3BR Luxury Villa in Tamarindo

Stéphanie

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

Loved our stay. The place is just magical. Waking up in front of the horses and being able to feed them is a unique experience that makes the stay even more special. The space is very clean, well-appointed, and the outside area with the pool is a real favorite. The rooms are cozy. Contrary to what some reviews suggest, the road is rather simple. With children, the most suitable beach nearby is Playa Avellanas. It's still beautiful, but the waves can be quite strong. There are few services on site, only a few excellent restaurants. We didn't enjoy swimming there as much, especially with a one-and-a-half-year-old child. So we spent a day in Tamarindo, about 30 minutes away. It was perfect.

I cannot praise Isabelle and her team enough. The house was amazing. The communication was exceptional. Isabelle sent so many helpful tips and suggestions while we were there. The house was so cute. Beautifully designed inside. We loved it! The surroundings were lovely too. So nice to wake up to the birds and the horses. Our kids did a lesson and beach tour with Isa and Jesus. They absolutely loved it. It was a definite highlight of their holiday. The beach was within walking distance and it was gorgeous. Hardly anybody else was there and the waves were fun on the body boards. We stayed for 4 nights but we could have easily stayed longer. I would HIGHLY recommend Isa’s place. I hope that we will be able to return and soak in the peacefulness and calmness. It is absolutely Shambala by name and Shambala by nature. Massive thank you to Isa and all of the team ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Finca Shambalah - I visited with my husband and 3 kids, 9, 8, and 3.5yo. They loved the pool and feeding the horses treats daily, and all 3 had a horse back riding lesson which they helped us arrange. We had a delicious dinner cooked by a fantastic local chef, and took surf lessons on the Playa Avellanas beach. The town is lovely - roads are a bit tough to navigate in this part of CR, so you need 4-wheel drive and would definitely rent a car. We loved exploring beaches nearby - Jesus even connected us to a wildlife conservation group who tipped us off to sea turtles beaching to lay eggs an hour away, which was a once in a lifetime experience. We hope to come back! Amazing place for an adventurous family vacation, couldn’t have done anything better.

We stayed for 5 nights at Fincas Shambalah. Everything was perfect! Jesus, the person who looks after the property, is very friendly and welcoming. We went on a horseback ride with our two boys, aged 4 and 8; it was very enjoyable and well organized. As for the house, it was just beautiful!! Well-equipped, clean, enough towels. We would definitely stay at this house again if we come to this area. As for the area, we found it to be very quiet, unspoiled, and relaxing. On the other hand, it lacked some of the activities you can find in the south and center of the country (green national parks, animals, waterfalls, etc., which are more to our liking), but we wanted to visit Guanacaste knowing that we were at the end of the dry season (this is not our first stay in Costa Rica). On the other hand, it’s an ideal area for surfing! In short, we would 100% recommend the house!!!

Wow we absolutely loved our stay here at Casa Sol y Luna! What a beautiful and unique property. Isabelle, Jesus and Cami were just wonderful hosts and the home had everything we needed. Coming from a big city, this location felt quite remote to us, no paved roads around, but it just felt so magical and adventurous being in this part of Costa Rica, the road less traveled! The beds were comfy, the pool was perfect for our 4 young boys, and the property grounds felt peaceful and secluded. Being around the horses was so special for all of us! Our boys loved feeding them, and the horse lessons were such a memorable experience for us. I felt plenty safe running around the unpaved roads almost every morning at sunrise, and the beaches nearby were our absolute favorite! Surf lessons and a sunset dinner right on the beach at Lola’s are a must! Surya’s market had some wonderful unique options too. Highly recommend this amazing home! Very grateful for our stay.

A little paradise for our first time in Costa Rica This was our first time in Costa Rica, and this house—our second place to stay on the trip—was a real favorite. The peacefulness, the beauty of the place, and the quality of the service far exceeded our expectations. The concept is perfect for families: our two daughters had a magical time, surrounded by nature, in a safe and inspiring environment. A huge thank you to Jesús for his impeccable work and exceptional service. Thanks to him, our stay was even more memorable. We're already planning our return. I would recommend this place without hesitation.
