Maureen

I felt very comfortable with Maureen and her family. The place was very clean and was cleaned daily. The nice conversations in the evening were also great. The breakfast is very tasty, especially Maureen's bread! The pool provides a pleasant refreshment.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Breakfast was included and very hearty. Stay there for dinner!! You will not be disappointed. Pool was very nice to swim in. Great location to do everything around Rincon. Will recommend to my friends and stay again.

Maureen and Charlie have developed a very special spot. When you visit, ask about the history of their adventure. Lovely flora, pool is welcoming and refreshing after a day of hiking. We had dinner as well as breakfast, all delicious, the juice was worth the price of admission! It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers and compare travelling notes. We had mentioned to Maureen that we wanted to visit La Leona waterfall and she suggested the best time to visit and connected us with the local company and perfect guide for us. We found Casa Rural Aroma de Campo to be a truly wonderful, enchanting tropical place. The very well-maintained property is beautifully laid out on different levels, with colorful tropical plants and the lovely, refreshing natural pool. It comes highly recommended and is in a prime location for visiting not only the Rincón de la Vieja National Park, but also nearby waterfalls, with or without a guide, and for swimming. The large communal table in the terrace area for shared breakfast and dinner (you shouldn't miss those either!), as well as the numerous seating options, all provide the opportunity to spend a pleasant evening with other guests if you wish, or to relax by yourself or as a couple. The hosts are very helpful and laid-back at the same time. Pura vida! Our expectations were far exceeded.

We had a great time. We did the full day adventure tour at Hacienda Guachipelin which was a few kilometers past her place. Everything at Hacienda Guachipelin was very nice but overpriced so we are very happy we stayed with Maureen instead of them. She lives on the premises and is very easy to find and ask questions.

Everything is carefully done at the rural casa Aroma de Campo. The welcome is very warm. And the hosts gave us good advice on things to do in the area. Close to Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja (20 min to Las Pailas sector and 45 min to Santa Maria sector). The hostel is comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed the room with views of their beautiful grounds. The outdoor common areas, gardens, and pool are well appointed. And what about the delicious meals shared with people from all over the world. Thanks again to Maureen and Charlie and their whole team.

We enjoyed the Airbnb room very much. Especially the shared terrace, where we talked to the other guests from all over the world in the evening. Maureen also gave us great excursion tips. After checking in, we got another summary with all the tips and restaurant recommendations. The entire complex including natural pool was very well maintained. We would definitely come back!

Maureen's place was very worth it. The garden and atmosphere is beautiful and peaceful. We loved the dogs, the parrot, and the surrounding wild life. We had a 4x4 drive rental car which was super necessary in the area and getting to her place. There is parking available for cars without 4x4 drive, but going down the backgrounds nearby requires 4x4. There is lots to do nearby, and Maureen gives great recommendations. We did the Day Adventure Tour at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin, which was fantastic. The bed in our room was very firm and not super comfortable, but the entire stay was definitely worth the price. The breakfast each morning was delicious.

We really enjoyed Maureen's accommodation. Great peaceful location with a great garden, also the building and our room were very cosy. Breakfast is included and the option to have dinner is fantastic as well. The accommodation is close to Rincon de la Vieja and several waterfalls. During check in, we arrived a bit late in the evening and it was a bit unclear where we were supposed to go, but thankfully Maureen's son was able to welcome us warmly. Muchas gracias!

Warm welcome and simple, beautiful availability. The hosts speak several languages. Delicious rural meals. The environment was beautiful a little far for us who had no private transport but the bus goes directly to aroma de campo (2x per day)the national park is close to the host but still requires a taxi(a little expensive I admit) I highly recommend it

Host was great! Friendly and cozy place. I would def stay again. The water pressure in the shower can improve.

The place is especially quiet and secluded, perfect for resting. Maureen and Charlie treated us great and even made recommendations that made our trip better!!

The place has a very good location near the area's attractions. It has a family touch, the staff is friendly and friendly, I recommend it!
