3BR Villa in Manuel Antonio

Jim

Excellent, 2 weeks ago

Fantastic house, exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful week exploring the beaches, national park, local restaurants, and booked one day zip lining and one day whitewater rafting. The recommendations and support from Natasha, the concierge, were extra helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough.

We had a great stay at Katherine’s house. The location is excellent, about a 5–10 minute walk to the beach. We really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and had the chance to see monkeys and iguanas. One point future guests should note: the stove produced a yellow flame and left noticeable soot on the pans, which can indicate incomplete combustion. We reported this, and the host checked it while we were out and reassured us that everything was normal. We used it again with good ventilation and a lower flame without issues, but it may still be worth a closer check. The kitchen could be better equipped (for example, there were no sharp knives, wooden spoons or colander), and the swimming pool appeared larger in the pictures than it is in reality. Aside from these points, everything went smoothly and we enjoyed our stay.

A perfect stay in Manuel Antonio for our family of 6. Position is ideal - steep but manageable walk down to the Playitas beach (long golden beach, the most incredible sky at sunset, great fun to body board) or up the hill to town where there are amazing shops selling local crafts, souvineers and some delicious restaurants. Before you get to town, stop at Mango Moon for Happy Hour or a delicious Korean BBQ watching the sunset. The other direction is Biassanz beach - calm and secluded for snorkelling. Villa is huge and peaceful - stunning. Photos dont do it justice. Kitchen equipment is high quality to cook for yourselves and the furniture is beautiful and comfy. Possibly best of all, the stunning views- upstairs balcony for the canopy, watching sunrise with company from the monkeys and birds, or the middle balcony for frogs and lizards, and the pool area for dappled sunlight, a dip and visits from toucans, monkeys, Iguanas +more. Natasha was so amazingly helpful too. THANK YOU SAL Y SOL

Host Response

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and that you were comfortable!

Great location, walkable to both the beach and restaurants and shops (although you need to be in good shape due to steep hills). Property is clean, has a well equipped kitchen and large living room. The terrace and balcony are great for seeing monkeys and toucans. There is a main floor bedroom and separate bath. Upstairs there are 2 additional bedrooms with a shared bath between them (accessed from outside). Katherine was very responsive with any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend for couples or families with older children.

This place was wonderful. My dad visited La Fortuna the same week I came to manuel antonio and he paid hundreds to see animals while I just sat on the porch. The titi monkeys typically come around 4pm and the toucans show up around 10:30am. Highly recommend looking up their sounds so you'll know when they're outside. The best part about this place is the road it's on dead ends into a beach (a 2 minute drive down the hill) where you can park on the sand and it's quite literally paradise. Not sure if a 4x4 is required but I highly recommend it. The only complaints I have are the pool and grill being somewhat dirty, some of the lights didnt work, and the downstairs shower head is a bit wonky (this is being replaced) but overall these things weren't a big deal. This is a PRIME location and Tracy (Airbnb house manager) was super helpful. Amazing views are everywhere. The only thing that could beat it is a beach view from the Airbnb but don't think you can beat this place for the price
