We loved Casa Luna, the house, the surroundings and above all, Janeth's service.

The house was clean, comfortable, and nice, and overall everything was great. We had a very good weekend. As a constructive comment, the only difficulty was communication regarding a late check-out request. We requested it well in advance on Saturday, but the confirmation came almost at the time of check-out on Sunday, when we had already had to make arrangements to leave the house on time. I think a quicker response at that point would have made the experience even better.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Luna in Santa Teresa. The house is absolutely beautiful with incredible ocean views — the sunsets from the property were unreal and even better than the photos. The location is perfect: close to town, surf, and great restaurants while still feeling private and peaceful. The property is very well maintained and the pool and outdoor spaces were a highlight. The house was kept spotless during our stay and the daily housekeeping made everything feel really comfortable and easy. Pat and the team were fantastic hosts — extremely responsive and quick to help whenever we needed anything. If anything came up, they addressed it right away and made sure everything was taken care of. Check-in was smooth and communication throughout the stay was great.

This was our first time visiting Costa Rica, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. The house was absolutely beautiful, and the views of the sunset were unreal - the pictures truly do not do it justice. Everything was super close to town, which made getting around so easy. Max personally welcomed us at the house. The housekeeper was incredibly kind, and the house was always spotless. The home itself felt very warm and homey, which made it easy to relax and feel comfortable. The only downside was that there was construction happening at the house to build a gate, which we were not aware of beforehand. It was pretty disruptive and noisy at times. However, once we addressed it with the host, the issue was resolved quickly, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was an amazing stay, and we would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

Definitely I recommend this place, beyond expectations , the view is amazing! The place is awesome the architecture, the furniture, the pool ! đŸ€©

Host Response

Muchas gracias!! Siempre bienvenidos!! :)

We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Santa Teresa. Pat’s team met us during check in to make sure we were acquainted with the space before our stay. It was also kept clean daily by the onsite housekeeper who ensured we remained comfortable and the rooms clean. The location was amazing with a great view of the ocean that lined up perfectly with the sunset. The grounds were well maintained, the pool kept clean, kitchen taken care of, and we all felt right at home. Thanks Pat for a wonderful stay!

Host Response

Thank you so much Tyler! It was a great pleasure having you with us!!

The private entrance is cobblestone in excellent condition you don't need a 4x4 car, access is very easy. The property is beautiful, has the best view to the ocean and at the same time proximity to the most beautiful part of Playa Santa Teresa, where we had wonderful sunsets. The house is designed in a very practical and fresh way, it has beautiful gardens where we observe all kinds of birds, butterflies, squirrels... The room is very comfortable and with a spectacular view of the sea where you can observe the bursting of the waves, a great masterpiece of Vicky, she was very kind, she was always attentive so that our stay was satisfactory and we are very grateful to her, wishing to return soon.

The Airbnb itself was as described. I gave the rating that I did because of the poor communication. Upon arrival the electricity had been out for 2 days but no one informed us. In a lot of scenarios, this would not be a big deal, but in Costa Rica, where the nights are extremely hot (84°F), mosquitoes are rampant, and after you’ve been traveling all day to get there; it was kind of inconsiderate to not inform us of the electricity situation. The host did help accommodate us at an alternative location that had electricity, but this meant that we were only able to enjoy their home for about 2/3rds of our total stay. There is no description anywhere of how bad the roads are in order to get to the home, you will need a vehicle that can handle steep hills and very bad roads (atvs are fine) There was also no detail about how to access our room, a neighbor ended up assisting us. All showers were cold even with electricity. Little things added up. It’s beautiful and clean otherwise.
