We had a great stay at Carl & Mariana‘s house, all communication was clear and super friendly - we warmly recommend their house to anyone looking for an amazing experience!

Just spent a most memorable week on Isla Blanca with our family of 10 adults and 6 children (age range 23 months to 73 years) While we had a bit of a glitch with power outages and air conditioning loss on the first might, Carl and Mariana were quick to get the issue resolved and the rest of the week was perfect! We all enjoyed the pool and patio area every day and the kids loved the smoothie breaks provided by Vicky and Victor. The meals Vicky and her staff provided were delicious, we were all big fans of her meals and sauces. The villa is a bit remote so bare this in mind if you are looking to do any tours. All in all we had a week full of precious family moments that we will never forget! Thank you Carl, Mariana and staff.

Carl and Mariana are hands-down. The best that I have ever worked with and we travel a lot. Doing a destination wedding in a foreign location can cause some serious anxiety. Working with Carl and Mariana was pleasure with every contact and they were so detail oriented to make sure that we got everything we wanted, just spectacular! They worked so hard to set up transportation and their staff at the location we’re embarrassingly attentive, we’re just not used to that kind of attention! All locally sourced foods and refreshments. All flawlessly set up by Carl and Marianna. Their attention to detail was beyond my expectations. Arrangements and setup for the wedding itself flowers to cake and surf & turf, once again all locally sourced was delicious and was so beautiful! They presented us options on everything, arch, lighting, music, photographer & dinner. This large residence was full and everyone remarked on what a fabulous experience this was. We had a great week here! Our group included 10 adults and 4 kids under the age of 4. Carl and Mariana were extremely responsive, proactive, and helpful. Everything we ate was fresh & delicious! We especially enjoyed Vicky’s surf and turf, shrimp ceviche, tacos, taquitos, salsa verde enchiladas and guacamole. All of the drinks were great too! The bedrooms are very basic and simple but clean. We hardly spent time in the rooms though because the outdoor area was exquisite! The outdoor space especially was comfortable and large enough for all of us to spread out while still getting views of the ocean and hearing the sound of the waves from anywhere. We had both clouds/ rain and sunshine throughout our stay and were still able to enjoy the outdoor space regardless of the weather. The staff was very kind and accommodating to anything we asked for! The beach was very accessible and felt private. We preferred this high quality food & personalized experience to resorts we’ve visited in Cancun!

Can’t wait to go back!! This was our first Mexico trip as a whole family & I was a little nervous about finding a spot to accommodate our party of 14 (ages 52 to 1.5 yrs), but after reading so may good reviews we went for it & it really was a dream vacation for us! Carl & Mariana are friendly, kind, responsive & helpful. They arranged every ride for us & used a fantastic driving service with friendly, kind, VERY reliable & safe drivers. They did the grocery shopping for us, arranged for a mariachi band to play for us, for poolside massages, & they very clearly communicated total expenses & broke down what cash we’d need on hand for services rendered there. They gave me receipts for everything & refunded the money that they didn’t end up spending. Vicky is a dream chef! Everything she made was a hit. (I know other reviewers mentioned the food was fantastic & it really is!) Victor & Celia are also wonderful & are just as kind & hard working - we love them all. Thank you, everybody!! <3

I literally cannot express how amazing my birthday was because of the amazing hosts and the staff! I had a group of 14 for my birthday and everyone was ranting and raving over the food and service! We were trying to figure out a way to sneak the delicious meals into our luggage haha!! The home was great! Spacious, plenty of room for all of us, beautiful pool and patio and the view was so beautiful! Extremely responsive, proactive, communicative and just outright nice people! I would totally recommend it to anyone!!! Can’t wait to come back!

The only complaint I have is that the hot tub in the photos is not actually a hot tub. It’s just a small jetted pool. For some this may not matter but I really enjoy drinks in a hot tub at night so it was disappointing. Everything else was amazing. The staff knows how to make a great margarita and the food was delicious. We had such a great family trip here, being right on the beach was amazing and that outdoor poolside space was perfect for hanging out, playing cards, napping :-) highly recommend.

So hard to put in words how much we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. From the responsive and open communication before our trip all the way thru after check out, our vacation was top notch. My family of 11 had plenty of room. We spent most of our time outside by the pool or enjoying the beach that is steps away. Sunrise to sunset, the view was amazing. The service from Vicky, Victor and Anna(may have her name wrong) was so appreciated. Food was amazing from breakfast, lunch, dinner and midday snacks at the pool. Victor and Vicky never complained about accommodating all of the young kids! We enjoyed a recommendation to visit Elvira cenote. Vicky put together 2 coolers for us to have lunch, snacks and drinks available. Even making a jug of margarita to take with us! Top notch- thank you to your whole team for giving me and my family such an enjoyable holiday!

I can’t begin to describe how amazing our stay was. The house itself was gorgeous and clean, and the pool and immediate ocean access were heavenly. The staff were so attentive to any and all of our needs, bringing us poolside snacks and drinks and cooking absolutely delicious meals. We went on a boat cruise and they packed us a cooler full of drinks and lunch and snacks to take! A group of 11 of us stayed for 5 nights and everyone was thrilled that each bedroom had a bathroom AND and ocean view balcony. We felt very safe as there was security on site 24/7. The cabana/pergola by the pool offered nice shade during the day but also a nice sitting area to hang out in the evenings. There’s not one thing we would have changed about our stay and cannot thank Marianna, Carl, Vicky, Victor and Judith (sp?) enough !!! Absolutely will be returning in the future.

This is an amazing property with a beautiful pool, right on the water with a gorgeous beach to walk along, and a lovely, attentive staff who cooked us delicious meals and cocktails throughout the weekend. Our group of 16 (a bachelorette party) fit very comfortably in this space - the bedrooms are large and each have their own bathroom. Carl & Mariana were very communicative and helpful throughout our stay, and organized transportation for us to and from the airport, and to go on a catamaran. We had a Mariachi band come one night which was very fun. There were occasional difficulties with the transportation (once the taxi company did not send enough cars) but we were able to sort this out, and the somewhat remote location of this property is worth it as it was so private and spacious. I would definitely return and highly recommend staying here without any hesitation!

We are just returning from an incredible stay at this villa hosted by Carl & Mariana. There were 8 of us having a middle-aged college reunion. The location is quite secluded, only a handful of year-around residents on this long "spit", so very peaceful. The property itself and beachfront are out of this world. Carl & Mariana were extraordinary hosts, and the chef (Vicki) and her staff served up simply phenomenal dishes & drinks (strongly recommend availing yourselves of this service if you book here!). If you are looking for a place with restaurants or nightlife within walking distance, this is definitely not it. But Carl & Mariana were helpful with getting us cabs when needed or otherwise arranging transport (e.g. to a nearby tennis center) and because they live quite close are very responsive. The pool, beach and views were nothing short of heavenly. PS -Note there is no washing machine (so pack accordingly), but we were there for short enough of a time that this was not a big deal.

It was a pleasure staying en la casa de tortugas. The team at the house were incredibly respectful, communicated clearly throughout our stay. The team - Vickie, Victor, Judith and Liberato were so nice to everyone. Food was always amazing and always on time. The home was beautiful, pool and beach were just spectacular. We would definitely love to return and enjoy this beautiful home once again.

We stayed with a group of 12 over New Year’s where the goal was to relax and do nothing, and this house was perfect for that. The outdoor space was amazing - the pool and private beach were perfection and there was plenty of space for all of us. The inside of the house was comfortable as well, but honestly all of our time was spent outside. The highlight of course was the amazing service by Vicky, Victor and Mari. The meals were out of this world, and the team was there to help with anything we needed. Carl and Mariana set up airport transfers and a day trip to Chichén Itza, so no need to worry about figuring things out on your own. The road to get there is an adventure - the last 20 minutes feel like Indiana Jones but once you get there, it’s worth it. Thank you for a great stay - we can’t wait to stay here again!
