Absolutely stunning house! We loved waking up in the jungle. Make sure you have 4 wheel drive and hire the private chef the host recommends.

As I read in another review: if you are thinking about this place just go ahead and book it. Was one of the most incredible places I have ever stayed with the indoor / outdoor living. It is unique. Christian was an excellent host and we were well taken care of. We also found an added bonus of gym and tennis court within the community. We went to Uvita daily to visit friends which is about a 30 minute drive.

Amazing and unforgettable

Unbelievable property with absolutely stunning jungle / ocean views. Our host Christian was extremely helpful with anything our group needed from pre-trip planning, consistent check-ins to any needs during our actual stay. Overall amazing trip that we will definitely be back for round 2!

We had an unforgettable stay at this stunning home in the coastal mountains of Costa Rica. Surrounded by lush jungle and incredible views, we were greeted each morning by two toucans—an unforgettable touch of nature. The home’s open design made us feel immersed in the environment while still enjoying all the comforts of home. Christian was amazing—he helped arrange private chefs, daily cleaning, and even a car rental. The drive up the mountain takes about 20–25 minutes (a bit longer than expected), but it’s completely worth it for the peace and beauty at the top as well as better temperature and less mosquitos. Just make sure to stock up on groceries before heading up. There’s also a small market and a great restaurant about a quarter of the way up. A truly special place—we highly recommend it!

We had the most amazing magical time by this house. Situated in the jungle surrounded by nature, we saw so much wildlife without having to leave the property. The feeling at the house, the large rooms, and sounds of the jungle cannot be justified by the pictures. Was truly a one of a kind experience that we will never forget. Christian was such a great host and was in constant communication with us, he went above and beyond booking our car rental and really great in-house massages. He also gave us all the information we needed to book a highly recommended ATV tour. We would recommend to anybody to book this house. We truly cannot stop thinking about this magnificent trip.

Unique property. Outstanding design. Amazing views.

Really exceptional accommodation! Our host, Christian was always available and was very nice! Exceptional setting, ideal for disconnecting and enjoying the surrounding nature. We can only recommend this place that we had a hard time leaving! Pura vida!

This is the first house I have rented with concierge and did not know what to expect. Christian was very helpful communicating with me for months in advance of our trip. He answered all my questions regarding transportation, wildlife, safety, etc. Christian assisted with a rental car, zip lining activity, and private chef. When we arrived Michael met us close to the house to assist us with easily finding the house and getting us checked in the gated community. As other’s have said the road is only partially paved and adventurous but for us the road was not a problem at all. We left daily for activities and/or to go to dinner without any trouble. We even had heavy rain not typical during the dry season and the road was fine. The house is unbelievably beautiful with a calming peaceful feel to it. My husband who is normally a workaholic even on vacation actually put work aside and enjoyed relaxing at this appropriately named casa sanctuary!

Casa Sanctuary was one of the most unique and spectacular places we've ever stayed (and we travel a lot!). It's an absolutely amazing property... the pictures showcase it well - and it's a lot bigger than what it even appears. Some of our favorite parts were the spectacular views (they are truly incredible), infinity pool and we all loved the outdoor showers - so magical! We also loved the yoga platform and did a family yoga session while there. The property overall is just so unique and magical! Christian was incredibly helpful throughout our trip. From helping to book things (such as chef service, deep sea fishing and cleaning) and providing helpful tips around where to visit and eat while we were there. He was very responsive to all our questions and helped us when any issues came up. As others mentioned, the road up to the property is quite rough and takes about 15 minutes from the main road... so plan for that. I assure you that the view and house are worth it!

Absolutely stunning ! Christian was great right from the start! Super friendly and accommodating ! he helped us as we had quite an adventure with the rental car… he got us some food since we came super late and tired. As for the house it was hard to leave as we felt right at home ! This place is a gem! We felt like we had our own peace of heaven ! Hight on the mountain we had the most magical views and the whole property is so stunning ! The gardens around are just wow. A few min walk and you have a fitness room and a tennis court perched on top of the mountain. The house itself was greatly done since it’s all on one level which is great for a family with kids. Everyone had wall to wall windows with magical views. Kitchen is completely functional and we even have an outside bbq for great outside experience. We are back home missing it already ! Thank you Christian for the most unique experience yet in Costa Rica! Planning our next stay soon!

Christian communicated well prior to our visit and was kind, friendly and helpful during our stay. The drive the to the home is adventerous to say the least. Christian met us at a local restaurant to be sure we had no problems getting to the home and was available during the stay for any needed assistance and this was greatly appreciated. The home, view and landscape was breath taking. We explored waterfalls, national parks, local restaraunts, beaches and even had surf lessions. The trip was a family vacation over Christmas and was the perfect stay!

The Sanctuary was absolutely breathtaking! The house and views were stunning, offering unparalleled privacy—it felt like our own slice of paradise, often surrounded by magical clouds. Christian was an incredible host, helping us plan months in advance with thoughtful recommendations and support throughout our stay. His colleague, Michael, met us at the road to guide us up the last stretch. The 4x4 drive was adventurous, especially after heavy rain, but quickly became fun with incredible views around every corner. For locals, it’s just another road—you’ll be fine! Christian arranged massages for our family and a private chef for a special dinner. Both experiences were unforgettable—the massages were so relaxing, and the dinner, especially the ceviche and lasagna, was exceptional! He also helped book excursions and coordinate payments in local currency, making everything effortless. This was one of the most beautiful and memorable stays I’ve ever had. Pura Vida!
