I really liked the place; it was very peaceful, and we were able to rest well. The house is very nice, in a good location, and the host is a super-friendly person, as we Costa Ricans are known to be, and even more so for people from that area—always attentive and polite.

A very beautiful place, quiet and surrounded by nature

Karolina's place was so relaxing and beautiful. We loved listening to the birds in the mornings, the sunsets were absolutely amazing. People were friendly, and we felt safe. Peaceful and beautiful!

Casa Montaña y Paz was exactly as the name describes, a place full of peace, with beautiful views of the mountains and fresh air. The stay was the best, Karolina and Paola were always attentive to our needs and their responses were always super fast before and during our trip. I would definitely visit this beautiful place again and recommend it 100%! For a better experience in cases of groups of +6 people, we recommend bringing a car with a 2000 or higher engine, if you plan to visit the surroundings, or 4x4 cars (depending on the route).

We spent a truly wonderful, relaxing month at Karolina's place and cannot recommend it highly enough. If I could give it 100 stars I would! It is so peaceful with beautiful views of the surrounding hills from the porch. The house is very comfortable, well equipped for long stays, and has good wifi if you work remotely. The thing that made this stay outstanding though was Karolina and her family who made us feel so incredibly welcome. You can feel the love they have put into this home and we enjoyed getting to know them and practicing our (very bad!) Spanish. We wanted to stay another month here, but sadly for us Karolina had another booking. We can't wait to return to this little piece of paradise.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful and peaceful abode. Everything seemed just perfect. Karolina’s suggestions for grocery shopping nearby too were so helpful and the bakery next to Pali grocery store was amazing. The area is so safe and beautiful. We loved the kitchen and felt grateful for a washer machine. Such nice touches! We really enjoyed the hikes at the nearby nature reserve. Perhaps some FYIs is to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as well as the roads going through the mountains to the place seemed a little steep for our little economy car but turned out to be no problem. Bring a flashlight too just in case. Always a good idea in Costa Rica. Thank you Karolina so much! We hope to be back again soon!!

The home was located in such a beautiful spot. The fact that it was on a hill made for beautiful sunsets. It was a short ~25min drive from two main towns which we visited quite often to get groceries and other necessities. If given the chance, we would stay here again especially because of how amazing our host Karolina was. It made our three weeks here fly by. Gracias Karo.

Great, sensibly designed house in a very quiet, natural environment. Plenty of space in and around the house. The altitude is great, not so high humidity and no mosquitoes. The amenities were very good, I didn't miss anything. Very suitable for families with kids.

We enjoyed being in this peaceful family home. We loved to just sit on the porch for hours, listening to the sounds, reading, with a dreamy view over the rural hills, which was a treat for our mind. It is a pleasure to communicate with Karolina, as she is a warm and welcoming person, matching the atmosphere of the villa.

The house is extremely nice, tidy, clean and equipped with everything you might need. Karolina is an excellent host, she is patient and understanding and even left us as a gift a coffee from the area and delicious donuts. The area is beautiful and very quiet, the peace you feel is ineffable. The climate is changing and cool - compared to other areas of Guanacaste -, we had rain and sunny days, but with both you enjoy it. In addition, the house is surrounded by nature, which is a plus if you are a lover of it. We managed to observe many species of birds, butterflies and very nice moths. And just a few kilometers away are viewpoints and nature reserves that can be visited. Thank you very much Karolina for having had such a great time. We can't wait to go back!

A perfect place to spend time as a family and visit guanacaste. Highly recommended

The house is located in an excellent place to disconnect and live with nature, incredible but super cool weather after 4pm. We were able to observe many animals among them deer, Congos monkeys and the Estaca Bird that delighted us every morning with their melody. Super recommended

We really enjoyed our stay in the peaceful mountains, relaxing in the porch & exploring the near by towns. Karolina is so friendly, kind & made sure we were comfortable. Nature sounds are amazing and so relaxing and so is the view. We saw beautiful butterflies, cows, horses, many birds and we could hear the monkeys at distance. Internet, a/c, washer and full kitchen were amenities that made our stay so much more comfortable. We felt very safe & hope to be back soon! We had such a wonderful time here. The house has basic furniture and utilities but I think this is normal for the area. It is in a serene and quiet location. The only sounds you might hear are occasional motor bikes in the early morning. The sunsets are magnificent and the locals are super friendly. There is a good breeze in the mornings and afternoons so the house is nice and cool. We loved the deck on both sides of the house and that the car was under a shaded carport. There’s mango 🥭 trees right outside the house 🥰

Happy to stay in this house. Nice weather and views. (Nicoya is warm, but this house is in a hill, so it receives fresh air). Also the parking space for the car is roof it. Nice place to stay.

Karolina is a super host, very accommodating, kind and helpful. When the gas bottle was empty, she responded immediately to our message and we had a new bottle within an hour. We felt very comfortable in the house. The house has a beautiful view and there is a pleasant wind despite the heat.

The house is simple but perfect for us to disconnect from hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnect with each other. Several restaurants within 15-30 mins with great food as well. Karolina was very responsive and attentive to any issues that arose - quickly correcting a water issue we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing place!! Super clean and comfortable. The views is breathtaking and it's super peaceful. We got to see monkeys on the trees behind the property!! We tried to cancel our next reservation because we didn't want to leave this Airbnb! Thank you so much for having us!!

Host was excellent: example - microwave died (really old) during my stay, she replaced that day with new one. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were too flimsy in my opinion, but ok. Wifi was good, a bit slow but decent and it was reliable. Not good enough for live video calls but could stream some (AppleTV+). AC was good (it is in 2 bedrooms now, a previous review said it was in 1 bedroom). As the photos show it has nice views. It is pretty far from town (maybe 15 minutes by car?). It was a nice place for me to relax for a week.

We stayed two nights at Karolina's place. On the large terrace you can watch the beautiful sunsets and sunsets. The place is really great to relax in nature for a few days. Karolina always responded quickly and took care of everything.

A very peaceful place and very pleasant weather! Just to disconnect a little from routine!

We loved it! So peaceful, amazing views, great space. It’s a bit hard to get to, but once you are here it’s incredible. We came as family with 3 kids and loved being there. Playing on the grass, sitting outside, watching birds and animals, and just enjoying the scenery. The house was very clean and had all we needed. Only issue was air conditioning (only in main bedroom and makes a loud noise) and Wi-Fi doesn’t work so well, but besides that all was great. Host was super responsive and helpful and also helped recommend supermarkets and places to go. We went to Monte alto - a gem of a National park only 20 minutes away. We were all by ourselves there and had some great walks and saw families of monkeys too. Overall a great stop in our Costa Rica journey and recommended!

We felt very comfortable and Karolina is a very good host. Whenever we had questions and requests, she helped quickly and easily. If you are looking for peace and the original Guanacaste, this is the place to be. There is a very pleasant climate here, the most beautiful stalls of Costa Rica can be reached within an hour by car and there are two great restaurants nearby, the Yiya's in Zapotal and the CARIS in Carmona

Karolina's accommodation is very clean. The views are superb and Karolina recommended a superb restaurant that we tested. The gifts upon arrival were very much appreciated. Thank you!

This is the perfect place to stay for a quiet, peaceful getaway. Karolina’s property is located up a beautiful mountain and is super private. Karolina was so incredibly kind and met our every need! She went above and beyond as a host and we were so grateful. We highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a genuine Costa Rican experience.

The house is large and beautiful, very nice view. It is a dream place for tranquility. I recommend you have a 4x4 to get to and walk around. Air conditioning in the master bedroom and fans in the other 2 bedrooms. Karolina and her father are super nice and responsive. Lots of products are provided to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Playa Carillo (wow!) and Playa Sàmara about 1 hour away. Yiya's Restaurant about 7km from the house, is definitely worth it for the amazing view and to enjoy a nice meal. There is a grocery store (Pali) 15 minutes drive away. Nice touches and recommendations from the host. Loved our stay!

Place with very beautiful views, well equipped and quiet. Excellent host. You just have to take into account recommendations on roads, to avoid those that are ballast everything if the vehicle is low.

This is a spacious house with everything you might need for a good stay. Super spacious and very clean. Once you get to the place, you feel an incredible peace where the only thing you will hear is the singing of the birds . There is also a wide variety of beaches that you can visit just minutes from the house. Carolina is a great host, she was always attentive so that we didn't need anything and when we arrived she left us a beautiful detail of fruits and chocolates that my children really enjoyed, dare to book this beautiful paradise 100% recommended.
