5BR Villa in Tulum

Chandler

Excellent, 1 year ago

Our host Christy was fantastic! So responsive and helpful. Mari and the whole staff onsite were wonderful. The house and pool were always clean, and we felt so safe and relaxed!

Villa Mirimar is located right after the check-in gate by the National Guards, within a 30-minute walking distance to the Mayan Ruins, next door to Casa Maria and Mezzanine (which serves very tasty Thai food and is a 5-star hotel). However, we would not rebook Villa Mirimar due to the following reasons: 1. A mildew smell in all 5 rooms, including the kitchen cabinets. 2. An outdated and small kitchen. 3. The bedsheets had a low thread count and the mattress wasn’t pillow-top; we expected a more luxurious finish for the amount of money we paid. We made a dinner reservation at Casa Banana but changed our minds last minute because Bernardo, the host, recommended ARCA. It ended up being a waste of time and money. We spent over $1,700 for 8 people, and the food and service were terrible. I would go back to Tulum but would stay in the Hotel Zone where restaurants, shops, and bars are within walking distance.

Beautiful Villa, it has everything in it, you name it you got it. Host is always available, attentive, helpful with planning the trip and arranging stuff like make reservations, taxi, recommendations on places to go and do. Highly recommend the chef services, Barbara food is out of world. There is a lady and a guy who stays in the property to take care of anything we need - they kept the place spotless all the time. We loved staying at the villa and we will come back again

The place was great. Your own private compound in the jungle with amazing ocean views, private pool, and rooftop terrace. The real value though was the on-site staff. Very helpful with arranging transportation, and with anything we needed throughout our stay. Luis was always available anytime we had a request, from arranging taxis, getting us bug spray for the mosquitoes, to getting us groceries and making meals, guacamole, margaritas, etc. Fantastic service. Couldn’t recommend more. Pro tip: use the staff for Taxis. It’s Tulum, so you get fleeced right and left, but never by the taxis our staff called for us. Just get the number of the drivers they call and text them later on if you need a ride while on the town. Luis called us a driver, Sylvia, whom we used the rest of the stay. She was fantastic, stayed with us the entire day, and charged off a rate sheet rather than making it up like most of the other taxis.

We had an absolutely unreal stay at Villa Miramar! It was even more stunning in person. It was the perfect set up for multiple couples, as each room has a private entrance and their own bathrooms. The views are absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect - quiet and tucked away, but walking distance to several great restaurants and a short drive or bike ride to the ruins and Tulum Beach. Having the hotel/beach bar next door was very convenient. Our host was so communicative and helpful before and during the trip. The staff was wonderful - we had coffee ready for us every morning and the place was kept spotless (and not by us!) - we felt so spoiled. Also highly recommend using their chef - the food was delicious. All of us agreed that this was among our favorite places we have ever stayed and we did not want to leave! Can't wait to go back. Highest recommendations!
