Great place, really nice people, can't get a better location if u want to surf

We had an awesome time staying at Brais’ place. The location was perfect, the neighborhood had such a friendly, local feel, and it was easy to settle right in. We loved being so close to great surf, and it made for an amazing trip. One afternoon we were treated to local tamales, the best we’ve ever had! We’ll definitely stay here again and can’t wait to come back!

Staying here really makes you feel like a local. Brais and G are awesome, super welcoming and just really great people. They make the whole experience feel special, whether it’s pointing you to the best waves or showing you how to pull a coconut off the tree, cutting it and drinking the best coconut water you’ve ever had. The house has everything you need. Great AC in the bedrooms, comfy beds, and a kitchen that’s more than fully stocked. They will hook you up with the local produce truck (incredible fruit, veggies, even local chickens) and will point you to where to get fresh fish. You’re not just a tourist here, you actually feel like you’re experiencing the place the right way. Brais is also a certified surf instructor and has a great selection of boards right there. So whether you’re looking to learn to surf or just want great insights on the Pilon breaks he’s an amazing resource. Can’t recommend it enough. Pilon is beautiful on its own, but staying here is the best.

Staying at Brais’s place is a very special experience. The home is on a property where our exceptional hosts, Brais and G, live with their small children. There is another unit on the property as well. But despite the proximity, my husband and I were very happy with the space and privacy (we did book the entire home rather than just one room). The home is not fancy but quite comfortable with indoor-outdoor living, a beautiful garden, air-conditioned bedrooms, and a very well-stocked kitchen. The location is unbeatable - a very short walk down the road to the waves and a walkable beach. Brais has a great collection of boards, and the best tips for the local breaks. Pavones grocery stores are notoriously lacking, but Brais and G hooked us up with wonderful home-baked bread, local milk, eggs, fruit, and even fresh tamales. The vegetable truck rolls through a couple of times weekly. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay, and we hope to return again soon.

Brais and G went above and beyond as hosts. They are so kind and thoughtful and made me and my friends feel so at home. G’s bread is amazing (highly recommend ordering it) and they have a great board selection. We are all planning on coming on a regular basis :)

We stayed here for 2 weeks, with a group of 6 friends on a birthday surf trip. The house was clean, with a large and well stocked kitchen. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and there are bidets in the washrooms! Brais and G were truly wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed our interactions with them and their lovely children. They went above and beyond to make sure that our needs were met and we had a great time! We will be back, and definitely recommend it as a great place to stay.

Words cannot begin to explain what a magical time this was staying at the Seacret Spot. We travelled to Costa Rica with 3 small children and this was the perfect place to explore the area and to get a feel for the true Pura Vida mentality. The Pilon neighbourhood is really mellow and surrounded by incredible natural beauty and wildlife. We would wake up to a whole orchestra of birdsong every day which is definitely something we will miss. The beach was a stone’s throw from the house and if you surf the point break was super fun and had some of the best waves I’ve seen in a long time . I had some really great waves myself and my kids and wife loved the “wave pool” smaller wave further down the shore. Brais and Géraldine are some of the brightest and nicest people I have met and their kids were so smart and friendly too. They really helped out a bunch of times and could not have been more pleasant or charming. They really do live the life I wouldn’t hesitate to come back Pura Vida

We absolutely loved Brais and Gs place and their family!! Not only is the house perfectly set up and comfortable for us and our 2 kids, staying at the seacret spot was a beautiful experience in so many ways. We will be back !!

Brais and G’s place was a wonderful experience in total. From the friendly and accommodating early arrival to his great local recommendations and G’s amazing homemade bread, and neighbors tamales they so generously shared with us. The house itself is a great tropical home, the layout with kitchen downstairs and rooms on either end of the second floor with a fun game/exercise open space to hangout. The attic room is a really fun space with peekaboo ocean views. The kitchen has every accoutrement needed to make and prep meals. The grounds are beautiful with tropical landscape surrounding the house. It was a short walk to great surf and spectacular sunsets. Short drive to a local market and few eateries. We hope to visit again soon. Pura Vida!

I can’t say enough good things about this place and Brais and G as hosts! From the moment we booked the place and throughout the whole stay, Brais was very responsive and helpful. Our flights were a little delayed and they reached out to make sure we didn’t get lost getting into the rural town and then greeted us on arrival with a tour! The property is gated so we felt very safe the whole time we were there. Great location walkable to the beach and a great surf spot, as well as a store nearby for groceries. G made us the most delicious bread while we were there and helped us get coconuts from their tree for fresh coconut water. Brais and G even joined my family and the Pilon/Pavones community for my uncle’s memorial paddle out, as he was a friend and part time local there for over 30 years. This trip was so special and staying at the seacret spot made it so much better than we ever expected! We can’t wait to come back and stay here again someday!

Brais and G’s place was exactly what we wanted out of our stay, and then some. Their place is walkable to the beach and great surf. They are removed from any form of hustle and bustle. Rooms are air conditioned and very comfy, the kitchen is big and well equipped. We cooked in it almost every night for two weeks and loved it. The porch/living spaces are awesome and the ping pong table upstairs is great for afternoon thunderstorms and cold beers. Their kids are amazing, super smart and kind. We cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend their spot to anyone!

Brais and his lovely family are the best hosts. They welcomed us into the house as their family, provided us with all the assistance and the best advice in the area, in addition to getting any other details they needed. The house has the best location in the area, you can walk to some of the best waves on the planet, one block from the beach, with an environment of nature, animals and fruits in abundance. The kitchen is super-equipped with everything you need, the house is spacious and has different cool areas to rest and share. We are very happy to have found this house and especially to have met this nice family, thank you for everything, and we will return as soon as possible. Pura Vida 🙂

This place is a hidden gem. Not only is the house beautiful and well taken care of, but you are within walking distance to fun waves for all abilities. If that wasn't enough Brais, Geraldine, and their kids are the most amazing hosts! They rented us boards, made us bread, gave local recommendations, and their kids played lots with our son. We are so lucky we found their place, I can't say enough good things about it. Thank you for everything we can't wait to come back again.
