We had a very pleasant stay at this house. The place was clearly built and designed with care and attention to detail and quality. Beautiful and cozy, with plenty of space indoors and out. Best beach stay vacation for this family yet.

We have stayed in a handful of places along Esterillos over the years. Casa Mariposa is a true gem! While there are definitely cheaper places to stay, you certainly get what you pay for. The highlight for us was the kitchen with literally everything you could need for cooking and dropping in for a restful stay. In other places we have stayed - we are making do just to be on the ocean. Mariposa gives you the luxury of oceanfront and the comfort and feel of a home. The location is private, quiet and the Centro area is the absolutely the quietest part of Esterillos. You are far enough from the road to avoid engine sounds and literally steps from an epic, basically empty beach. You will want a car to get around as most amenities (grocery and restaurants) are a decent walk in the heat and local cabs/Uber are very hard to come by. We will stay here again!

The house is great, we had 3 bedrooms and the whole complex to ourselves. It is a beautiful house and exactly matches the photos (this is sometimes different). Nice furnished house with beautiful whole spacious bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with really everything you need and a great garden with wonderful swimming pool, where the macaws fly by right in front of you! The host was quick to respond and very flexible and friendly.

Beautiful beachfront house, heavenly. You can hear the waves and see iguanas, macaw parrots, flycatchers, etc. The beach stretches over miles of gray, black sand - ideal for playing with children. The house is impeccably clean, well-equipped (including kitchen and comfortable beds) and our contact Michel was very quick to respond. The house is close to lots of small restaurants a few minutes' drive away. We felt safe.

Our host Michel was very helpful and accommodating. Kitchen was very well equipped. All appliances worked well and the place has good air conditioning. We enjoyed local restaurants, beautiful and quiet beach and amazing sunsets. The beach (2 minutes walk) is right outside and can be seen from the house balcony.

My parents and I loved our stay at Casa Mariposa. Esterillos is a lovely beach to walk, watch the sunset and take pictures. The house is literally front beach, the pool is perfect too. I would come back for sure! :)

Our family had an absolutely amazing stay at Brett’s beach home! We loved the pool area, and the large covered patio table and hanging swings. We saw some wildlife as well, such as iguanas, lizards, parrots, and crabs. The beds were comfortable and although I was initially worried about being hot at night- I should not have been. There is an upstairs and downstairs air unit that keep the bedrooms cool while you sleep. Loved our stay at this beautiful home. Thank you Brett for allowing us to stay here!

This was HANDS DOWN the best airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! The beach is literally steps from the driveway. We had a private beach to ourselves with MAYBE 10 people total, and 10 people was on a busy weekend day. Most incredible sunsets from the beach. Better than any other beach we visited during our time here. Host left a great binder of recommendations for food, activities. We are planning a trip back ASAP once we have our baby! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. The beach was private and the sunsets were amazing; we loved taking walks along the shoreline. The pool & patio area were great and we had fun naming the iguanas. The upper deck is the perfect spot to have morning coffee and enjoy the beach view.

I had a lovely stay as Casa Mariposa! Very remote and the beach was so private and amazing to enjoy! The house was AMAZING had everything you could think of:) Did not know that the property was shared with 2 suites but was not mad about it! Very nice environment and I will definitely be coming back again! Host is very welcoming and super nice :)
