We had a fantastic 6-day stay! The property was incredibly clean, spacious, and perfectly suited all of our needs. The highlight, however, was the view—it is exactly as pictured and absolutely breathtaking. David was a stellar host; he was always readily available to answer our questions and provided some excellent local recommendations that made our trip even better. We would definitely come back again!

This Airbnb is absolutely magnificent. It has the best view in the country - there is no restaurant or hotel in this part of Costa Rica with a more spectacular sunset view. The house is secluded and private, very quiet and perfect for a big group of adults who also want privacy. All the amenities you could want. David is a wonderful host who goes the extra mile to ensure a great experience. His recommendations for local guides (boat, chef, rainforest guide) were all spot-on and we couldn’t have found any of them on our own. David also stocked the house with groceries and was always available right away if we had a question. All in all, any family or group of friends will find this place a dream come true. We cannot recommend it more highly.

The house worked great for our family. The pool and patio area was the best part. A million dollar view. So many wonderful memories were made out there. Nobody wanted to leave and go home. David and Armando were so responsive to our every need. Would love to come back some day! Magical!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and we had an excellent time at Villa Durazno. The space was fantastic for our three families with young children. Everyone got a master suite and kids had plenty of room. This place is MASSIVE. The back patio/pool was absolutely incredible with an unbelievable view. The view never got old. Wow. We had a lot of fun relaxing and the kids had a blast playing in the pool. David was a fantastic host and was such a help in making our experience in an unfamiliar country go very smoothly. He helped us plan activities and dinner reservations, setup chefs, ensure we could watch March Madness basketball, and was always on standby. Honestly his presence is probably the best aspect of this property. (And the view!) The location of the home is definitely out of the way up a big hill in a quiet part of Cost Rica. You get tons of privacy. If you are looking to relax and enjoy a beach vacation in a beautiful, spacious home you can't beat this place.

What a wonderful 7 Days we enjoyed at the Villa. The home is large and lovely - exceeding our expectations. We were a group of 10 family members and all enjoyed a private bed and bath. The home's unique architecture and modern touches were a delight. The outside area is so beautiful and private. The lower level pool windows provided many a fun picture! As others have noted, the house would just be a BIG house without David. He not only shopped my extensive grocery list prior to arrival but also greeted us with sparkling wine after a long journey. Once you learn the location of the house, traveling to and from was a piece of cake. We did rent two cars and the drive to Coco and other excursions was easy. David arranged a van for us to take to Tamarindo for sunset sailing as we were not too keen to drive home in the dark after a day of drinks. Agua Blu was a favorite hangout and only a ten-minute drive. We loved all the beauty and people of Costa Rica and hope to come back!

This is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The views are better than pictured. Love all of the space and separate rooms and bathrooms for our big party. David helped us with whatever we needed and was very accommodating and kind. We could not have asked for a better stay. We will definitely be back!

I've stayed at a good many Airbnb's over the years and Villa Durazno is definitely the best of the best! The house is beautiful and the pictures really don't do it justice. The view is stunning, especially at sunset. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the infinity pool is deep and clean, and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. David is a fantastic host, extremely responsive, friendly, and proactive. 10/10, couldn't have had a better time and would definitely stay again!

The views and privacy are beyond amazing! We were a group of 11 and everyone had plenty of room. The house is so beautiful and the design is spectacular. David was so responsive and helpful with everything we needed. We ate out most nights but the one critical thing I would say is the oven and coffee maker aren’t the best and could be updated but that’s so small, I wouldn’t hesitate to return and I cannot wait to! We spent most of the time at the house because it was so relaxing and beautiful. Highly recommend

Excellent house, the photos do not do it justice, very spacious and with a spectacular view.

The pictures don’t come close to doing this place justice. It’s incredible. David makes sure you have the trip you dream of — just tell him what you want to do, and he will take care of the rest. He stocked our fridge so we didn’t have to worry about it before we arrived, and he arranged our excursions and travel. We also had a driver we felt safe with. We had the same driver all weekend. David set that up, too. The entire thing was stress-free. I plan to come back 100 more times

David was an excellent host! He communicated everything we needed to do prior to our our arrival, helped coordinate all of our activities, lined up some excellent chef options, and always made sure we were enjoying our stay. He made this trip a great one. I would highly recommend staying at the Villa because I know David will make sure you have a great time!

Bliss! Luxury! Serenity! Glamourous! Ease! Describe our experience staying in this home, hosted by David. We selected this home for my (Deb’s) 50th Birthday Celebration with a group of ten ladies, followed by the family joining. The Home The home is exactly as pictured, but better. It’s hard to appreciate the layout of the home on various levels via the photos. The take-away is that every bedroom and gathering room is abundantly spacious, sophisticated, and envelopes you in bliss. All bedrooms have bathrooms, huge closets, and extremely comfortable beds. The home layout is expansive, allowing plenty of common and private space. It really does feel palatial. The view is unsurpassed, the property is private, and the neighborhood gated, dotted with luxury homes. We felt safe, allowing us to experience utter relaxation. The Host/Property Manager, David. This English gentleman was nothing short of helpful, amazing, and a savior to us. I was at first tentative of having a property manager who lives in a separate facility on property, but those concerns all melted away when we quickly learned the value of a local who knew the ins and outs of navigating the region. David arranged for private chefs, a DJ, transportation, private sailings, professional photographers, trips in the rain forests, trips to zip-line, restaurant reservations, and in-house COVID testing. Anything we asked of David, he went above and beyond to provide, and he did so in a very pragmatic, cost-effective manner. The “Extras” that David Arranged David didn’t simply connect us with companies, he shared his personal, trusted resources and made sure we were protected/taken care of. Our private sunset sailing cruise, that took us to a private island that then concluded with a drop-off at a beachside restaurant, is a memory I will always cherish. David arranged for us to be ferried around by van everywhere and on trips; it was very cost-effective and professional. We had an amazing DJ for a private party. A superb professional chef and bartender created a custom meal to serve us at the home. David took the stress out of the whole… test for COVID before our flights thing… by arranging for in-home testing that was cheaper than at the airport. Everything David provided was a boutique experience, at fair prices. He provided arrangements with both long term planning months ahead of our trip, and then on the fly, eliminating the stress and anxiety. He was there, supporting us, each day. When Bad things Happened Alas, mid-way through our trip, I had an accident and broke my ankle. This is where having David supporting us really made a difference. He arranged for transportation to a private hospital. David even arranged to borrow a local wheelchair for me so that I could go to dinner on my last night there before returning home. Unfortunately, I had to depart early due to the pain. I cannot fathom going through that experience without him. I chose this house because all that I hoped it would be. It exceeded our expectations and then some. We look forward to coming back with just our small family for a “do over.” Thank you, David, for the hospitality and for hosting us in this gorgeous home. Our vacation is over and it will be hard to gather all the good words I can say about the Villa and especially David that went above and beyond to make sure that our trip will be absolutely amazing. The pictures will really not show how beautiful t this villa is. We were a group of 11 people and couldn’t find a better fit for the group.
