I had a truly wonderful experience at Villa Marino. There are simply no words to describe how beautiful this place is. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and from the moment I arrived, I felt completely relaxed. I actually spent less time at the beach than I expected because the house and pool are such enjoyable places to be; it was hard to convince myself to leave! Whenever I did go, the beach was fantastic—lively and full of energy on the weekends. Coming back to the privacy and peacefulness of the house was the perfect balance. It offers the best of both worlds. The house feels warm and full of character. It’s not a brand-new luxury home, but that’s part of its charm. Everything is clean, well-cared for, and works exactly as it should, including a very well-equipped kitchen. You can tell the owners genuinely care, with thoughtful improvements underway. I highly recommend Villa Marino and would happily return!

The views are simply perfect. We saw monkeys, lots of parrots, and all kinds of animals. We really loved everything. Cesar was super responsive and always responded to our needs very quickly. I recommend it.

This place is a little piece of paradise! It was so relaxing and there was everything we needed. We saw so much nature and the birds were so fun to see. Cesar was super helpful and responsive. The pool was so big and fun to splash around in. The beach was a 10 minutes walk. We lived outside until bedtime! The bed was comfortable and had an AC unit that worked perfectly. The sunsets were EPIC! I’d love to comeback someday!

This place is incredible!! The location and views are unlike any other. Playa Blanca is an amazing beach and a quick 5 minute walk from the house. Cesar is an amazing host! We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

We absolutely loved the view & surroundings from our Villa. Found out you don’t have to leave the amazing pool area to see the Scarlet Macaws, Iguanas & assorted other beautiful birds. They visited us every morning & we loved it. We found the Villa both beautiful & unique. Only had a couple issues concerning hot water & tiny crabs in some of our shower areas. With the quick response from our host & the help from our housekeeper Hazel, problems were taken care of. Who knew the tiny crabs were harmless! The only information I would add for anyone staying there is that on the weekends starting Friday night, there is an area below the villa that is definitely a local beach. Being a narrow road, the traffic can become snarled with cars & busses all trying to drive & park. Then you have pedestrians walking there too. We learned to have patience. The reward is enjoying the most spectacular view once you arrive at the Villa. I would definitely recommend not planning on eating out every night.

I had read the reviews and they were all positive, but they don't do the property justice. It is gorgeous. There were six of us (family with older children) with different tastes, morning routines, and expectations. We all left happy. I highly recommend staying here.

Villa Marino was a gorgeous getaway that was well stocked with plenty of amenities. Cesar and Hazel were wonderful hosts and very responsive to our questions. The property has water views on 3 sides. We loved watching and listening to the chatter of a beautiful macaw family, my father would come up with a new soap opera about their antics every morning. We could see whales from the breakfast deck. I have never been to an Airbnb kitchen that was so well stocked which was very helpful because getting to a grocery store is not quick or easy. The house had plenty of room for our family of 9. Another couple people could have slept no problem. The house is in a gated compound so very safe. An overall fantastic property - I miss it dearly!

This beautiful home is a sanctuary. The energy is peaceful, the views breathtaking, including a spectacular 240° panoramic ocean view. Every inch exudes thoughtfulness and soul. You can feel how loved this place is. The rainproof, plentiful outdoor seating invites you to relax and soak it all in. The kitchen is bar none the best we’ve seen in any Airbnb, fully stocked with everything you could need, and then some. The attention to detail is second to none. From sunrise coffee to evenings under the stars, every moment here invites presence. It's a place where time slows down, hearts open, and the beauty around you mirrors the peace you feel within. We’ve stayed at many Airbnbs across Costa Rica, and this is our top choice. We left overflowing with gratitude. This home doesn’t just host you—it restores you. It’s the kind of place that stays with you. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful, luxurious, and unforgettable Costa Rican experience.

We loved this villa! Stayed here for my birthday and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to stay. It is tucked away and private within a 5 minute walk from the beach. We drove into town (Jaco) to do most of our excursions, and the pool/hot tub were great ways to relax when we got back. Cesar was a wonderful host, and Hazel who takes care of the home is very sweet. The view from the backyard/pool area is unreal! Thank you Cesar for hosting us :)

Nailed it with this location. We have never visited Costa Rica before & I can’t express how helpful Caesar was through the whole process with any questions I had. He was very quick to respond and always incredibly helpful. The house itself was a dream. It was much bigger than we actually needed, but it was nice to have the space to spread out. we felt very safe in Punta Leona. The views from the house were so incredibly gorgeous. Waking up every day to the sounds of the ocean and all the birds and wildlife all around will be missed, but we do hope to return one day. Hazel the housekeeper comes every day and she is such a special person. She was also very helpful. The beds are super comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked. We saw tons of monkeys, iguanas, scarlet macawas, and many other birds from the house. Plays Blanca was wonderful to snorkel every day. We watched sea turtles hatch from the beach and snorkeling with sea turtles & colorful fish. It was perfect.

Amazing home, the best location to take a break and relax with family or friends. Views from the home are absolutely picture perfect. Cesar was an amazing host and always available to answer any questions. I really hope I can visit again. Thank you, Cesar!

I am a repeat guest at this property. I had wondered if my family and I would find the Villa as charming and relaxing as during our first visit, and I am pleased that was the case! What made it even more special was that this second visit was in a different season than the first, so the gorgeous Costa Rica flora and fauna presented new surprises and delights. How amazing to have close-up photos with a small band of Capuchin monkeys on this second visit -- just over the hill from the Villa's property. What was the same during the second stay was Cesar's excellent communication, the presentation and upkeep of the property, and the wonderful service and support of the caretaker, Hazel.

Cesar is an amazing host. His home is way bigger than the pictures show, lots of room to spread out and the pool area is a dream. The pictures are accurate. Cesar has a super kind lady who comes early everyday to help clean. Cesar makes you feel like family!
