5BR Villa in Playa Grande

Absolutely gorgeous spot! Our family of 8 stayed here and it matched the description to a “T”! Every guest had their own bathroom in their bedrooms. Spacious enough for privacy, yet the layout was so open and conducive for family togetherness. The view is absolutely breathtaking, the house and outside are squeaky clean, the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed, easy to access laundry room, and beautiful backyard with fully working grill. The home is VERY remote, so 4 wheel drive is an absolute necessity. Nicole (host) was the most gracious host with very quick responses and extremely helpful directions to restaurants and grocery stores. One of the best experiences!

The best stay! The view was incredible and the host was very responsive to questions and recommendations. The chef was AMAZING and always honored request and accommodations for meals. The house is far up on the hill so you’ll need a car or transportation (can be $) to get to the beach or visit other areas in the region. Host gave us a contact for a great driver and connected us with a fishing charter as well. Highly recommend!

The view was breathtaking! Nicole was very responsive to any questions. The house is beautiful. It’s remote but had grocery store was within 35 min. It had plenty of space for our large group. It had well equipped kitchen. I’m going to try to stay positive because overall the house was great. However, huge room for improvement. As we started to settle in we noticed a nasty smell from the garbage of food waste that is saved for feeding pigs. It could have been removed before we got there. Tiny ants all over the countertops and floors throughout the kitchen. Food on floors, cupboard doors and handles. Within a couple hours we killed a tarantula and a scorpion which we were warned could be in the area as you’re staying in a jungle. We bought ant traps and sprayed two cans of bug spray to take care of the bugs. There was blood left on one of the comforters. The bathrooms had hair and dirt in the corners. The pool lights never worked.

I can’t say enough of how great this house was! The house was spotless and private. The host was wonderful as well. Nico was very responsive in communication and very accommodating. She gave us great recommendations to go on a hike, waterfall and tubing. She was also able to arrange for us to get massages, which was one of the best that I had ever had. The transportation was all arranged and was very helpful. Get the chef service! The food was incredible! Overall, our stay was great!! Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: Nicole was nice Million dollar view Diamante adventure park is awesome Great local beaches not too far Nicole put up a Christmas tree for us Cons: The dirtiest AirBnb we’ve ever stayed at black stains covered the white cushions outside. We ended up cleaning glass patio tables (x3) before other guests arrived, 2 looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Kitchen cabinets and appliances covered in a layer of dirt and grime. All pots and pans horrible - falling apart. They’re in desperate need of replacing. Not too bad, but had a weird check out experience. Check out was at 11. We informed the team we would likely be leaving at 9:30 but a group 4 rolled in at 8:30 as we were trying to finalize packing up and getting three families loaded in three cars. It really made doing final checks for anything left behind, getting organized and saying goodbyes more difficult with the other people in the house. I have never experienced anything like it.

Beautiful home with great views and large backyard! Comfortably housed our group of 8. The infinity edge pool was a huge plus. Our host Nicole was very nice and accommodating. The only constructive things to say is the house could have used a deep clean and some upgrades are overdue, the exterior enterntainment area near the BBQ looked pretty uninviting/dirty, there were stains in the bathroom ceiling from moisture, the gym had a pile of miscellaneous stuff in the corner, the bathroom mirrors were worn and could use replacement. Not a deal breaker by any means but definitely something to improve on, especially at this price point. Still would recommend this place as it checked most of the boxes!

Hacienda Diamante was absolutely amazing! The house had so much space and was the perfect size for our group. The view was breathtaking — truly something photos can’t capture. The food, the accommodations, everything was a 10/10. Check-in and check-out were completely seamless, which made our stay even better. We were fully aware of the isolation of the road and how steep the hill was, but it was not a negative factor at all. We rented a recommended vehicle, and it had zero issues going up or down. As long as you have the right vehicle, it’s completely manageable and absolutely worth it for the view and privacy. We will definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend this beautiful home for anyone wanting a memorable and relaxing stay in Costa Rica! 🌴✨

This place is amazing! so beautiful, indoor and outdoor living space was incredible, we had an amazing time. It was 15 of us and we had plenty of space. The host very responsive. Just a few things to keep in mind if you decide to rent this beautiful home, there is no access to a washer or dryer so we had to pack wet swimsuits, also no condiments left only salt, and no coffee filters which is a little odd since not all coffee maker are the same. But other then those little minor inconveniences, i would definitely recommend.

The house was BEAUTIFUL! Nicole and Gina were amazing hosts, they provided us with delicious meals and gave us recommendations of things to do. Definitely suggest getting a car with 4WD to get to the house. Most of the road is paved but it is very steep! The beach is about a 10 minute drive. Anything else, expect to drive an hour to 1.5 (if you’re doing any hiking or going to Tamarindo) The views are surreal. We had a group of 22 people and everything worked out smoothly.

Absolutely gorgeous house overlooking the bay and (driving) minutes to multiple beaches and the Diamante Eco Park. You're sitting on top of a beautiful mountain alone and get to enjoy the peace and serenity. Nicole is a fantastic host, helped with grocery runs and coordinated with the cook that came with the property. Highly recommend the house, using grocery service (you're pretty remote), cook and renting a 4x4 due to the very steep hill up to the property. Would come back and definitely recommend!

Wow!! This was my fourth trip to Costa Rica and what really stood out about this place compared to others I’ve stayed was the amazing view and serene location. We traveled with a group of 14 including 8 kids ranging from 5-14. I was a little skeptical based on description and reviews of it being a remote location. But it was perfect for our group. We were able to do some of the best zip lining in the country right in our front yard, 5 minutes drive to get in a boat for deep sea fishing and just one hour for a day trip to Tamarindo if you want to surf, shop, dine out etc. We were even able to book spa treatments at the house. Nicole and her staff make meals a breeze and she can book anything you want to do within minutes. Highly recommended!!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ PS. We rented one car for flexibility and booked a shuttle when necessary. We found that driving in the area was not difficult and would recommend having a car.

I recently stayed at this Airbnb and wanted to share some insights for future guests. First, be aware of hidden costs. You’ll need to pay for groceries daily, not just a one-time $100 fee, and you’ll be charged for all staff members for the entire 7 days, even if they only come once. Be prepared for potential power outages by bringing flashlights, as you may not have cell service if this happens. We lost water twice and power once during our stay. I recommend hiring a chef rather than just the cook—it’s worth the extra expense for better quality meals. Speaking of food, be extremely specific with your grocery requests, including the exact quantity and delivery timing, to avoid confusion. The location is beautiful but remote. Everything is far away, so this is best suited for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway. You’ll also hear plenty of nighttime noises, which might be unsettling if you’re not used to it. Despite the inconveniences it was nice but it definitely could be better.
