Our family of six (2 adults, 4 teenagers) had the most incredible 8 days at Villa Marunga! Pictures truly do not do this beautiful home and property justice...being there in person was even more incredible. From the moment I inquired about this home, Jimena was very responsive and communicated clearly every step of the way. Leo was also an amazing help to us before our trip and throughout our stay! He booked all of our activities and communicated clearly about price, directions and details. I highly recommend all activities our family did while in CR! We did ziplining in Montezuma (about 40 min away) with Sun Trails Tours; surf lessons in Santa Theresa (about 40 min away); and a private catamaran tour to Tortuga Island (12 min to boat launch) for a day of snorkeling, amazing lunch, and relaxing on the island with Cocho Tours. Chef Miguel (also arranged by Leo) cooked for us 6 nights and he was INCREDIBLE! I cannot say enough good things about this home and our experience in CR!

Absolutely perfect. Stayed the last 12 days here with my wife and two kids (13,17) and it exceeded expectations. The pictures look great but they do not fully represent the beauty that surrounds you. Waking up and going to sleep watching the Macaws that have a nest on the property was unreal. The house keeper was a great help and the pool was kept very clean. We came to this area 14 years ago and really wanted to revisit now that my daughter is older and it didn’t disappoint. This place is an amazing base point and allowed us to explore the beaches and restaurants of Tambor, the beaches, jungle and waterfalls of Montezuma (must do) enjoying beautiful sunsets on the beaches of Santa Teresa (Uma beach club has the best sunset you will ever see) hiking Cabo Blanco and Curu was amazing and zip lining in Mal Pais and to the Montezuma waterfalls was incredible. Hiking to playa grande for surf lessons. We were always excited to start and finish our days here!

We had a lovely time at this property. It is even more beautiful than the pictures. Leo was wonderful as were his counter parts. Absolutely stunning property!

Villa Marunga was emaculate with breath taking views! The house offered the precise "wow" factor I had hoped. I consulted with Leo prior to our stay and had a hot, chef prepared meal upon arrival. Leo also arranged excursions, transportation and additional meal options. The housekeeper came mornings and kept the kitchen tidy while we had coffee, pastries and omelettes. Our stay was four nights, we chose not to rent a car (which was right for us). I would definitely recommend Villa Marunga! Jimena (owner) was very respnsive and answered all of my many questions. We had a fabulous stay at Villa Marunga and can’t recommend it highly enough. The house is absolutely stunning, with plenty of space and comfort for our group of six. The pool was perfect — we spent most of our time floating and soaking the fabulous views in. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything needed for cooking at home, and the outdoor BBQ was fantastic for grilling fresh fish from the market that Jimena recommended. Yorleny, our housekeeper, was wonderful and made delicious breakfasts for us every morning, which was such a treat. The walk to the beach is an experience in itself — we loved crossing the suspension bridge. The location is ideal for exploring both Montezuma and Santa Teresa. Jimena made wonderful suggestions and kept in touch. Leo was there to check us in and answered questions for us. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a lovely time at Jimenas place. The house is really spacious and was very clean and we were able to watch some beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Also saw tucans right outside. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent stay. The property was exactly as advertised and well maintained. Clean, quiet, and efficiently set up for a comfortable stay. The location worked well for our plans and made logistics easy. Host communication was timely, professional, and proactive from check-in through departure. Overall, a reliable, well-run Airbnb that met expectations and delivered good value. Would book again without hesitation.

Great central location. Lora's place for lunch and dinner just a minute down the road. Small town a minute away. Great pool and yes u are on a farm with beautiful peacocks and animals.

Beautiful house Jimena was always available. And was flexible with our requests.

We had a great stay for our friend’s Bachelorette! If driving, it may be a tough to find, the outside gate is not marked, but the local shuttle drivers know where it is. We were had contact with house manager, Leo, he helped with arranging meals, groceries, transportation, excursions and answered all questions. He was welcoming and patience. The cook was great, the meals she prepped were the best during our stay. The house was gorgeous, felt private, clean and very spacious for the 8 of us (just keep in mind that you’re in the jungle so expect lots of bugs and birds!). The bedrooms had ice cold AC, were spacious and very comfortable. The views are STUNNING and the pool was perfect. It was a 5-10 minute walk to Tango Mar Hotel and the beach.
