Maryfe

This was one of the best places we stayed at during our 3 weeks in Costa Rica. Only a few minutes from the downtown Quepos. Spacious, quiet, a great terrace with a terriic sea/marina view. The kitchen is well equipped and rooms are very nicely decorated. The host, Maryfe, was great - communicative, pro-active, and very flexible. highly recommended!

The million dollar view is true. Don't miss the sunsets. We were also visited by monkeys which was exciting. Everything was great and Maryfe was very responsive. We also spent time at her rental business at the beach by Manuel Antonio and she let us use a parking space right there. It's a great beach, very nice for swimming. We tried parasailing which the kids loved.

I’ve stayed in many places in Quepos and Manuel Antonio over the years and this by far is the nicest Villa I’ve seen! Impeccable quality and amenities. Very private and quiet setting with a view that is the best there is! Close location to everything without the crazy busy area up on the Manuel Antonio riviera where most tourist tend to go because of so much advertising. This is the place! Don’t miss it! Absolutely spectacular place!! One of the best views you can find in the area!! Can’t wait to go back and stay with Mary again!!

1st time to Costa Rica! Mary did a great job! We should have used her for more things looking back but some things you just need to figure out along the way. Being that this was our 1st time to Costa Rica. I didn't realize how different the roads are going up into the mountains and so it felt strange driving up there to check in originally but we got there and it was such an incredible view. We had the downstairs of the 3 units available, and we felt it was private. We saw monkeys and a sloth and parrots multiple times during our stay. Incredible trip!

Great Airbnb. Would come back in the future!

Maryfe was a fantastic host. She gave super clear instructions (even a video) on how to get to the house. There was attention to detail; the toilet paper and the towels were folded into beautiful shapes. The beds were comfy and there was a diffuser to make the home smell beautiful. Coffee was there for us to use and the hammock with the stunning view was the cherry on top! She also gave us suggestions for things to do and rentals for the beach. Thank you so much Maryfe for your hospitality, it made our trip carefree and easy. Will definitely come back to that same house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mar y Sombra. It was very clean and comfortable and the location was fabulous. The hostess, Mary, was quick to respond to any questions or needs that we had. We will definitely stay there again when we go back. No need to look any further.

Maryfe was beyond helpful and accommodating. We came to Manuel Antonio/Quepos days before our reservation and she still set up tours and arranged our transportation for our whole trip. The home it’s self is very beautiful and the view is amazing! This is a 3 unit house. (3 apartments in one house), but we rarely saw the other guest and didn’t have to share any space. If you plan to walk around the area, it might be a good idea to get a taxi on the way back because the walk up to the house his very strenuous (steep hills). Overall, the place is really special and Maryfe’s accommodations was the cherry on top. We liked it so much we booked an extra day. This place will not disappoint.

Mary is probably the best Airbnb host I’ve ever had, and I’ve been using the platform for over a decade. She was kind, generous, and went above and beyond to create a wonderful experience for us. Her place is beautiful and I highly recommend.

We booked this place because of the view and did not regret it! The place is new and comfortable, but the view and a bunch of animals and birds make this place very special. In addition, Maryfe is a phenomenal host: great communicator, attentive to questions and requests. She got us a parking spot on the beach, and we walked from there to the park and enjoyed afternoon on the beach. Highly recommend!
