This basically sums up our experience at this Airbnb - family of 12 and everyone said they wanted to go back. Our family had a fabulous time, not just with the surrounding area but even just hanging out at the pool. The sunsets have to be the most beautiful we have seen. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We took our whole family to Fred’s house in playa flamingo and it was a once in a lifetime experience. We had our 3 children and 7 grandchildren with us ranging from 11 to 22. The views, swimming pool, and access to the beach were unbeatable. I dealt directly with Cee and her communication and suggestions were invaluable, between the chef’s coming to the house, the atv/zipline, waterfall tour, the transportation, golf cart rentals and the restaurant suggestions, she was the best. Highly recommend this place, being an older place a few minor inconveniences but overall an incredible experience.

This is a beautifully designed and maintained home in an awesome location. It's spacious and well-designed. Cee was a wonderful host, from making recommendations and arrangements to welcoming us upon arrival and answering questions. It was fun to meet Fred as well. The pool is so fun and beach below is gorgeous. Amazing views and sunsets! We would love to return.

Fred has a beautiful home with fantastic views. The house could use some updating but overall still very beautiful. Fred is onsite and we ran into him a few times, always friendly and considerate asking if we needed anything. Cee his manager was fabulous. Absolutely loved communicating with her both before and during the trip. Cee was very helpful with gathering information for me and making suggestions for things around the area. I can’t thank both Fred and Cee enough for the wonderful memories that were created there and we hope to come visit again.

Amazing stay at Fred’s luxury home with Cee hosting and Devony keeping everything super clean. We were 14 friends and family covering every generation 20’s to 70’s. Obvious spectacular view from every balcony and poolside from sun rise to sunset. So much living space, very interesting decor and art throughout. Close to restaurants, beach, groceries by walk or easy uber access . Comfy and relaxing atmosphere, fun had by all, we will definitely return. Thanks also to our pool and grounds guys!!!

This is our second time back to Fred’s and we love the location, the house and the sunsets. Cee was always easy to reach and responded quickly with any questions we had. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you Fred and Cee.

This was one of the best experiences we have ever had! The house was perfect for our family of 17. The view was absolutely phenomenal! Frankie and Richard were so helpful with everything! We were so sad to leave. The beach was beautiful and practically private. I cannot recommend this listing enough!! Thank y’all for a trip of a lifetime! We will definitely be back!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at an incredible oceanfront Airbnb property with three beautiful villas, and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful our experience was. Our family of 13 had plenty of room for everyone to sleep and stay comfortably. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, the host's attentiveness was evident. With a warm welcome we were provided a thorough tour of the property, ensuring we were familiar with all the amenities and features. It was clear that they had put a lot of effort into maintaining the villas and creating a welcoming atmosphere. This oceanfront location provided breathtaking views and a tranquil atmosphere. Overall, we cannot recommend this Airbnb host enough. Their attentiveness, accommodation, and dedication to guest satisfaction truly set them apart. Thank you, Richard, once again for being an exceptional host and for making our stay unforgettable!

We had a lovely time. My kids said best vacation ever! The house is beautiful with spectacular views! Great location!

Our family of 14 people, 9 adults and 5 children spent a wonderful week at Casa Banana Luna. The pictures on Airbnb are a great description. The main house was our gathering area with a spacious living, dining and kitchen that opened up to the lovely infinity pool. We also rented Casa Sol the small house attached to the big house. This gave us plenty of private space. Within walking distance were restaurants, marina (if you are fishing), shopping, grocery, ice cream, etc... The steps to the beach were a little challenging but all 14 of us made the walk a few times a day. We did spend a lot of time in the pool too. Richard, the house manager, was awesome! He met us when we got there and explained everything and gave us plenty of local knowledge. He was always available if needed. Our family will have many wonderful memories to last a lifetime spending a week at Casa Banana Luna.

Casa Banana Luna best asset is its beautiful location overlooking Flamingo beach. The higher position of the home in relation to the beach means there is a bit of a hike to get to the water, which is good exercise but challenging for my elderly parents. We drove them down by car when needed (5 minutes). Fred and Richard are wonderful hosts, very polite and attentive to guests needs throughout the stay. The Flamingo area seems to be getting quickly developed, and the nearby Marina has a higher-end shopping and restaurant area that looks really nice. The home was built at the turn of the century, so you can expect it to show its age despite maintenance. Some of the older features (appliances, electronics), show their age as well. However, I have to say that they are hardly missed as they are not the main attraction of this home. Bear in mind that local tax is not included, and will have to pay and additional 13% which is not made clear in the listing or by Airbnb. Overall a great stay.

This was an absolutely fantastic place for our family of 7 adults and seven children. It was a great location with restaurants nearby and a little stair hike to the beach. We were welcomed by Richard(quite a character) and made to feel at home by Fred. The pool was used continuously by adults and kids. Great star gazing at nighttime and somehow the owners were able to put a “banana moon” in the sky for the first night! The kitchen was very well supplied with with everything needed for our cooking. We are making plans to return!

Both Fred and Richard were beyond amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure the 11 of us had what we needed!! Lots of good restaurants within walking distance (you will need to rent a golf cart if you don't want to do the hill back home). Make sure to check out Coco Locos on the beach. We had a meal cooked in home one night by house staff that was a traditional Costa Rican meal and more than worth the money. The sunrise and sunsets are breathtaking from the pool and the beach below. We would definitely return!

Truly an amazing place for a group vacation/celebration. We had 10 adults and 6 children at Casa Banana Luna for a week and everyone was raving about how great a vacation it was. Fantastic location on the beach (with a bit of a walk to get down), beautiful pool, tons of space to hang out inside and out. Richard was amazingly helpful with everything along the way, and went out of his way to add special touches for us. He was immediately responsive with any questions we had and proactively helped us out with many things (including an initial grocery run). Fred was great to chat with and the housekeeping staff was a really nice touch. I can’t recommend this spot highly enough, we went for a 50th anniversary celebration and everyone is raving about how amazing of a time they had in large part because of the experience that we had at this property. We will be back!
