What a view! Great place to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery!

We had a great time at Brian's Airbnb. It is a very secluded Airbnb up in the mountains and he is not getting it when he says that you need a four-wheel drive car to get up there. The private secluded pool was a really big deal for us specifically and it did not disappoint at all. It was so much fun. We pretty much use it every single day. Watching the sunrise and the sunset in this Airbnb was making us feel like we were in an actual movie. Would definitely come back and would recommend to anybody

Bryan’s place was amazing! Everything was exactly as described and exceeded our expectations. The views from the house are spectacular. The sunsets and mornings were absolutely breathtaking—there are no words to truly describe them. Bryan was always responsive, helpful, and friendly throughout our stay. The road leading to the house is a little bumpy, but it is completely worth the drive once you arrive. My family and I enjoyed every minute of our stay and would gladly return. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful and memorable getaway!

We absolutely loved our stay here. We switched last minute from staying in Playa Flamingo at the Margaritaville Resort to here, and we could not have been more thrilled that we did the moment we walked in the door! This place is breathtaking, and I can’t imagine the sunsets could possibly be better anywhere else. Very clean, extremely responsive host, and a true gem. The drive to get up to the house is a little bumpy, but it’s all part of the experience! We did not feel like we were “too far” by staying out here. Just a little 10 min drive down the mountain to town (we learned everything is a little drive in Costa Rica because of the roads/speed limits so Pura Vida!!). Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone from honeymooners to families!

Host Response

That is a very sweet review. Thank you Morgan and I hope to see you again. 😊

The house is great Unfortunately, check-in is too late, and I found check-out at 10:00 a.m. to be a complete abuse; most hotels or Airbnb listings have a minimum check-out time of noon. Also, considering that they even ask you to take out the trash. Given the price and the size of the house, I don't think it's acceptable to say it's to give the maid time to clean. The fee should cover at least two people for such a large house, because in the end, it's the user who is affected.

We just returned home from our trip to Casa Vela and it was outstanding. We had three adult couples and the space was great, not too big, not too small, just right! Bryan was very accommodating and informative. We had a need of some kitchen towels and they were there next day. Bryan recommended Sandra for massage and she was great! She brought an assistant and we had three couples massage while the others enjoyed the pool. We met Carlos the groundskeeper and he was super friendly and nice. The road to get up to the house is pretty rough but slow and steady wins every time, 2wd was fine. THE SUNSETS OMG! Perfect views of the clouds and colors putting on a daily show. We look forward to returning!

We stayed here for one night and overall had a wonderful experience. The view is absolutely stunning even better in person and my mom truly loved waking up to it. The home is beautiful, very private, and the pool is spacious and perfect for relaxing. We made a great breakfast in the morning and really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The host was excellent extremely responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with. We had to adjust one of our dates and he handled everything quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated. The home is a bit tucked away, so a 4x4 vehicle is definitely necessary. The roads are somewhat rough, and it’s about 10–15 minutes to reach the main road where the markets and restaurants are located. For us, it made it feel very private and serene, which was lovely for a short stay. If you’re a large family looking to settle in and fully enjoy the property, it’s a great fit. For just two people like my mom and me, just a day or two was fine.

Beautiful Airbnb in a perfect location. Sunsets were incredible. Only issue during our trip was coming back to the Airbnb after dinner at 7:00pm and discovering 2 men in the backyard in the dark. When we first pulled up we noticed the 2 dirt bikes outside which was instantly alarming because the neighbors are pretty spread out and anyone parked there would be for our Airbnb. I kept my family in the car to go in and see if there were intruders. Seen the men in the backyard using a cellphone as a flashlight. I opened the back sliding glass door to confront them. It ended up being the landscaper/pool keeper. I don’t speak Spanish so it took a bit to figure the situation out. I did not read part of the instructions that Carlos (the landscaper) comes Wednesday afternoons so I had no idea who Carlos was. It was the time of night that was the most alarming to me the most. I expressed my concerns and Bryan sent me the part of the instructions I missed and said I was informed. He did apologize.
