they don't offer them, and when you send them photos of their post, they apologize and say that they will correct the post. They were slow to respond, but they sent me the soaps. The internet is slow and it drops very often. It lacks maintenance. To open the main door, you have to use your shoulder or open it with force because it is very deteriorated. The interior is very simple, with a closet, construction pipes for the curtains, etc. Downtown is 2.5 kilometers away by taxi, with a restaurant area, bars and spectacular beaches.

Very nice place that has all amenities specified and looks as is. The pool and beach area are very peaceful and you arguably have the best access and viewpoint. One thing to note is that the private beach has rocks so bring swim shoes if you plan to get in. We enjoyed our time here as it felt like staying at one of the hotels minus all the noise.

I've been on Airbnb for more than 10 years. My wife and I have never had such an unpleasant and bitter stay. With very poor communication, a dirty space and an infestation of cockroaches, I had to turn to the Airbnb team, who helped us solve the problem. The resolution was to modify the reservation and leave us without a room for the last night, with a penalty to the host for the bad experience. However, what is unacceptable is the bad and bitter experience you are left with when traveling from so far away to get to a place like this. We had to immediately look for an urgent place to stay at midnight (because Airbnb notified us that we had to leave the accommodation at that time), since it was unacceptable to be seeing cockroaches all over the place. The location is ideal for resting and spending pleasant days; however, it requires a lot of attention and improvements from the owners or hosts. I am very sorry to say something like this, but I repeat that it is not fair to travel and go through this.

We always get a RBNB in north Crowded streets and restaurants.. this time we decided to go by the ocean side .. and we weren’t disappointed.. it was a great stay .. peaceful clean nice view with cozy pool for a morning swim.. near Chedraui Market and local vendors with organic staff like fresh eggs and fruits .. great Host .. thank you Daniel for the warm home .. 😊

Daniel and Maya are very gracious and helpful hosts. I made a mistake with my booking and they went above and beyond to help us find a solution. The location is hard to beat, seaside apartments at a reasonable price are hard to come by.
