We absolutely loved our stay at Juan’s place! Both him and Amanda were very responsive and kind. The place was very comfortable, clean, and beautiful, felt right at home. They made instructions super easy as well. The pool and grill area are perfect. And kitchen is well equipped. Highly recommend!!!

Extremely satisfied with everything! From the security of the property all the way down to the service from the host. The house is very well taken care of. Great space. Amazing pool and outdoor area. Very well equipped for anyone staying there. Outdoor entertainment, washer, dryer, beach chairs, coolers. Spacious rooms with great closet space. Bathrooms were beautiful and nicely stocked. Its located on a very quiet and peaceful street but not far from restaurants and markets. Very easy to get around. Juan and Amanda were amazing hosts! The best that I have come across. They made sure my Family and I were settled in and gave great recommendations. Amazing communication! I will recommend this house to anyone staying in this area. 10 out of 10 stars! Thank you Juan and Amanda for everything. We even got a surprise visit from 3 different iguanas! This experience will live forever with my Family and I. It was perfect! We will definitely be back in the future! Pura Vida!

This place was excellent—you’re in your own private compound on the edge of a small rural Costa Rican town. It offers an authentic taste of local life, with motorbikes zipping by and locals gathering at nearby shops and food spots. The house felt very safe and was well-equipped, with a great pool, a karaoke speaker, multiple TVs with cable, board games, and a nice kitchen for cooking your own meals. The backyard was a highlight, featuring a resident iguana you’d see almost daily, and even a little lizard inside the apartment making his signature kissing sounds. A fun and memorable stay that truly captures the Costa Rican experience.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The location is more local than touristy, which we really appreciated. The backyard pool, grilling and dining area were one of our favorite features of the property, as well as being able to see the local birds, frogs, iguanas, etc. The hosts were very communicative and quick to respond. Beds were comfortable and the entire house was extremely well stocked. Property was easy to access and being gated added an extra sense of security. We do wish the photos made it clearer that all bedrooms are upstairs, as that info may be helpful for guests traveling with older family members. On a personal note, offering a local chef providing authentic Costa Rican meals would have been a great option.

I spent hours researching the best place for my family to stay for one week in Guanacaste, and I'm thrilled to have found and stayed in Juan and Amanda's place in Sardinal. The home itself is BEAUTIFUL and had everything we could possibly need to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The pool and outdoor kitchen were particular highlights. It was a perfect place to stay for our family of five. Everything was as the photos suggested. For us, the location was great; easy access to the airport and Playas del Coco and Playa Hermosa. It was also a good starting point for day trips such as Rincón de la Vieja. Bijagua de Upala and Llanos de Córtes. Juan and Amanda also gave fantastic recommendations for beaches and restaurants to visit. We appreciated being a bit off of the tourist route and having the opportunity to see the real Costa Rican lifestyle rather than just tourist traps. Juan and Amanda are super responsive hosts and think of small details that make a stay extra nice.

The house was very nice and clean! There were some ants in the kitchen (probably were attracted to the fresh fruit that was left) however bugs are to be expected when staying in Costa Rica. Juan was very nice and responsive and gave a lot of great recommendations! Traffic can be very troublesome at certain times taking up to an hour to get to the airport. There is only one main road to get to and from Liberia which can create standstill traffic and take a long time just to go a few miles! Overall it was a great stay and we had a lot of fun! Thank you Juan!
