I am 76 and my wife is 72 and full of arthitis so we ask for a ground fl condo. what we got is one with a steep ramp plus 8 steps going down to the basement condo. When we arrived there was a water leak from the kitchen with water on the floor. Got fixed quite qickly.Also the the AC unit in the Master bedroom did not work. We arrived on March 4th and got fixed only on March 20. The owner sent 3 different contractors to try to get a better price. There is no water pressure at all at the Seran suites. The condo itself was clean but don't expect luxury because there isn't. Very cheaply furnished and supplied .The Condo F-1 at Serena Suite is not a place for long stay and neither for seniors. It is very dark all the time because i's kind of under ground and needs the lights on at all time. What was to most aggravating thing for us was the spying camera which watch us at all time. This camera is illegal since it's not a monitered camera system installed by the condo association.

Condo was clean and has all the essentials needed. Hector was responsive and checked on us almost every day. The condo is well located between 2 nice beaches however one needs a car or golf cart to go around. The distance between the condo and the beaches and the supermarkets is not great but in the heat of 30c it’s difficult to walk. I really enjoyed my stay of 4 weeks at Serena suites.

Enjoyed Costa Rica and the location very much. Needed a car to get to most areas but they were close by car.

Only 2min from the black sand Ocatal Beach. If you are a foodie like me, you can hunt for some urchins and make some uni or urchin carbonara. Otherwise you can swim to Gringo Beach. It's also only 4 min from Coco town.
Host Response
It would have been appreciated that if you saw that the dishwasher was bad, you should have reported it immediately so that someone could come to repair it. That way we could have solved the issue right away and you wouldn’t have left the pile of dirty dishes or a low stars review. Due to this, now there is a serious problem where the dishwasher has to be removed because the water is soaked and the furniture can rot.

Great little place situated right between Coco Beach (5min drive) and Ocatal Beach (2-3min drive). The place was clean and the pool was a nice respite after a long day. I would and will stay here again. It's also quite helpful to have such a responsive host.

Hector is an extremely attentive host! He checked in with us regularly and goes above and beyond with helpful suggestions every step of the way. We really enjoyed staying in this area with a nice mix of local flavour and amenities close by. There were many families with young children and loads of pets in the area. The pool area is beautifully done and all staff on site are super friendly and take care of your needs. We rented a golf cart very easily, which was handy for our longer stay. Thanks for everything. We’ll be back!

The condo at Serena Suites was clean and very well equipped. The whirl pool and swimming pool were immaculate. Unfortunately for the first four nights we were sadly entertained by a barking dog, one night until 11:45pm. Several complaints were registered with the Home Owners Association. This complex would best be suited for a young family and not seniors. Hector was unable to secure a safe and reliable taxi from Liberia to Serena Suites which was a little unnerving. A special thanks to Costa Rica shuttle for there services. Overall we had a very relaxing and enjoyable Five weeks in Costa Rica.

Hector is your Best Super Host! He listens carefully to your questions and what he can’t answer on the spot, he will get right back to you with a response as soon as possible. Hector makes all the arrangements he can and will help with recommendations or referrals that he isn’t able to. He is your “connection” and he’s got good connections. He helped us with Tour providers, Transfer recommendations to and from the airport and he knew where or who to call for exit COVID rapid tests. The Doctor made a house all and came to our door. A perfect Holiday is had by having a Super Host looking after you and your people. Thank you Hector, for making our first Airbnb experience a delightful Holiday. The secret with this place is location…a short distance to Playas del Coco and a short distance to Playa Octotal. Private, full kitchen, spacious and comfortable - gracias !

Hector is a very attentive host, gave us perfect directions for check in and attended to our every need during our stay. Serena Suites is located very conveniently near the beaches, stores and restaurants of Playa del Coco and its residents were all very kind. The apartment itself was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The pool area was a great place to relax and the gardens surrounding the property were lush and beautiful. Thanks again Hector!
