We spent a week here and loved the house and the area. The outdoor space is fabulous, lots of sitting areas. Got to see several birds, iguanas and listened to the monkeys! The host was extremely responsive and helpful to us the whole week. We would love to come back here again.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Jacqueline’s. Everything was as described and it made for a great base for our Guanacaste exploration.

We had a great stay at Casa Alegria. The house was very spacious and comfortable, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. The highlight for us was definitely the pool and outdoor areas—we spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful setting outside. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and we’d happily return.

We’ve just returned from our 18 day stay at Casa Allegria and we already want to go back! Jacqueline’s home was lovely and as described. Lots of space for 6 adults to spread out and be comfortable, have privacy. The kitchen was well stocked with all the essentials. The outdoor space was my favourite and the reason we chose it, it did not disappoint. Yes, as mentioned in other posts, there is some traffic noise but it didn’t bother us too much as we live on a highway and beside a train. The birds and howler monkeys were able to drown it out. Jacqueline was a super host who provided so much detail and reached out often ahead of the trip to answer any questions or offer suggestions. Equally, Nubia and Al, the managers were always available and helpful during our stay. We would definitely book again…maybe after the green season to see it more lush and have less smoke from fires in the area.

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

We had an incredible stay here. Super helpful information way in advance allowed us to plan out a few things and feel comfortable coming in to new surroundings. Communication was constant and very supportive. Such a perfect spot, not too far from things but felt extremely private and safe. We had a dinner come to us one evening from a local family that was a huge highlight of our trip. We enjoyed the Eco Diamante park (super close) and the little beach close to the Monkey Bar. We are already planning our next trip back. The pool was perfect for our kids, but do get up to the community pool the view is amazing and we saw a family of monkeys on the way up. Pura Vida!

From the booking to check-out, Jaqueline and her hosts were super helpful for local attractions, eateries and stores. She provides a booklet of information we found very helpful. The place is very large and would easily accommodate 3 couples with room to spread out. The patio, view and back-yard pool were just wonderful. The rooms are a good size and the stand-alone master bedroom is nice.

This is a truly great place. We wanted privacy because of a small baby. We did not expect to be on top of a hill overlooking a valley with no neighbours in sight. Excellent vista; excellent privacy (there is road noise, as others have commented. But the privacy trumps that issue.) This is easily the best equipped AirBNB of our experience (note: the supplies provided last about one week, after that you are on your own; no cleaning or replacement of supplies during our 13 day stay). The many, many kitchen gadgets were appreciated. When we asked about a crib for the baby, the owner went and got one. We are not used to that type of helpful support. The owner really engages with guests - she should be a super host. Easily the best handbook of any AirBNB we have visited; suggestions for tour guides. It made the trip both easy and rewarding. The wonderful pool became the epicentre of the visit; perfect temperature, great views and birds early morning and evening.

This was our second time at this location and it did not disappoint. The views here are amazing and the host are very responsive. They make every aspect of the check in smooth and they gave great recommendations on local place to see and eat. If we go back to Costa Rica we will def stay at this location for a third time. The location is nice and remote but still close enough to everything you might need. Thank you again!

The house was exactly as portrayed. We loved watching the wildlife on the property and saw the howler monkeys almost every day. Jacqueline and her managers were outstanding hosts. They provided a useful guide filled with recommendations.

Beautiful views, comfortable home, very communicative owner/hosts and great local suggestions. Absolutely loved the views from the bedroom patios & pool areas. Plenty of space for many to spend time outdoors or inside. I appreciated there being a cooler & ice packs for trips to the beach as well as reusable bags to get groceries. Highlight include shower with awesome acoustics for singing. Internet, Wi-Fi, shower/tiolet, sinks, washer/dryer, etc all worked well. Within a half hour drive of many popular beaches like Playa Flamingo and Playa Panama and our favorite Playa Penca. The only real notes of surprise (I may have missed them in the listing) would be even though you look out and only see trees, flora, fauna, animals, etc - there is road traffic noise (can’t hear inside the house but if you’re the type to sit outside meditating, etc and only want to hear nature noises). Also, definitely need a vehicle that isn’t low clearance for the dirt/gravel roads up to the house.

Couldn’t have asked for a better host or caretakers! Very responsive, and helpful. Jacqueline emails a 9 page guide after booking with info and great recommendations on the area. The Diamanté Adventure Park is less than 10 minutes away & is a must do! We had to cut our vacation short due to family reasons but hope to go back soon. Very relaxing private infinity pool as well as access to the breathtaking members pool. I highly recommend!! The neighborhood is not all paved and steep & roads in general aren’t great. Book a decent rental car. We had a Kona 4x4 worked out great. !

Our family of 6 fell in love with this home. The views are stunning, everything super clean, and we felt right at home. We saw howler monkey from our patio while enjoying our morning coffee. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the appliances, coffee filters, and basic spices. My sister got married at the RIU hotel which is a 5 minute drive away, at Matapalo beach. The neighborhood is very safe and the sunsets at the community pool is incredible. There are several Pulperias or mini markets close by that carry any basic food items you may need. Thanks for sharing your home with us, Jacqueline! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Jacqueline has a beautiful home! Right from the start, Jacqueline has been very helpful and fantastic to deal with. She provided us with a guide she has put together providing details for the house, things to see and do, where to get groceries, and restaurant recommendations. It was very helpful. And there is definitely lots to do and see! The house is in a great spot and seems very centrally located to take advantage of all there is to do in the area. Al & Nubia were on site to meet us and were also great to deal with. Very helpful and always responsive in a timely manner. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The house was clean and made for a very comfortable and pleasant stay. It has great indoor and outdoor living space. The bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. I would definitely recommend a 4x4 vehicle as there is some steep terrain in this area (which we had and didn’t have any issues). We had an amazing time here and would definitely rent again!
