This is our second visit to Casa Escondida. We love the house and bring able to walk right out to the beach is great. The house is clean and comfortable. The communication was great and the check-in easy. We love the restaurants in the neighborhood and proximity to other beaches. Playa Grande is our favorite though. I hope we get to visit again soon!

Our family had a great stay at Casa Escondido.This is our second time staying in this house and it was just as good as out first stay. The proximity to the beach cannot be beat, the pool and outdoor space was incredible, and Kristi's attentiveness made vacation so relaxing for our family. We highly recommend this beautiful home to those looking to enjoy the beach and relax by the pool. Some of our favorite aspects of this house are the location and the amenities that this house offers. The location is perfect - steps away from the beautiful Playa Grande beach. Our family loved walking on the empty beach in the mornings and watching the sunset in the evenings. The property is within walking distance to a few different restaurants and a coffee shops which made eating out convenient for us. It is also within short driving distance to a few shops, more restaurants, and a bakery. This location is very quiet, with the majority of people being travelers and surfers.

This was a great stay for my family and infant. The location was easy to find, comfortable, and easily walkable to the beach. The beds are very comfortable and the AC works well. We didn’t use the pool or grill but they appeared clean.

This is our second time staying at Casa Escondido and I find it hard to leave. The house is beautiful, the location can’t be beat, it feels so peaceful, I could go on and on. This is hands down my family’s favorite vacation spot. We will come here and continue to make memories for years to come.

Not our first trip to Playa Grande, but absolutely our best trip. We loved the home. Don’t hesitate to book!

Amazing stay! Turned into a surfing vacation which was a pleasant surprise! Rented boards for the week down the road (walkable) and surfed everyday on the beach right in front of the house. Perfect location and neighborhood feel for our family of 5, with three teenagers there was never a shortage of activities! Next time we’ll stay longer, thank you for the wonderful stay!

This place was perfect for adults and children! The private pool and beach was secluded and quiet, just what we were looking for. We felt safe in Palm Beach Estates and the restaurants we went to were great! Thank you Kristi for all your help and suggestions!!

House had everything we needed, wonderful location for 4 adults and a child, Kristi is incredible, can’t wait to stay here again!!!

This place is paradise. Lovely home, exactly as described. We spent our time between the pool and our own private beach (1 minute to walk out to). And the restaurants were all within short walking distance with a fabulous fun local vibe. I cannot recommend this place enough! Hopefully the construction on the home next door will be done as we are thinking about coming back next year and this was the only complaint (so loud we couldn’t hear the ocean and 7 days a week).

We had the most wonderful stay. The beach access was perfect for our family as was the pool / outdoor kitchen set up, and the beach just out front was perfect for swimming and surfing. We walked into town, but it was helpful to have a car. Our host was so generous with recommendations for boating (ask for Jim) and surf instructor set up. The house was perfectly appointed and just so lovely. We would absolutely recommend to any friends and family looking to relax in the area.

The location of this house was perfect! Very short 30 second walk to the beach, we even had monkeys in the yard a couple days! The walk to the tamrindo river mouth is about 15 minutes. From there you can take a water taxi ($2) to Tamarindo. They don’t operate at night. Right in front of the house is a restaurant that had excellent food. There was another restaurant about a two minute walk from the house as well. Once you turn off the main road you are on a dirt road for about 10 minutes before you make it to the house. I highly recommend getting groceries from a larger market before getting to the house. Once you get there you are not Going to want to leave! Doug and Kristi are the house managers and they were very responsive on Whats app when we contacted them.

Wonderful place to stay. We felt the home has everything you can want in a beach front home. It was very clean and all the beds and furniture was super comfortable. Beach access is perfect for running back and forth to the house. I would recommend a tent shade canopy if you are going to do all day at the beach. Learning to surf was perfect at this beach. The pool and outdoor area is such a great addition to hang out in. El Huerto was a must for lunch or dinner. Excellent place we went twice. Don’t hesitate to book here.
