2BR Home in Torio

Excellent, 1 year ago

wonderful house-man lives virtually outside and it is always very pleasant. many great restaurants nearby and beautiful beaches in the area! highly recommended!!

The place exceeded my expectations. It is a place of rest and very idyllic. The cooking area is open and has a high quality gas stove. In the morning you can hear local animals and at the same time the sea rushing in the distance. The beds are very comfortable and everything is stylishly designed and in very good condition. In the garden we were allowed to harvest a ripe pineapple and the rain shower in the outdoor area has warm water and is fantastically beautifully designed. In the trees we could see hummingbirds. Within walking distance is the sea and a waterfall for swimming. In the street are several restaurants, of which we were in two and ate well. The place was a highlight of our trip and communication with the hosts excellent! I 100% recommend it! Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The house is really special. It is completely open but the bedrooms are lockable. However, not suitable for small children. We had quite bad luck with the weather, it rained more or less continuously on 4 out of 6 days, but it didn't rain in the house despite the missing walls and you could sit out the rain well in the hammock. We were surprised that there were no insects. Amenities are good, but everything you need is no longer brand new due to the tropical weather. Amy and Ryan were great hosts, with tips and always easily accessible.

Nice eco-friendly place. Great for disconnecting from city life. Amy and Ryan are super friendly and helpful. Not toddler friendly though.

Host Response

Thank you, Manuel, for your honest feedback! We're glad you enjoyed our eco-friendly house. We take your comment about child safety seriously—installing railings is already planned for January, as we have young children ourselves.

The house is unique- better than the photos, it is part of the natural surroundings. We loved the split levels and that we always felt part if nature even when working remotely. The area is incredible- even during the rainy season- there are rolling hills, a waterfall, incredible natural beaches, wonderful restaurants, gorgeous beaches and the horseback riding with Katia that Amy recommended was one of the best we've ever taken and we have been riding all over the world. It is very difficult not to fall in love with Torio and give up your life to move there- it's easy to understand why so many ex-pats make it home.

Amy and Ryan are nice and helpful hosts. The house is nice, especially the outdoor shower. Unfortunately, the kitchen equipment was very worn, the cleanliness left something to be desired. During the day, very noisy construction vehicles regularly pass by the house.

Host Response

Thank you for your feedback, Linda. We’re truly sorry that you were not satisfied with the cleanliness and kitchen utensils. To ensure a more enjoyable experience for our future guests, we’re committed to continuous improvement. It would be very helpful if you could provide us with a more detailed description of the issues. This way, we can guide our cleaning staff more precisely and know which utensils need replacing. We hope you enjoyed Torio and Panama, and we appreciate that you stayed with us.

Where to start, first time in Torio and I already want to come back, Amy and her husband where excellent hosts, always helpful, always right on when we needed them. The house, no words to describe it, beautiful surroundings, the open concept new to us but most welcome just the thing we needed. I would say if you are planing to know Torio and all Mariato beaches; Amy’s house is the one to stay in and get the whole experience. 10/10
