Calipso is a little paradise. It’s beautiful and clear that Nico and family have put a lot of thought, love and work into the property. It’s very clean and modern. We enjoyed meeting the other guests outside our room or in the communal kitchen. It was a nice walk down to the beautiful beach. And we loved the Italian restaurant across the street!

Highly recommend staying at Calipso Lodge. I had an amazing time - walking distance to one of the nicest beaches in Guanacaste, super clean and modern rooms and the hammock on the balcony was just an added bonus. Will definitely be back!

My friend and I were blown away by how beautiful and clean the hotel was. Everything we needed was walking distance. The owners are very nice and down to earth people who went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and work hard to keep the place clean.

Good location- walkable to beach and multiple restaurants. The property is very clean and has a lot of thoughtful amenities like a hammock on the patio, a shaded second floor yoga studio, a small pool and bar for post surf lounging, and a well equipped kitchen. Plus a lot of cute decoration and landscaping! Nico the owner has been living in the area for a long time and is a super knowledgeable surfer! He went above and beyond to help us and had some great recommendations! Thank you!!

The kitchen is very well equipped, the space is generally very quiet and enjoyable. As a point of improvement, the quality of the beds could be improved.

We had a rather chaotic stay starting with the Check in. When we arrived there was nobody around. We texted the owner via Airbnb and didnt get any response. In the end, we waited like an hour until he arrived. Got an other room than booked. The rooms were a little musty. Breakfast was bad, a tiny amount of fruits and 3 tiny pancakes.

Esta opinón es totalmente falsa.Siempre nos gusta saber la hora de llegada de los huéspedes, pero ustedes nunca contestaron a nuestra pregunta sobre la hora. También les enviamos una notificación diciéndoles el nombre de su habitación ya que estaba abierta y podían entrar y hacer el chelín mas tarde. No es nuestra culpa si no leen los mensajes. La habitación no puede estar húmeda con el calor de Guanacaste el mes de febrero, y jamás cambiamos una habitación por otra a no ser que haya algún problema grande en ella y debamos de reparar algo. NO FUE EL CASO! tuvieron la habitación que habían reservado. En cuanto al desayuno, ofrecemos una opción Healty para el todo el mundo; bowl de fruta tropical fresca, panqueques hechos por nosotros y al momento y posibilidad de agregarle miel pura artesana o sirope y cafe, té y leche. No creo que pueda usar la palabra malo en ese aspecto, porque MALO no es! Además el desayuno incluido es de 7 a 9 y ustedes llegaron más tarde de las 9 y fuimos muy amables en servirles igualmente. De todas formas, ofrecemos también 3 desayunos más a la carta y con precios muy reducidos. NO INVENTE! Por favor, no regrese más a nuestro lugar de paz y PURA VIDA

Awesome spot! Beautiful communal space for yoga/chill. Walking distance to the beach and awesome restaurants. Would definitely stay again!

great place, room is spacious. only 1 electricity plug in but beside that really nice. includes a small breakfast. lovely place close to the beach.
