Our family of 4 had the pleasure of staying at the house recently. It was like our own private tropical oasis! The photos honestly do not do this place justice. We have stayed in multiple houses throughout Hacienda Pinilla over the last 6 years and this house takes the cake. Rick was a great host and so responsive to any questions we had during our stay. We are will be back for sure.

Our family had a great stay at Plumeria Guest House. Traveled with my wife and two college age sons. Rick and Andrea are great hosts and provided amazing recommendations for dining and activities. They went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. The house is set perfectly. Very much private and part of nature, but still on the beach and less than 30 minutes from Tamarindo. We were even visited everyday by a family of howler monkeys. We loved hanging out at the pool and enjoying the poolside dining at the Beach Club which is just a short walk from the house. I highly recommend Plumeria Guest House and would definitely return in the future.

We went to Rick‘s house at the end of our trip in Costa Rica and it was wonderful. Peaceful. Beautiful nature. Clean, cozy home. Flora. Fauna. Rick and Andrea were warm and welcoming and very informative. The pool area is second to none. The hosts have gone to great lengths to fit the beautifully designed home into the environment and create an immersive experience where you may be able to swim in the pool while birds fly just overhead and monkeys lounge in the lofty trees. The beach (which is right there!) and short walk to Lola’s are not to be missed. Private, gorgeous sunsets, …wow! Andrea designed unforgettable experiences. Highly recommend this home, the hosts, and Avellanas.

We had a fantastic stay at the Plumeria. The house was perfect and the garden and surroundings were far above expectations. Rick was a very nice host and we really felt at home.

My family and I had a lot of fun at Rick's place. He has tons of recommendations and is super friendly. The place is gorgeous and spacious. The pool is to-die-for. It's a great place for a family, or a group of friends. I highly recommend!

We stayed here as a family with our two young boys. This is a really special place. 1 min walk to a spectacular private beach. 5 min walk up the beach to the beach club and gym. Beautiful private pool. Clean and warm accommodations. Plus Rick and Andrea are amazing hosts and have the best recommendations. 10/10.

We had a wonderful stay. Great recommendations for food, surf lessons and more options provided but the home and pool is so beautiful we spent a lot of time just relaxing in the beauty and enjoying the wildlife.

This home is very unique and equally special. Beautiful construction and well-laid out rooms, comfortable beds, and interior/exterior lounge areas. Beautifully landscaped with a gorgeous private pool. Rick is everything one would hope for in a host. His wife offers a wide range of wonderful adventures, restaurant recommendations and all the guidance you need to make your vacation extra special. The “five minute walk” away beach is incredible too. this is a Gated community so it feels safe and private.

We love our stay at Rock and Andrea, who are wonderful hosts. The accommodation is stunning and pool and natural beauty outside is magical. We would highly recommend this magnificent spot.

Our family very much enjoyed our week at cada plumeria. When traveling with little kids (almost 3 years and almost 3 months) we value great places to stay as we spend more time at our lodging than we would otherwise. Casa plumeria was perfect for that purpose - beautiful home with a lush and tropical pool and the beach a quick walk away. The hosts are above and beyond what you typically expect from Airbnb hosts and provided not only a beautiful place to stay but valuable help in planning our trip.

We had a beautiful vacation at Plumeria Guest House. The location is unbeatable. The house felt spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. We could easily spend the day bouncing between the pool, stunning beach, playing in the estuary, jogging through paths in the neighbourhood, visiting the beach club, riding local horses...everything was easy. Ricky and Andrea struck a perfect balance as hosts. They have all of the solid recommendations if you want them and are so friendly but completely non-intrusive. We especially enjoyed the surf and boogie boards provided. We would book this again without hesitation.

Rick's home is incredible in every way- architecture, design, comfort, and location. Our entire family of four (kids 10 and 6 years old) enjoyed our stay. From beach walks to trips into Tamarindo to time at the local beach club, every minute was amazing. (Even during a rainy few days!). We also truly enjoyed meeting Rick and Andrea and learning about the area. Rick is a wonderful host and we looking forward to returning again in the future.

We had a great stay! Rick and Andrea were very accommodating and helped us find everything we needed for our baby. The house, garden, and pool were very beautiful as well as the views of the ocean.

One of the nicest Airbnbs I have stayed in. The kids loved the pool and the beach was right there.

The Plumeria Guest House is simply stunning! Rick was super friendly and helpful and the house is better than the pictures. The pool is just gorgeous and you can see and hear the ocean while relaxing there. The walk to Lola’s was fabulous! The beach access is fantastic! I would definitely stay here again!
