Cindy was an absolute joy to work with. The cabin was spotless, the flora and fauna were amazing, and the river rushing by was picturesque. It was overall a wonderful experience.

Beautiful location and surroundings. The river in the backyard was gorgeous and fun to frolic in. The patio was very enjoyable as well. The AC in the bedroom was perfect. We saw toucans and a strawberry dart frog behind the river in the forest. Close drive to La Fortuna enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. Cindy was very sweet and had great communication. The owner is super proactive and kind, the house matches the photos, very secluded location next to a beautiful river, the house is simple but very clean. We were always well attended by the owner who treated us to a delicious breakfast!

Tatiana and her family are super pure life. My friends and I always feel at home. She was super friendly and helpful. When we arrived, I had trouble with my car and Tatiana's husband and son rescued us. In the morning, we ordered breakfast and it was delicious, especially the tamale. The river that passes by the house looks much better in person than in the photos, and the house too. It is a relaxing place and we felt at peace listening to the sounds of the night and the river. We had to use the laundry service, but you just have to bring your own soap and Tatiana doesn't offer the option of a dryer in case there's no sun, which happened to us. We saw a few bugs inside the house, but we know we're kind of in a forest, so you just have to have repellent and something for mosquito bites. The house is at the bottom of the property, you need to know how to drive the manual car well, a car fits perfectly and there is a place to turn around.

Our family of 4 spent over a week at Tatiana's cabin by the river. We would highly recommend this spot for folks looking to visit Arenal/La Fortuna who want to avoid the middle of the busy tourist areas and be a little closer to nature. The cabin is very clean and has all the basic essentials you need. We loved that it was very private at the end of a long driveway by the river. We enjoyed dipping in the river, watching the birds and wildlife walk by the beautiful covered porch, and lounging in the hammock every day. Tatiana is so friendly and helpful- she made sure we had everything we needed, offered lots of wonderful local recommendations, and made us feel welcome. We were happy to be able to walk to a neighborhood market for essentials as well as a fun pizza restaurant just around the corner. The main town and activities are just a 15-20min drive. We would stay here again and recommend to friends and other visitors!

A cozy little house, very well equipped, super clean, surrounded by tropical vegetation, we saw many varieties of birds, and also  congos. Definitely a magical place to recharge energy and repeat it as many times as possible. Excellent host service.

It is a nice house and what we particularly liked was that it is authentic. It is a great location, directly on the river with very nice natural garden. Lots of animals, just great.

From the street, it looks inconspicuous, but you can find it well thanks to Tatjana's description. When we reached the house we were totally delighted with the location, the small river flows about 3-4 meters in front of the terrace and has a wild look thanks to the rocks. And there's nothing wrong with the amenities and cleanliness.

A little corner of paradise tucked away from busy La Fortuna but still very easy to go to the main sights. We had a shaky arrival because our daughter was unwell and Tatiana was extremely helpful, helped us find a doctor and even found us a driver who gave us the flexibility we needed with a sick child. The place itself is super clean, near a river you can dip in (and it was essential as it was very hot), and there is even air con in the bedroom. Tatiana also helped us booking activities. Fully recommend if you want privacy and beautiful garden.

This cabin sits next to a beautiful stream in the forest just outside La Fortuna. The property is very safe and private (it's situated at the back of the property where the host's family lives - it's a large property, and you have privacy. Tatiana is very friendly and accommodating, and practicing Spanish with her was fun. I will stay here again the next time I visit.

House: Tatiana’s house is a simple but just perfect Costa Rican accommodation for a family of 4. It sits by a beautiful river that runs behind the property so you get to wake up to and fall sleep with the soothing sound. We felt safe being tucked away from busy streets. The kitchen has everything you need to make delicious Costa Rican coffee in the morning and prepare fresh fruits from a nearby road side stand. The front patio has a large dining table - a perfect place to relax and enjoy your morning coffee. Host: Tatiana welcomed us in person and went over how things worked. She was so helpful with making reservations for tours in the neighborhood and I couldn’t be more grateful for her hospitality. Location: it was 15-17 minutes from most places we wanted to visit! So that you know it is not a grid-like streets - they are narrow winding roads so use caution if you are driving. Overall we would definitely recommend Tatiana’s house to a family looking for a memorable vacation.

Our family (with two girls ages 3 and 11) absolutely LOVED our stay. The property was beautiful and being able to listen to the river as we fell asleep was magical. We spent our time exploring La Fortuna and Arenal, but when we came back "home" we could relax and enjoy privacy and nature. Tatiana is an amazing host and was so helpful in the lead-up communication. she offered to book us any tour we were interested in and had great recommendations. i HIGHLY recommend the add-on breakfast. it was such a treat to have home cooked traditional food. the kids loved it! If you're looking for an escape, while still being close enough to enjoy the surrounding area, this is a perfect spot for you!

Tatiana is very friendly and helpful and you immediately feel at home. The property is very quiet and idyllically located on a river surrounded by lots of trees and plants. The large terrace invites you to rest and linger. The property has air conditioning in the 2 bedrooms and has everything you need. Tatiana welcomed us with a large plate of assorted fruits, which she prepared especially for us.

The cabins were spacious, clean, well appointed, quiet, and safe. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for health reasons. Tatiana understood that, communication was great. We have been refunded for all unused days. Thank you for that.

I love this place by the Rio Burrito; I wish it was for longer than just one night. It is private, the gardens are abundant and cared for, I have seen numerous species of birds in my short time here, and the river is a song that is always in the background. The home is just down a driveway and then an easy walking path, so the road noise is not heard so it is quiet. I briefly met one of the owners, and she was so thoughtful and told me to let her know if I needed anything. The home is spotless, well-furnished and comfortable and I noticed there is a little grocery store within a 5-minute walk. I chose this location as the area seems quieter than in a town, which is perfect for me as a relaxing place for a break in my travels. A lucky find.

the garden on the river is beautiful. cottage is equipped with everything. you are very private.

Tatiana's place is simply wonderful,if what you are looking for is a quiet place full of peace and nature, home has all this and more ,large green areas, a beautiful garden where its main visitors are frog butterfly birds and in the background the river as its main attraction, air conditioning,the kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable,I recommend this accommodation for anyone who loves to be in contact with nature and enjoy its benefits.

Absolutely beautiful spent most of our time on the porch with the sound of the river the ac was so nice and the private entrance and alarm system make you feel so safe. Easy walk to restaurant and grocery store. Quick and beautiful drive to downtown la fortuna with so many great restaurants activities and tours. Highly recommend

The Hidden Treasure Hause was the perfect place to stay while visiting La Fortuna and Arenal Volcano. If you're looking for a more private space outside of town, this is the spot for you! Also just a short 10 minute drive to La Fortuna, a nice small grocery store is within walking distance, and the entrance to the national park was about 40 minutes. The cabin is tucked into a manicured landscape with access to a fresh stream. Our kid loved being able to splash and swim (I did too)! Tatiana is amazing and will make you feel very welcome and at home. Highly recommend this spot if you desire to be in nature while still close to all the tourist spots.

We (parents+ son 3J.) were warmly welcomed. You have the whole spacious house with a huge terrace for himself - all super clean! As described, it is very quiet and idyllic directly on the river-white, well-kept property. They also offered great play opportunities to our little ones! When we had a problem with a trip, Tatiana immediately helped us. All are very helpful in general, you like to ask something. Thank you again for the great time at your place! All the best <3

When I travel, I want to experience the natural land, the people, the culture. And yet, I want to be close enough to venture out to a variety of sights, sounds, and activities. Tatiana's "Hidden Treasure" was just that. I experienced the privacy, quiet, natural surroundings of Costa Rica, while having close access to tours, hikes, restaurants, and more. I couldn't have planned for a better place or a more accomodating, respectful, and attentive host. Pura Vida.

The place is as described... very quiet... the river next to the cabin is great. A very natural environment and a nice experience...!

Tatiana is a very good host (she speaks very little English but uses an online translator if needed) She brought us several times small specialties to enjoy and gave us good advice for local activities. On the other hand, the car is really necessary, the roads are not made for walking. A small soda (local restaurant) is very close The river at the bottom of the room makes a big difference

a spacious house in the middle of a wonderful garden with a river... you practically live outside, hear the sound of the river all night, the geckos, birds during the day and also monkeys in the morning. the house was clean and safe, tatjana very helpful, friendly and accommodating. there are open places between walls and the ceiling, yet we had no bugs in the house. but those who are afraid of insects could feel uncomfortable. a completely successful stay that I like to recommend further, good value for money, thank you!

My family and I have stayed in this airbnb 2 times already and so far its our favorite airbnb in the fortuna area. Its about a 12 or 13 minute drive in car from la fortuna which is not bad. We enjoy being close to the city but also having that space from it to relax surrounded by nature. My mom absolutely loves this place because she relaxes with the sound of the river and its a very spacious and comfortable house to be with family. The beds are great, the kitchen is equipped, theirs good wifi, the bathroom has warm or hot water, and the house counts with a semi automatic washer which is the common machine used in CR in case you want to wash something. In our case we did a load of laundry but our clothes did not dry due to the rainy and cloudy weather but la fortuna has laundry services. Tatiana was a great host she is very kind, friendly, and helpful. She tried her best to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We have no complaints. Muchas gracias Tatiana esperamos visitar pronto.

Amazing little cabin tucked away by the riverside. Good facilities and a rustic experience of Costa Rica was had! Lots of wildlife on your doorstep and shops nearby. I even went for a dip in the river. I'd recommend the chocolate farm tour at Don Jorge farm nearby; and if you have a hire car, Errol (a tour guide and grandson of the owner) will even take you on some personal tours for much less than the usual tourist outlets.
