Robert’s place exceeded our expectation!We loved the sound of the jungle and the kids and us were having so much fun to spot animals around the villa! We saw macaws flying by, toucans sitting on top of a tree, dart fogs jumping by, iguanas basking in the sun, my son was greeted by a cute pig one morning, geckos running by, iguanas basking under the sun- all these sightings not even leaving the property, just enjoying some coffee at the outdoor table or having some family time by the pool. The view is breathtaking! We took advantage of the grill a couple of times and made quick healthy meals for 6 of us after the daily activities. The villa is very spacious, easily accommodate 6 people, although one bedroom with a private bath is tucked away and right next to the laundry room.Inside of the villa could benefit from some updates but nothing so significant that would take away the charm. Start your day early,and definitely get back to the villa before the rain.good driving skills a +

Robert was a great host—very responsive and quick to fix any issues that came up. The place was exactly as described, and everything matched the listing details. The highlight was definitely the view, along with the pool and deck area, which made the stay especially enjoyable. Overall a great experience and I’d happily stay here again. A 4x4 is a must and the driveway was quite the daily adventure. This is a pretty convenient spot to take some adventures North and South but watch out for traffic! It can quickly add a lot of time to any excursion. Also the fish in Tarcoles markets is amazing!

Very nice view, nice house

This airbnb was absolutely amazing and so beautiful! The views were breathtaking and so relaxing. We had such a wonderful time and Robert was so helpful. We would highly recommend staying here!

We had a great week at Villa Fortuna specifically, and Costa Rica, overall. We appreciated the opportunity.

The house pool and views are beautiful. We lived the way the bedrooms were spread out so each family had their privacy. The kitchen is fully stocked. Short drive to Los Suenos and Jaco. Love the keyless entry. You will NEED 4 wheel drive for the driveway. Robert is outstanding!!! A very kind and sweet man who wants your stay to feel like home. If you want to go to La Tortuga, use Costa Cats. I highly do not recommend Crocodile Man Tours for La Tortuga. Los Suenos Adventure park did an excellent ATV ride and chocolate tour exceeded my expectations. Mary was the greatest!!! We moved from the US in October 2024. We live Costa Rica. Pura Vida to all. The house was beautiful and the area was safe and just gorgeous. The vies from the house were the best I have seen and we have stayed at alot of houses in different countries. The one downfall I felt was that not all the patio doors were allowed to open. I am not sure if that is a safety risk for families with young kids, but we didn't have any young kids. The majority of them did but some of the bedrooms were no allowed to be open. Robert was great, he helped me set up some excursions and was always quick answering my questions. He was there to greet us and help us maneuver the driveway the first time ( that was an adventure). By the second day we had it all figured out and the challenging driveway is what got us up to the house to have those amazing views. The pool was great to come home to after sight seeing all day. Its gorgeous at night with all the lights, We saw lots of macaws and even the wild pigs came down by the pool desk one night. So all in all I would go back !!

Robert is a very attentive host to his guests both in terms of the comfort of the house, places to visit, good recommendations, etc. The house has an exceptional view and is very spacious and comfortable. Yes it takes a 4x4 absolutely and it's worth it! Thank you for everything Robert and look forward to it

A dream villa, well equipped for several people and with a charm that you can't find anywhere else: the vegetation, tranquility and its authentic "pura vida" lifestyle. Not to mention the little touches Robert offers to his guests, we felt safe and at home. It's a part of the success of our trip as well as this paradisiacal villa. The view from the pool and bedrooms is magical, we kept admiring it.

We had a great time. The house was plenty big for 3 couples. The pool was refreshing. You will need a 4x4 to get up driveway. It was a bit of a challenge at first but after the first time we were fine. The location of the home is perfect. Plenty of things to do and plenty places to eat. We love Costa Rica!!

The pool and view are reason enough to book this place!!! We spent some part of every day in the pool relaxing and enjoying the absolutely AMAZING view from the patio. Location was perfect for everything we wanted to do. Horseback riding, Jungle hikes, monkey house, beach and numerous restaurants all within 30min. Robert was great and very responsive. We had a small electrical issue and lost power for 1 day, but he did everything he could possibly do to get it up and working again for us. Overall we had an absolutely amazing trip! PS. Definitely rent a 4x4 if you plan on having a car for your stay. The driveway was crazy, but at the same time super fun, lol!

Robert’s place was definitely worth the journey. The house was spacious, beautiful, and clean. The view really made it worth it.. At first the drive up the hill was concerning, as I live in a very flat area and I’m not accustomed to conquering steep hills. You must have a 4X4 vehicle to properly get up and down, and the turns are very steep and sharp. This made me nervous, but once we grew accustomed to driving up and down, it actually became one of our favorite parts. We even walked up and down with the kids and exercised some days.. it’s a very unique space. My spiritual teacher said if you want to be inspired, go to Costa Rica.. So I did, and this space really created an abundance of heartfelt memories.. So much, we plan on returning. Most of our time was spent outside at the pool or roaming the grounds. If you’re looking for peace and serenity, this is it. Trust me, you will want to stay forever..
