Love the view, very spacious but the ac is in only one room the rest only has fans. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner it did not have any. Be prepared for some bat noises at night.

The views are stunning and the place met our expectations. It's nothing fancy, but for us that was just fine. Esmeralda brought us tamales which was very kind! We would have liked some better pots and pans to cook with. And we were a bit spooked by the animals that live between the ceiling and the roof. Still no idea what they were, but we heard them squeking and walking at night.

We choose this place for the location—and it did not disappoint! There were panoramic views all around, and we had a phenomenal view of the volcano. There was plenty of space to spread out, and we were a four minute drive to the Springs Resort, where we had day passes. We loved that part. The part we did not love so much was the overall lighting —we did not have a single solitary light or light bulb in the bedroom we chose, and there was no light in the kitchen: I wandered the home with a headlamp for the past two nights; and it really sucked. We did request a lamp, but the messages were crossed, and one did not arrive. it’s a shame; it’s a great place, and the price was cheap, but not having basic lighting was a bummer, and did detract from the experience—glad we didn’t try to cook dinner in the dark.

Large accommodation with beautiful views. Located 20 minutes from La Fortuna. Missing a few cooking utensils for an Airbnb. Good value for the money.

A beautiful home with a beautiful view! This home was well suited for our group of 8, the open floor plan living room and kitchen allows for great family style meals. the bedrooms were spacious and the wooden ornamentation in the home was beautiful. We were very lucky to have Esmeralda as our host and would recommend to any prospective travelers!

Esmeralda is an excellent host, friendly, and very timely in her responses. The place is cozy and has a wonderful view. A great place to spend a few days with the family.

The house is very cozy and has a very nice view of the Arenal volcano. You can enjoy it and it has enough space for a nice group of people. It is a bit far from shops and other things, so I recommend bringing everything you need to enjoy inside the house because there is not much nearby. As hosts they were very quick with their response and very friendly, even giving us ice that we did not have with us and the stores are far away. The only aspect to improve is the number of toilets, it only has 1 bathroom and for large groups it can be somewhat uncomfortable.

Great place for our family. 2 minute drive from the Hot Springs Resort where we spent 2 very nice evenings. The view of the volcano is stunning. The interior is very spacious. Highly recommended

Esmeralda's home was amazing for my family to stay in. We were greeted with views of Arenal Volcano 24/7. The location is about 15 min from La Fortuna (4 wheel drive is a must on Costa Rica roads), away from the hustle and bustle and city sounds, and her house is plotted on top of a hill with the best views, which we loved very much. Not only were the views and peacefulness amazing, Esmeralda is the best host I have every had! She is such a sweet lady who lives on the property, so whenever we needed something or had questions, she walked on over to answer questions and help us. She even made us breakfast one morning. Her grandson Daniel, helps out as well and has his own guiding company called Las Pastivas. We took one of his tours and he is amazing and very knowledgable on everything Costa Rican! Check him out as well for tours. If you are looking for a Tican local house experience, this is the house. We will stay here again when we come back to La Fortuna area.
