This was my first time to the area and I was on sort of a mission trip to scout for places for my wife and I to stay next winter. Fell in love with this location and we will definitely be back for a long day next winter.

Michaela’s place was so perfect For our stay in the jungle near the beaches…. Took us out of our comfort zone with the drive, dirt roads and to get to Samara you cross 3 rivers/ water areas! Michaela is so much fun as a host. She made us feel so welcome! The restaurant at the bottom of driveway was 5 star sis t look like much but Maria and Janet serve up a very impressive meal. If you want some jungle close to beaches on your Cost Rica adventure don’t hesitate to stay here … I hope to be back some day!

We booked Michaela's place at the last minute, and afterwards we were surprised that there was still room, the place is so great! Michaela and her husband are very welcoming and you feel really good! The pool is great with a great view! in the dry season, we are in Samara in just 10 minutes! an address to recommend without hesitation!

Very nice place. Didn’t spend a lot of time there since the local beaches are great but the breakfast was very good and filling and reasonably priced. You will want a 4x4 small suv for getting there, but it’s not too bad.

This was our first trip to Costa Rica. We treasured every moment of our stay here. The accommodations were impeccable. The views were breathtaking. The hospitality is unrivalled. The food was absolutely amazing. If you would like to experience Costa Rica in all of its natural splendor - you must stay here. A short hike to beautiful beaches. Thank you for the memories! It was such a pleasure to stay at Michaela's! Serene, beautiful space, amazing view, a peaceful oasis. Michaela and Andreas are such caring hosts! I miss chatting with Michaela and having a good laugh every time we have a conversation. Our guesthouse was super clean and had this airy light welcoming feel about it. Breakfast is a must - fresh ingredients, exquisute fruits and a coffee I crave every morning. Hoping to be back one day to try Michaela's famous goulash and to enjoy the view from a carefully nurtured garden. Many thanks!

You can tell right from booking that Michaela and Andy treat both their space and their guests with so much love and hospitality. Although I was only able to stay for a night because I was staying elsewhere for a wedding, they provided a gentle place for me to land after a long journey from Portugal. I would absolutely stay again and for longer!

Wonderful place with a spectacular host. Micaela is lovely and knowledgeable The extra for breakfast is a deal for such great food. She also will make dinners, we only ate her cooking for three days. Can’t wait to come back

Nido Rojo is definitely an Amazing spot with a great ocean view. 100% recommended.

Michaela is extraordinary, very happy with the place, she gave us a welcome gift that my wife and I did not expect, the place is in the middle of the jungle and is spectacular.

This was a wonderful place to spend a few days to hang out. It’s quite an adventure getting to the place, going anywhere off the beaten path in CR is an adventure. Close to a lot of different beaches, the pool was a nice place to relax by, and Michaela makes a nice breakfast to get the day started. There is a fun local restaurant just down the hill that adds an awesome vibe to the whole stay. Definitely one of the better places we’ve stayed at.

Michaela's accommodation is beautiful, it has a magnificent view of the sea and the mountains, which makes you feel in touch with nature. The pool was spotless and very refreshing. The green areas give it a special touch as it looks beautiful. As for the room, it was perfectly clean and organized, the king bed is a plus, and in addition to this it is very spacious. We highly recommend it for a stay in the area, we would be delighted to stay again.
