Beautiful place, perfect for a family and traveling without the need of bringing anything
Our stay in Costa Rica was amazing, and the Airbnb truly made the trip. The space was absolutely stunning—beautifully designed, spotless, and felt like a perfect getaway from the moment we arrived. Waking up each morning and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere was unforgettable. It had everything we needed, with comfortable beds and thoughtful details that made it feel like a luxury retreat. The host was friendly, responsive, and made everything seamless. This Airbnb really elevated the entire experience—we would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The house is one of a kind in Playa Hermosa—beachfront in the middle of a beautiful, quiet beach facing sunsets. The property’s caretaker is wonderful, responsive, and very friendly and kind. He handles laundry onsite for a fee. Each bedroom has an AC unit but the kitchen and living room do not. It has elements of an outdoorsy beach house: showers occasionally run cold, toilets can’t handle toilet paper, and bugs are present. None of those details prevented us from a great stay. We never felt unsafe at PH yet the security measures (alarm system, door/window drop-down gates, several keys to entrances) can be intimidating at first. Also expect and enjoy that PH is a public beach, so vendors, locals, dogs, and tourists pass the property. Restaurants are walkable on the beach (Niromi/Hotel Basque Del Mar and AquaSport) or a short drive away (Ginger). There is parking for 2 cars and a locked gate that you push open. The separate guest house was also nice and provides extra space and quiet.

We’d love to add a bit of context for future guests. Playa Hermosa is a very safe and peaceful community, and while the security features—such as the alarm system and electric blinds—may feel like a lot at first, they are there because the home sits directly on the beach. The electric blinds, in particular, help protect the house due to its exposure and provide an extra layer of comfort and security in such an open, oceanfront setting. As you mentioned, all beaches in Costa Rica are public by law, which is part of the charm of living right on the shore. It’s completely normal to see locals, visitors, and even friendly dogs enjoying the beach as they pass by. Being so close to nature also means occasional encounters with bugs, which is common for beachfront homes in the tropics. That said, we are actively increasing the frequency of our pest control services to continue improving our guests’ comfort. We really appreciate your openness to the natural, indoor-outdoor style of the home, and we’re so glad it didn’t take away from your overall experience. Amazing place! The pictures don’t fully do this place justice. The entire unit is spacious and aesthetically pleasing. Easy one of the most beautiful places we’ve stayed in. Very roomy for a family of 5 that can easily accommodate 10 comfortably. We started each day catching the sunrise with coffee on the covered porch. Moved to the onsite pool most days and had it all to ourselves. Leveraged the well stocked kitchen for breakfast and lunch and enjoyed the nearby resorts for fantastic dinners. Highly recommend using the grocery delivery service for easy stocking up for your stay. The Prieta Beach Club was a nice change of pace with beach and pool side service. PeXS was very helpful with recommendations and providing local expertise. We had a mechanical issue at the condo and they immediately responded and sent a team out to investigate and address. They were great to work with.

This location was outstanding. The view over the bay to the marina and the sunrise into the unit very morning were special. The unit has been recently renovated to a very high standard. The whole family enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and living/dining areas. The outdoor spaces had great sitting and dining area to relax and enjoy the wildlife. There is a shared pool beside the unit we spent some time. With lots of activities in the area and restaurants in the area that will appeal to everyone. One of our best vacations and will be going back soon.

This is a beautiful home with everything you would need. The views were outstanding, sunsets beyond beautiful. We were there with my oldest daughter and family, 13yo granddaughter and 10yo grandson. We enjoyed the wonderful pool and outside patio with plenty of comfy furniture. You will need a car to access this beautiful villa in a gated community at the top of a very steep hill, worth it for the peace, quiet, and views! Raquel was a wonderful, responsive host! She met us at check in with a complete tour of the house. She was a great resource and arranged a wonderful tour for my husband and I with a great private guide, Gabriel, and private vehicle that picked us up at the home. She recommended the best restaurants and where to shop nearby. Thank you for a memorable stay!
Our stay was incredible and we have not one negative thing to say about it. Rachel was absolutely amazing with everything we needed throughout our stay including booking all our transportation and excursions. I would highly recommend this place to anyone especially families.

Absolute dream location. Right on the beach, so peaceful. we arrived and were welcomed by our host, they gave us instructions and let us be. The house was spotless, well maintained, organized and fully stocked for all of our needs. Walkable to some restaurants and had a market down the road for essentials. very secure home, never felt unsafe. Our group of 4 adults and 6 kids fit perfect. we loved Nelson and his wife who stayed on the property and helped maintain it. We saw lots of wildlife from our lawn, even. Nelson even found a little lizard and shared with the kids! Great spot, when we return to CR we will come here

Best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. Open concept right on the beach. Each bedroom had something that made it special. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice linens and towels, beautiful beach that was quiet and not overcrowded. Massages steps away. Great restaurants nearby. We never wanted to leave. Nelson was most attentive and friendly. We loved him! Our group will be back no question.
A beautiful home with playa hermosa as your backyard! It was the perfect weekend away with 8 friends! The home has comfortable beds and hang out areas. Management was super helpful in planning our stay, connecting us with a chef and boat tour company as well as sharing all options for the area. There is wonderful on site support, Nelson and his wife who made everything easy for our short stay. Highly recommend for families or friend groups. We will be back!
