Everything about this place is 10/10. Melissa is an incredible host; very responsive and helpful with all things. The house is comfortable and in a quiet, yet beautiful location. The pool is perfect hangout, with the beach right down the stairs. So grateful to get to experience this wonderful home. Thank you Melissa!

We LOVED staying at the Mermaid House. We did a couple snorkel trips with Clearwater Adventures - a very short walk from the house - and they were fantastic. We also loved snorkeling right off the beach at the house. The dock was a great place to spend the day. Easy to get to West End and West Bay via water taxi.

Melissa and Manny were gracious, helpful and accommodating hosts. We could not have asked for better prepared and informed hosts, especially when it comes to activities, restaurants, and acquiring any needed provisions for our stay. The private dock and beach (equipped with our very own mermaid, no less!), was a beautiful place to swim, snorkel and relax as we watched the beautiful sunsets each day. The view without leaving the house was also amazing for those days when we were spent a little earlier in the day and wanted to chill inside. Overall, we couldn’t have hoped for a better situated place, 5-7 minutes away from both West End and West Bay, nestled in between the two. Rental car made a difference for us ad we had the freedom to explore as extensively as we wished.

The Mermaid House was a wonderful place to stay! The location is perfect—quiet and peaceful while still being close to everything. It was incredibly easy to catch a water taxi, and the snorkeling right off the dock was amazing. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Roatán.

If you’re heading to Roatan and looking for the perfect place to stay, Mermaid House was absolutely incredible. The views are unreal, the house sits right on the beach, and everything was spotless, spacious, and comfortable. The pool was fantastic, and one of our favorite parts of the trip was the chef (Dixie) they recommended to come cook at the house — such a great experience. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or a better overall trip. Highly recommend Mermaid House to anyone visiting Roatan.

A very beautiful place near West End. This house is comfortable, clean and beautiful. It has everything you could need from laundry, comfortable beds, top notch kitchen, convenient location, refreshing pool and security. We didn’t walk to West End because there are not shoulders along the road but it was only a 2 minute drive to the main area and we never had an issue driving or parking anywhere. Loved our stay.

We loved hanging out in both screened in porches, relaxing in the pool, and being able to cook a few meals at home was a great break from eating out every meal. The house was very clean and only a 5 minute drive into West End. Melissa met us at check-in to go over important details of the home. Would highly recommend booking your next stay at Bayside Breeze!

The Mermaid House was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for my husband, me, our two grown daughters and their husbands. The view is spectacular. Melissa was always responsive. She gave great recommendations, set up transportation with Loly and her husband to and from the airport and helped us track down a lost cell phone. Loly gave us a little tour to the West End on the way to the AirBNB and introduced us to delicious Baleadas at Yahongreh? Highly recommend Dixie coming to the AirBNB to cook a delicious meal, scuba diving and the cultural tour with Clearwater Adventures and fishing with Captain Patrick Ebanks.

Bayside Breeze was perfect. Melissa was an incredibly responsive and thoughtful host, sharing local tips that made our island stay even more special. The house offered plenty of space to spread out, along with quiet corners when someone wanted a little solitude. Set in a lush, jungle-like setting, the home felt peaceful and private throughout our stay. Our favorite spot was the upstairs screened-in porch, easily the best view in the house. The pool was a refreshing bonus and perfect for cooling off after a warm day. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked; I cook often when traveling and truly had everything I needed. Melissa has clearly thought of every detail to help guests feel comfortable and at home. The house sits uphill from the main West End strip of restaurants and bars. While walkable, the road lacks sidewalks and can feel dark at night, so we recommend taking a quick taxi. Overall, it was a peaceful, comfortable place to stay, and we would happily return.
