My family and I had a fabulous stay! We had an incredible stay and wish we could have stayed longer than a few weeks! The home is in a beautifully maintained gated community (its feels like a resort). The home is large, immaculate, comfortable and well stocked. We loved the peacefulness of the location, the pool and waterfall on the property. Bird watching is great from the home also. No 4x4 required or scary roads - super easy for any vehicle to access. Fabian is super responsive, helpful and kind. He is a definitely a Superhost!! We hope to stay again!

Great month on site, the house is very well ventilated, no need for air conditioning in the room (even if there is one) in the evening we slept well. The house is very clean and no insects inside (which is rare in Costa Rica) not even ants. We recommend eyes closed.

My family absolutely loved this home and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The beds were very firm (which I like), AC worked great and each bedroom had one, kitchen had everything we needed to make our meals, and my kids loved the loft upstairs area to hangout. The yard and community were clean and beautifully landscaped. I felt comfortable letting my kids roam around by themselves. The pool is across the street (1 min walk) and the waterfall is about a 5 minute walk from the house. Thank you Fabian!

Our family of 3 stayed at Fabian’s place for a week and had a wonderful time! The house is clean and comfortable with great space for the whole family. The property itself is beautiful and the community amenities were basically private and surpassed expectations! Fabian and Douglas were both super responsive before and during our stay and the help we got from Douglas made our experience in Costa Rica so much better with his local knowledge, recommendations and all of the things he helped book for us- he even arranged to have massages by the waterfall one afternoon. It was a memorable experience and I would recommend this stay for anyone looking to visit!

Fantastic villa in a gated development right next to the communal pool which we pretty much had sole use of. Douglas was extremely helpful arranging local tours and guides etc. We definitely hope to return!

We stayed for a month and enjoyed every moment. All of the previous reviews are extremely accurate and were very helpful in planning our stay beforehand. Any minor housing issue that may arise is expeditiously dealt with by Fabian and Douglas. We felt well taken care of through having Douglas next door. We were blown away with the vast beauty of the property that the pictures and descriptions could never capture. The front gate literally took our breath away when we first drove in. The house is furnished with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the giant bathtub is awesome. We have two small children (age 3 and 5 months), and Fabian went above and beyond to purchase a brand new playpen for our stay. We used the loft space for a full time office and it was quite magical at night when the rainforest came alive, with all the symphony. The pool is perfectly well kept and is rarely used. Again, the pictures and descriptions did not prepare us for how amazing the waterfall is. The whole property is pristinely kept (there are 3 full time gardeners on-site). The property feels pleasantly remote, but is only a 12 minute drive to a hospital and a 4 minute drive to a small local supermarket. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for hosting us Fabian!

Great place to stay in Coronado. Quiet with a lovely waterfall on the property. Had everything we needed and fast internet service. Fabian was a fast communicator and Douglas was so very helpful with anything we needed. Great team! Lots of roads for walking and a large pool for those hot afternoons. The yoga deck is perfectly shaded. We saw capuchin monkeys, toucans, parrots, iguanas, and a myriad of butterflies. The neighbors were all very nice. Would definitely return!

A place with beautiful and spacious green areas, where one can get distracted and disconnect. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and the atmosphere is quiet. The service from the host and the manager was excellent, always attentive, helpful and very friendly.

This house is located in a lovely gated community with well maintained grounds. The house is a short walk to the swimming pool. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The home itself has spacious bedrooms and living areas with a kitchen perfect for cooking your meals. The home is cozy with tasteful decor. The waterfall is worth the 3 minute walk. Along the way you will see incredible plants and animals. Fabian and Douglas are very helpful and friendly hosts. They helped us navigate the ins and outs of traveling. You can't go wrong staying in this home. Enjoy!

The area where the house is located is beautiful! We enjoyed the pool almost everyday. The pool is big and hardly anyone is ever there. It has a beach area so we really liked that for our kids. The gated community is very safe. We stayed here for over a month and never felt unsafe at all. We ended up eating out a little more than we wanted to because there were some kitchen items missing such as grill tools and a few other kitchen basics. The overall cleanliness of the house was good however there were a few places that could have used some extra attention like dust on the light fixtures above the kitchen table and beds. Also, the shower drain was clogged with hair when we arrived that I removed myself to get the shower to actually drain. Cleaning supplies were also mislabeled. We had an incident were we tried to use a spray bottle of Oxy on some clothes and it ended up bleaching/ruining them. It turns out that it wasn’t Oxy in the bottle but instead it was bleach. It had not been labeled bleach. When we first arrived we didn’t have hot water for 5 days which made it a little difficult to give our kids baths. I understand that those things happen but I had to keep asking for updates and keep having them come back after they said it was “fixed”. Like I said, not a big deal if they had to come back a couple times but, it was 5 days. Overall it’s a beautiful part of the country and it was a good place to stay.

Casa Serenidad is amazing! Upon arriving, we were taken aback by how beautiful the property is. It was delightful to have waterfalls nearby and such a great neighbor! We also appreciated the timely answers to all of our questions during our stay. A true 5 star experience!!!

This place is magical! We just left and miss it already. Fabian and Doug went way and above to make sure our stay was lovely. The house is super well equipped; we organized a family holiday and had a number of people who were working remotely during the day. All were able to have good wifi for calls and there were plenty of desk spaces to work from. The grounds of the property are also magical. The waterfall/swimming hole is lovely and doing yoga from the deck before starting work was just amazing! Can't wait to go back.

We had the best trip of a lifetime at Casa Serenidad. We stayed an entire month and absolutely fell in love with the areas of Ojochal, Uvita and Dominical. We immersed ourselves and our 3 year old son and 6 year old daughter in the beautiful Pura Vida culture. Fabian & Ellen, and Douglas- local concierge, were absolutely awesome with recommendations and prompt, courteous communication. Our kids loved the house, private waterfall on property, and especially the pool. The entire property is extremely well maintained and the landscaping is gorgeous. The highlight of my trip was befriending a local yoga teacher, Carol, and her family. She would come to Casa Serenidad a few times a week to teach me and my children yoga on the yoga stage. Carol taught us mindfulness and how to connect to our bodies and Mother Nature through yoga poses, breathing, and just being a good person. She was wonderful! Douglas can connect you with Carol to set up private lessons. The restaurants and sodas (restaurants in the front of people’s homes that serve delicious typical Costa Rican dishes) were amazing. We learned very quickly that Costa Rica was more expensive than we thought. We were spending a lot of money at the big chain local grocery store, BM. During our third week, I learned to shop local at the carniceria (meat market), and buy fruits & veggies from the farmers with stands on the sides of 34 (the highway that runs along the coast). The fruit in Costa Rica is the best in the world. My husband and I loved eating a fresh, clean, locally sourced diet while we were there. We were able to prepare delicious meals in the kitchen at the house. Be prepared to purchase spices, cooking oil, coffee filters, salt/pepper, laundry detergent, etc. Fabian & Ellen have put together a wonderful book with activity recommendations, excursion options, and restaurants to check out. Their hospitality and super cool home made our trip excellent. We recommend booking at their casa, and we can’t wait to return.
